Karaoke Dokey

Ok, it's Friday night, I'm too tired to go out, nothing on TV so I start flipping and stumbled across Kaoroake Dokey on CMT. On this episode the singers are singing to the tunes of Dolly Parton.

The first one looked kinda like Dolly and did a passable version of Jolene.

The second singer is Black, from the Carribbean and is sporting a gigantic blonde wig and some rhinestone studded jeans. She sang "Why'd ya come in here looking like that?" She had a great voice - shocking!

And right before commercial they show some people attempting to sing - and failing and they get stamped as Karaoke No-key. This is so cheeseball it's hilarious!

OMG- now they have a guy singing "Romeo" he has the big blonde wig, a red sequined pant suit, giant hoop earrings, lipstick, arm tattoos and a goatee.

That's how I read it too...I was picturing a show with...well, I'd better not let y'all into the dark recesses of my mind. Anyway, we have a local show on Saturday nights from one of the casinos where morons get up and try to sing karaoke style for cash prizes (top one is like $500). There's also a kid's version that's on earlier, so scary and sad to watch. They all suck (kids less than the adults), some enough to make your eardrums bleed. I think "Karaoke Donkey" would be a great retitle for the adult show.
