Someone please help me understand the attraction of Sanjaya? I mean, it's not his voice, because he is the worst of the top 24 and has no stage presence.

I agree with angelic_shy_sweet_guy pretty much.

Except for the top 4, it doesnt matter to me in what order Blake, ChriS and Lakisha would go out, as long as Melinda was the last one standing.

I seriously could not stand many more weeks of Sanjaya and Haley.

Brandon needs to BRING it this week or his boring self needs to head home too. I think many people expected him to be stronger, have a big voice or show charisma on stage & he is completely BLAH.

As things stand now. I can pretty much guarantee I will change my preferences several times.


1 and 2 are Blake and Gina for me. I prefer rock to pop and I like Blakes original style. You don't have to have the best voice to succeed, as illustrated by Diana Ross.

3 is Jordin and I may slide her into first as time goes on.

4 and 5, I have to say Melinda and Lakisha but it takes more than a good voice. Melinda looks older than her years and neither has shown the personality to pull it off.

That is where my list ends. I will put the Chris' higher in the rest of this pack but not by much.

I could really see Jordin taking the idol title home, she hits Idol's demographic like a bullseye. She's talented, young, and very beautiful. I'd be very surprised to see a guy win this year.
Top three are Jordin, Melinda, Lakisha and a possible Blake (the only guy I can see continuing that far into the competition).

Jordin is from Glendale Arizona... Right here in the Valley of the sun... her Grandma was on the radio and said she has been in Nashville for the past couple of years performing... and I read somewhere she has won awards in amateur Christian music .... She may have the chops to go all way and she has personality and cateness -- and Friutbat is right... Melinda is too old looking. I like Blake too... he has star potential... I think if they look at Rubin and Taylor... over the long haul it is not just the singing... or the quirkiness for the moment. They have to have the whole package.
