For anyone interested, the 6th Season of Celebrity Big Brother starts in the UK on Wednesday 3rd January.

So far, rumoured contestants in the press have included - Dirk Benedict, Kevin Federline, Whitney Houston, OJ Simpson, Stephen Hawking, Adam Ant, David Hasselhoff (im only naming the ones that people in the US will have heard of).

Past contestants have included - Traci Bingham (Baywatch), Dennis Rhodman and Pete Burns (dead or alive singer) in the 2006 series. Bridgette Neilsen and Jackie Stallone in the 2005 series.

Yes Jackie Stallone, she came in late and was only there for a few days before she was evicted.

Brigitte was shocked when she walked in, i didn't think she expected to share the house with her ex-mother-in-law.

They managed to sort a lot of their differnces out from the time she was married to Sylvester Stallone and became friends before Jackie was evicted.

It wouldn't surprise me if they had tried to get her on the show, they try to go for some controversial people.

George Galloway in the last series was one because of his friendship with Saddam Hussein.

Wayne, first of all - a huge thank you for all the clips & great info that you post from the UK. I love it!
I can't believe how bad Jackie looked. I gather the public vote on the evictions, and having them live and with the fans gathered looks like fun.

Yes the public vote on the evictions, the contestants have to nominate who is up for eviction and the 2 or more with the most votes goes to the public vote.

The lauch show, the eviction shows and the final show are always live with a live crowd gathered outside.

TV coverage is a 1 hour highlights show daily with a live eviction show on a Friday night and live coverage from the house 24/7 shown on Satelite TV.

On a normal season of big brother there is around 12 housemates, but in the last season they ended up with about 24 people in the house, they just kept bringing new people in.

They started with 14, 2 people left in the first week (1 was removed for his own safety, the other disqualified for breaking rules), they brought 2 new housemates in to replace them, then another left because he didn't want the fame, they repleced him with a winner of a competition.

Then half way through they built a 2nd house next door and brought 6 new contestants in to live in there with one of the housemates from the main house, and then that housemate had to decide which 5 of the new housemates would move into the main house.

Then they decided to bring back some of the already evicted contestants, and the public had to vote on which 4 of them would enter the house next door before the housemates decided which 1 of them would return to the main house and even though the person had been evicted once, could also have a chance to win the show.

Its a pity a our reality series don't get shown in the US, we get to see most of the US ones, American Idol is screened over here 2 days after the US broadcast, Americas next top model, amazing race, so you think you can dance also get screened as well as others, we have even seen a season of your version of Big Brother

Shilpa looked lost when people were arriving as she wouldn't have known many (if any) of them, and they probably hadn't a clue who she was either.

Well Jade and her family are in the house, but only with 3 of the celebrities that started, the other 8 have moved next door to become their servants for the next few days.

The housemates decided that Ken, Jermaine and Shilpa would remain in the main house, so they are now part of Jade's family and now along with Jade and her family are up for the first eviction on Wednesday.

Donny has been booted out of the house tonight after breaking the rules.

The rocker climbed up and over the walls from the garden of the servants' quarters, gaining contact with the outside world in the process.

"In doing so he broke a fundamental rule," Big Brother told the servants by means of a laminate this evening.

The servants appeared largely apathetic to the news, having already guessed the outcome when Donny was summoned to the diary room some time earlier.

After raising a brief toast in memory of their departed housemate, the servants moved on to a discussion of sleeping arrangements.


Well thats one down, i was starting to like him, after he sobered up he wasn't that bad.

It is run all day and night on E4 as normal Big Brother is, if i turned it on now, i could probably sit and watch them sleep.

The released DVD's of the first 4 Normal Big Brothers but none after that.

It was Michelle and Stuart, and no that was in Big Brother 5, which was the year of the big fights in the house.

Ken is the latest to quit Celebrity Big Brother today. Thats 2 gone since they brought Jade and her family in.

Ken Russell has quit the show and left the house, Channel 4 confirmed this afternoon.

The 79-year-old left through the diary room at around 2pm - less than 48 hours after Donny Tourette exited the show in protest over the master-servant task.

Before he quit, Ken had been involved in a number of task-related rows with Jade and her family, including an argument about eating cheese.

Ken was unaware that he, together with Jermaine, Shilpa, Jade, Jack and Jackiey, was facing eviction from the house on Wednesday. It is believed that the eviction will still go ahead as planned.

Carole became the 2nd person to be evicted from the house.

If Leo hadn't walked earlier he would have been evicted tonight as he was ahead in the voting

Celebrity Big Brother sparks Indian protests

An effigy has been burnt by protesters in India over the treatment of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother.

Demonstrators in the city of Patna took to the streets after the actress was the subject of bitchy comments from fellow contestants Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd.

Meanwhile, broadcasting regulator Ofcom has received a record 13,000 complaints while Channel 4 has had around 2,000 claiming Shilpa is the subject of racist bullying.

Leading Bollywood film-maker Mahesh Bhatt believes the attitudes of the housemates are commonplace.

He said: "What is happening on Big Brother is just holding the mirror to the western society. This is the real, discriminating face of the West you can see on the streets of London or New York."

But Shilpa's agent Jaz Barton isn't convinced. She said: "I wouldn't call it racism. I think it's borderline. I think it's ignorance and jealousy. I think they're just envious. It is just bullying."

She added: "These girls are just ignorant and they don't realise what they're saying. I think when they come out of the house and see how they're perceived, I think they're going to be quite shocked."

Meanwhile, housemates have been threatened in emails sent to the show's broadcaster.

Hertfordshire Police have not confirmed if the threats are related to the controversy surrounding Shilpa, but they have confirmed a complaint was made about alleged racist behaviour in the house.

The allegations of racism have been discussed in the House of Commons, where MP Keith Vaz tabled an Early Day Motion criticising the treatment of Shilpa.

CBB sponsors Carphone Warehouse are said to be reviewing their links with the programme as a result of the allegations. A report claims Chief Executive Charles Dunstone is holding talks with Channel 4 bosses.

Mr Dunstone said: "We are talking to Channel 4. The sponsorship is constantly under review. Clearly, we are against racism.

"Most people understand that the person who has their name associated with the programme does not necessarily condone the content."

Statement from Channel 4 (who show Big Brother) regarding the racial abuse and bullying.

Channel 4 has issued a statement regarding the ongoing allegations of racism and bullying in the Big Brother house.

The statement in full:

"To date there has been no overt racial abuse or racist behaviour directed against Shilpa Shetty within the Big Brother house. However there has undoubtedly been a cultural and class clash between her and three of the British females in the house.

"Unambiguous racist behaviour and language is not tolerated under any circumstances in the Big Brother house. Housemates are constantly monitored and Channel 4 would intervene if a clear instance of this arose.

"It is in the nature of Big Brother that conflicts arise and housemates are encouraged to resolve issues among themselves.

"Shilpa has not voiced any concerns of racial abuse to Big Brother. Housemates have access to support from Big Brother at all times.

"The issue of whether there is racism in the CBB House has been discussed on Channel 4's companion programmes CBBLB and BB's BM and a range of views has been aired, including those of BB viewers."
