I'm slowly getting caught up on Smallville (and by slowly, I mean at least four episodes a night), and I'm noticing a strange trend. Tons of supporting actors from Battlestar Galactica keep popping up on Smallville. The list so far:

-Kandyse McClure (Dualla)
-Tahmoh Pennikett (Helo) - As a quick aside, I've got this complex where I try to guess people's birthdays the first time I see them. The first time I saw Helo, I thought he looked like a guy who would have the same birthday as me. Apparently I was right. Anyway...
-Aaron Douglas (Tyrol)
-Nicki Clyne (Cally)
-Paul Campbell (Billy)
-Luciana Carro (Kat) - Apparently she appeared twice, once as a waitress at the Talon, and two years later, the role I noticed her in, as Chloe's roommate. Continuity error! Or perhaps this helps prove my theory, which I'll explain in a minute.
-Callum Keith Rennie (The creepiest Cylon) - He pretty much plays the same character in both series, only on Smallville his character had the power to control glass.
-Rekha Sharma (Tory)
-Lorena Gale (Dead Priestess)
-Alisen Down (Barolay) - Imagine how surprised I was to see the seductress who caught my eye in the mid-season finale of Battlestar Galactica show up as Lillian Luthor!
-Biski Gugushe (Some guy named Sekou) - I didn't catch this one; IMDB helped me out.
-The list goes on and on. Everyone right on down to some guy I don't remember whose character's name was "Chuckles" has been on Smallville.

My point is this: I figured out the mystery. "T-Bag, what in the Sam Hell are you talking about now? What mystery?" you ask. "Jesus Christ, no wonder your spouse divorced you!" I reply. "The mystery behind television!"

And I'm nice enough to share it with all of you: Battlestar Galactica isn't about the ancient past or the distant future, as we all previously thought. It's about the settling of Kansas! The thirteenth colony is Smallville, Kansas! The survivors on Galactica discovered the remains of the thirteenth colony in Smallville and settled there. Now, the only reason to explain Kat's two appearances would be that she's a Cylon, obviously. So if it turns out she's one of the five unknown Cylons, you all owe me a big pizza.

Never mind the fact that the two series share a couple producers, writers, and directors, not to mention casting directors. You can all thank me for solving the mystery with assorted very expensive Christmas presents.

If I cared even one iota about Smallville, I would shower you with presents. I really would. Too bad for you I'm not a Superman fan. I guess I'll just have to take all the money I would have spent on you and go buy myself something pretty.

I've never been a fan of the saying "It's the thought that counts." A card isn't nearly as nice as a card with a check inside of it.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that DL from Heroes appears in an episode of Smallville as a Kryptonian bent on taking over the world. Is there a possible Heroes/Smallville link? Have no fear, I'll decipher it if there is!

I'm also working fervently on my 30 Rock/CSI link theory, as well as the Late Night With Conan O'Brien/Mythbusters connection I've heard rumors about. The conspiracy will be cracked!

I'm also working fervently on [the] Late Night With Conan O'Brien/Mythbusters connection I've heard rumors about.

Now that one I'd be interested in! The only thing I've heard is that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was buried in the sidewalk after the decomposing pig episode, but my informant has nothing to substantiate those claims.

Interesting, very interesting...

Keep up the good work.
