Taking it off the air for 3 months was just stupid. I knew this would happen..... also those 6 episodes were not very good. Too focused on one thing and then the first episode when they finally come back is more of the same.

I didn't mind that they had it off the air for so long. I actually like that better than having a bunch of reruns. But I think you're right about the episodes that they came back with... viewers really became attached to the losties on the beach and then we didn't get see anything of them for a month and half. I like learning about the others, I just wish they'd switch back and forth or something.
