The second best part of the show... Tomato HayStack:
Kimmy yelling "Listen to Me!!!" in that high pitched shriek of hers and Rob yelling "Way to cry!" LOL

The best part of the show...Multiple PhilPacks.

uh-oh. sorry Ms. T.

i was wondering if something was lost in the editing or if I just missed it, but how did we get from KimberRob wanting to quit to them finding the clue? Did he just "happen" by it, or did he convince her to continue? That whole scene was AWESOME!

ZB - Rob asked the taxi driver how far to the other detour and when he found out how long it would take he told his true love that they HAD to find the needle in the tomato stack.

Ugh. Part of me doesn't even care who wins now...I guess I have to go with the Junkie Models, since Rob and Kimberly are simply horrid, and the Bama girls have pissed me off all season with their hypocritical hate. And Karlyn doesn't deserve Lyn as a friend - Lyn is such a nice woman, and Karlyn is a raging bitch. Hey, I guess I just figured out that I only have a problem with Karlyn! Sorry Lyn, guilt by association!

I was so hoping that Rob was throwing away tomatoes with the clue inside when he was fighting back. What a douchelick!

I still can't get over the fact that two teams succeeded in a needle-in-the-haystack situation. Those never pan out.

The Spanish are cool.

Like, trust me. I've studied in Spain.

I had to do multiple photo scavenger hunts in different cities. The Spanish are sneaky. They will tell you the wrong directions if they know you're a student or tourist. It's their "little joke on you."

And I'm so mad. :( I was just in Spain last summer for over a month and they go to BARCELONA??? The one major city I didn't visit. God, I was looking out for those clue boxes everywhere I went...

Anyway, ANTM is in Barcelona too, right? I think it would be AWESOME if a challenge was to, like, do a runway walk on platforms over a bullring. I can just see Rob (I'M TRYING TO DO MY SPIN GOD KIM SHUT UP I'M LOSING FOCUS DON'T LOOK AT ME JUST GO AWAY).

Lyn/Lyn is my fav team. I want them to win (but they'll come in third, natch).

Part of me doesn't care who wins now either but I feel so bad for Lyn being with Karlyn (even though she apologized) that I want them to win for Lyn's sake. It's the way I feel about season three winners, Flo and Zach. While it galls me that Flo got that money, Zach so deserved to win after have to do the entire race with useless, whiny Flo tied to him like an albatross.

I also can't believe the two teams that did a search detour were the first two at the pit stop! Unbelievable. :w00t: The fact that the BQs didn't see the other teams as a threat and were only worried about the Models shows their arrogance. It was like when everyone assumed that the first ones to the antique shop in Morocco were the BQs because Lyn/Lyn couldn't possibly get anywhere faster than them. TAR is so ruled by luck. Even the best laid plans of teams can be waylaid by taxi trouble, car trouble, airport trouble, etc. If I were on the race, I would be paranoid about everyone and always assume I was last. Don't know if that would help to win or not.

Was anyone else annoyed that Rob kept calling Kimberley Dude? I know a lot of people do that, but do they usually do it with their girlfriend? Am I totally lame to think I would not want my boyfriend calling me dude?

There's no one left I really care about. I guess I'll just be glad if it's not Romberley.

I agree with everything you said, although maybe Kimberob deserves to win just because they provided viewers with hours of entertainment. I was laughing so hard at their tomato fight that I was in tears! I love how he wasn't even helping Kimberly search for the clue and he was just throwing tomatoes back at the people. I think the problem with the tomato detour was that they put the clues too close to the outside. They should have put the clues at the bottom, in the middle of the pile.

I'm sad that Dustin and Candice are gone, they played the best game. :(

Karo, I was saying the same thing to my hubby. I hate when a guy calls a girl "dude" WTF???

How many times did they scream BABE! We could have made a drinking game of that.

Loved the many PhilPackages. If there was a bow on them, it could have been an early Christmas gift!

Loved even more, that the snooty BQ's were eliminated. I cheered, high fived my hubby, kissed the cat, danced a jig.

I'm such a big hot chick right now? Ok druggie model, whatever get's you thru your day. That is the first time I saw the "needle in a haystack" search beat out another challenge. I was stunned.

Great episode.

Very glad to see the blondie gone. Rob and Kim grate so much!!! i'm still rooting for the druggie modeals and they annoy me the least.

I totally agree. I was watching, thinking - they have NO IDEA that they're last!! I was loving this - when the models came in third and the BQ's last. SWEET!!

I'm hoping for a 'Bama win, even though the skinny one seems to have some issues.

So I have a question. I've noticed that a lot of people call them the junkie models, but did they ever say what kind of drugs they did? I don't remember that far back so I was just wondering if they really did heroin or if it was something else.

