Small update: I decided to quit smoking last night after work as I was driving home. Stopped off and bought some Nicotine gum. Not sure I'm using it properly as it says to "chew until it tingles" and then rest it next to my gums. I'm feeling no tingling whatsoever.

Pegster, Congratulations to you! This will be very hard but worth it( so they keep telling me). Just remember that even if you do have a relapse you still can do it. I haven't cheated at all in over two weeks and the willpower is stronger now.

Best advice, when you really, really want one - think of it, dream of it, wish for it; but then realize it's a bunch of grass and weeds in paper that is on fire!

Be assured... I quit smoking in june after I was sick. I had a heavy addiction. It was very hard. I have a candy dish of Lifesavers (wintergreen) that I would take one everytime I had an urge. I still have it....but don't eat as many anymore. I did use gum... but it was very strong with nicotine (4 mg). NY state sent them to me as part of a stop smoking campaign because they they changed the smoking laws. Good Luck...Deep breaths work too.

Aw Pegster don't feel bad, we all have set backs. This is a toughie, as I and others can attest. I learned (the hard way several times) that I can't have just one. I still have those fleeting moments of wanting one, but they are very short and are gone from my mind before I even realize it.

They already published them. It was right after Titanic came out on video. Me and a former coworker went to the gas station to buy the mag.
