Now THAT'S a finale! Very exciting, minus the bullshit religious stuff. I've never liked that little subplot. I'm kind of interested in D'Anna's little visions of heaven or God or whatever she's seeing when she's dying, but I have no interest whatsoever in deciphering the Bible to find clues to Earth, like some kind of crazy alternate universe Da Vinci Code. Other than that, I loved this episode.
When Kara and Lee kissed, I thought, "Finally." Now they can do each other and stop bitching about everything. Unfortunately, that wasn't meant to be, and we're stuck with the stupid tension between the foursome. Although I love it that Anders and Duala are acting like total dicks to Apollo and Starbuck. Those two deserve it.
I felt so bad for Roslin during the Camp David summit with the Cylons and Baltar. She didn't seem mad at him; she just seemed so disappointed. She always put the most trust in him, even when others didn't, and she constantly tries to see the good in people, and it was terrible seeing how sad she was. But then again, it was also really sad seeing how sad Baltar was over the fact that Roslin is so sad. It was just a sad little convention that depressed the shit out of me.
Predictions for the second half of the season: Chief deciphers the clues in the temple in time, but he still has to destroy the place so the Cylons can't get to it. Adama doesn't nuke the ground, obviously, but he bombs the shit out of the Cylon baseships, destroying at least one. Obviously not the main one with Baltar and pals. This starts a mini little war. Somehow everyone gets back on Galactica, they jump the hell out of there, and resume the search for Earth, one step ahead of the Cylons. Also, something happens with baby Hera that I don't really care about.
One last thing: Did anyone notice the extras in this episode? Right off the bat when they showed everyone working on the planet, I was in shock at how beautiful the women were. It was like they boarded the civilian ships and said, "We need all strong men and large-breasted women to come with us." There was one in particular with a nice set of knockers that - not that I'm a pig or anything, but I couldn't keep my eyes off of them! She totally ruined every scene she was in, because I didn't care about the rest of the action. She first appeared in the first scene on the planet, and she must have caught someone's attention, because the camera actually follows her breasts for a while, too, before going back to the main characters. Faced with the decision to film some boring stuff with stupid actors, or a nice set of Perfect 10 bazongas, the camera man certainly made his choice. And I don't know which producer she was sleeping with, but she was everywhere in the episode! When Anders came in to consult with Kara and Lee, there she was! She even got a name at the end of the episode, but I'll be damned if I caught it. Point is, she has a magnificent pair of jubblies.