The sadness still lingers. :( Goodbye, Miss Americas. You were the best team this season. Competitive and entertaining, nobody else came close. No other team scared the crap out of their competitors like Dustin and Candice.

I agree. I didn't even want to watch after I saw Rob and Kimberly come in first and knew they'd be eliminated. I'd love to see the girls compete against the "best teams" in All Stars. Two extremely competitive girls with an unending lucky streak fighting with the extremely competitive Rob, who also happens to be eerily lucky? TV gold!

Definately one of the best episdoes of the season
I loved seeing Rob and Kim going crazy with the tomatos :)
I guess the BQ's were trying to cover all their bases, but asking the models to let them win? Did anyone think that would work?
Glad to see the BQ's gone, I never thought I'd see the day where I was happy to see rob and kim come in first.

I so agree with you.

I thought they were the hardest playing and most deserving team to win... and then they pulled that crapola. Were they serious? Would they give up first place AND the prize that comes with it? I think we all know the answer to that - HELL NO! And that's totally cool because they were there to win and there's nothing wrong with that. But to think that someone else would for you (or even ask for that matter)? Also, why would you assume that anyone would want the strongest team to go to the final leg of the race with them? Yeah, that would make excellent strategy.

I wanted them to get back to what they do best... play the game, not do some stupid eyelash batting begging garbage. They are so much better than that.

On EW.com, whoever wrote the recap article said their asking to be given first place was exactly like when cheerleaders in high school would flirt with the nerds so they could cheat off of their tests. Even though I like them, I have to agree. Although you have to give 'em credit for trying.

Even though I hate those super popular, irritating girls who can't help but have all the luck thrown their way in real life, I find myself rooting for these kinds of girls on TV, and I don't know why. The Beauty Queens were my pick for the season once David and Mary lost, and I find myself still liking Parvati on Survivor. God help me, I even secretly liked Jackie on Heroes!

What's wrong with me?!

For those who are holding out for a Dustin/Kandice reappearance on All Stars:

I think you may get your wish... on the Finish Line (that online talk show for the Amazing Race) they were suspiciously absent, when usually the newly-eliminated team gets interviewed... hmmmm

Ms. Tumnus

Hmmmm...DickeyD, you are probably right.

They likely need to have at least two all girl teams so with Charla and the other one (didn't watch that season) they'll be the second.

Interesting.

With Romber and the BQs, not to mention the other strong teams, David and Mary have NO chance in hell of winning this thing.

I LOVED this episode (finally watched it last night -- and no worries HB. It was still entertaining). I have a feeling there were more clues than usual in that tomato pile. Did Phil actually say "find one of 4" or anything like that? There could have been dozens in there just to speed things along and flip our expectations of the searching tasks.

I went to Barcelona a few years ago and spent a good 2 hours sitting on those very steps. Twice a week in the summer they put on this light and sound show with the fountains and it's AMAZING. My roommate and I sat there through two of the shows cause they were so nice. It was pretty romantic. Too bad I was there with her :(

I've been there, too, and it is a very romantic city. Too bad I was with my family. I bet you're dying of jealousy that you were there with a girl, while the BQ's got to spend the night in Barcelona with Phil.

And his white pants-envelopped package :) How very European of Phil.

I loved how he said "Spa" (Spahr). I had to repeat it outloud to myself, then when I showed the tape to my roommate (you know, so we could relive our romantic interlude) she did the same thing.

You know, the one difference between the BQs and the "super popular, irritating girls" is that those girls expect everything to be done for them, and for everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. The BQs worked hard during the race, didn't expect anything from any other team, only did what was best for them in the race.

I agree that their looks probably helped them get ahead with the locals in certain instances, but it wasn't like they were bitchy about it. And that happens on every season.

At first I was uncomfortable with them asking the models to let them come in first, but then I thought, what does it hurt? The worst the models could do was say no, so why not try to get them to give in? Of course the BQs would have said no if the positions were reversed, but why not ask? Cover as many bases as you can?

As a Romber fan:eek: , I didn't mind that the girls' looks got them help. We saw how much help Romber got b/c of their fame, so I agree with roob that every little bit helps and you have to work your advantages.

I feel like Barcelona is taunting me this year.. first ANTM, now TAR? Montjuic and the MNAC, as well as Placa Espana (right below all of it) are probably some of the more classically beautiful sites in BCN. Of course there is still Parc Guell, Casa Batllo, and Casa Mila... etc etc. But point is, I LOVE BCN!

Very sad that the BQs lost. I don't think it's wrong that their looks may have given them a certain advantage in the race. If you can use it to help you get further, why not?

I also agree that Lyn is mean by association. She is definitely more positive and kinder than Karlyn. I loved it when Lyn put Karlyn in check.

Kimberob have definitely ruined the word "babe" for me.
