I think the real question is will Flippy give me a shout out in his recap and keep the "tradition*" going?

If he is reminded about it, he just might do it.:D

RIP Chief Lamb.
You had some of the best lines ever.

Why don't we ever start new threads? It's too hard to flip through all those pages.

Sheriff Lamb - Let's be honest, he was living on borrowed time anyway. Most likely the actor found another gig.

Kieth Mars - Yay!

I agree on all counts. I am so glad that last night we got Wallace and Mac in the same episode. Even though it was a week late I like the little vd hunt!

I was a little upset that they killed off Lamb! Yes, he was annoying and really mean, but I would have liked some development in his character. It would have been interesting to look into his past and such.

I'm thinking that the show's budget is was too small to keep all of the main characters. And really, the only way Keith would ever become sheriff was if Lamb died. It is still an anti-climatic way to die.....sort of how they killed off Meg.

And I heard that there is a Logan/Parker romance in the future. I'm not sure what I feel about that.....I'm still a Logan/Veronica fan, but a Logan/Parker relationship could be like a Logan/Hannah one, cute and fun....without a drugged up plastic surgeon and the Fitzpatricks, of course.

HATE the idea of Parker and Logan.

As for last night, one thing that irked me, and it's not a huge deal, I just have trouble with suspension of disbelief...the whole TV show being shifted back an hour because of the game. That may happen, but usually it gets adjusted around 1 or 2 am when the late night shows are done and the paid programming and reruns start up.

Bye Lamb. I figured it was bound to happen eventually. It'll be interesting to see what happens now that Keith is Sheriff.

I totally forgot about that! Yea for her! And I really like this Bronson kid. He's cute and seems to really like Mac. And she deserves it after all the badness that's happened to her.

if there is a Logan and Parker romance I will BARF! The girl is supposed to be V's friend. Maybe not so much as Mac is but still- if she sluts it out for Logan I will hate her forever.

Mac having sex?- yay! Let's hope she had an orgasm too.:D

Still, it wouldn't be all Parker's fault if she and Logan hooked up. Logan seemed to be starting to like Parker as well. Even if they do hook up, it'll still end up being Logan + Veronica = forever. The credits seem to really emphasize that.

I was so stunned I had to think about it for awhile before I said anything. But I still don't know what I think.

On one hand, I like that they have the balls to kill off someone like Lamb, who was a really popular villain. And people do die in really inauspicious ways like that. But on the other hand, NOOOO! Or at least, I don't know, have him murdered and Veronica and Keith can be the ones to solve it, digging up some loose ends along the way (like the whole "Lamb has a soft spot for abused kids" and "Lamb had an affair with Madison" plots that never got followed up on). Season 1 was great because we figured so much stuff out via flashbacks, and because the mystery was something that really mattered to Keith and V. It seems like kind of a waste to kill him off if they're not going to go that route.

Mostly I'm a little worried about losing Mars Investigations. My guess is that Keith was just named interim Sheriff until they can have another election, but the fact that he's a PI, and the fact that Lamb was a corrupt, incompetent local law enforcement figure, were really a huge part about what made the show noir.

But yeah, yay for Cliff and Mac and cool reveals in both of the mysteries. I like how one's a suicide that was set up to look like murder, and the other one was the other way around. And I really do trust these writers. Mostly. But man. I am still totally floored.

Also, I haven't yet given up hope that since we heard the news third-hand, he's not really dead and it's just some kind of elaborate ruse to smoke out Dr. Landry or something. Even though that doesn't make any sense. Sigh.

This has been the most intense television week ever. I swear, every drama I've seen so far has had me yelling at the television. Laaaaaaamb!!

Oh, my bad on not starting a new thread. Sometimes I'm just lazy. I'm sorry, J-Unit!

I totally agree with everyone who's against the Logan/Parker romance.

I didn't want to post too much last night because I didn't want to spoil it for everyone but now I can totally freak out with you guys. I was so excited that everyone (except Piz) was in the episode. I'm sitting on the couch yelling "There's Cliff!" "And Vinny." "Oh my God, Wallace and Mac in the same episode!" It was just great.

I loved the camera angles and noir-ness of it all; it's definately a step up from the beginning of the season. My roommate always laughs at me because I'm an emotional TV watcher, I laugh and cry but I was speechless at Lamb's death. Oh, that episode where he was lifting weights and Keith was spotting him...I'm drooling just remembering it. Not that he was my favorite character, but I loved how he was the antithesis of Keith and how they played off each other. Now I'm worried about Mars Investigations. Can you be a PI and a sheriff at the same time? Probably not.

I just can't wait for next week. :D

Oh my goodness, I was thinking of the EXACT same thing. That maybe this whole killing Lamb off was just a hoax and that he's really still in the hospital until Keith can figure out who killed the Dean. If only, right?

the actor that plays Lamb is from TX and gave an interview to the local paper. He said he's been sitting on his death info for six weeks hoping that no one would leak it. He's DEAD.:crying:
Poor Lamb!

I just rewatched the episode and I'm pissed that I didn't make the connection that Mel Stoltz was the guy that pressured the Dean to reinstate the Greeks. I'm also pissed that they killed off Richard Greico before we could figure out why his prints were on the Dean's computer.

Oh well- we'll see next week when the wrap it up. I have to recap it so I'll be taking LOTS of notes!:D

I totally didn't catch it at first either. Richard Greico, LOL.

I quote you quoting ZB. The weight lifting episode is forever burned in my brain. It's been a sad week in the Flipit home.

He was a shady man and I know! I LOVED MEG! That was so sad.

I like that this show keeps changing it up and keeping it fresh. I think the last five self contained episodes (or that's what we hear) will be pretty awesome. The writers can definitely pull it out and deliver.

Oi, I know. I read an interview he did with Micheal Ausiello from TVguide.com and I was very upset : (. There's no way he'll come back....too bad it wasn't some supernatural show like Buffy where dead characters ALWAYS came back (see Angel, Darla, Spike, etc., etc.)

Yes, Meg is still missed : ( She was the only '09er that was always nice to Veronica (no matter what Veronica's reputation was!)

I also think that the self contained episodes will be good. I have been LOVING the writing of the last few episodes. Haha, they are hee-larious. Hopefully, they will have more of the cast (I'm talking about Mac, Wallace and Weevil.....and Lamb surely did NOT have enough screen time this season).

OK- I posted this in the comments of Flip's recap, but WHY was the O'Dell house covered in plastic when the whole break-in/beating/shooting incident happened? Was she having it painted? Why?

man, you have a great eye for detail, zb. i didn't catch that until you pointed it out. i think i am too dumb for this show most of the time. you really have to focus on this shit. i watch it in slow motion practically and still missed that!

i have no idea why she was painting, but it can't be good since she doesn't have the money to spare for a remodel until suicide is taken off the table. but the dean wasn't killed at home, so she wouldn't be hiding blood spatter. my best guess is that the crazy teen son had a breakdown and ruined some walls. weak, i know, but hey i tried.

unless...she's painting b/c she can't afford the mortgage anymore and has to sell the house. I still don't know.

Don't give me too much credit flip b/c I mentioned that I rewatched the episode online so I didn't catch it until the second time around.:)

Is the episode on tonight the one where we find out who killed the Dean? My money's on Tim, I totally think his girlfriend cheated on him with Landry and he killed the Dean so he could frame him.
