Loved the ending. He must have had some serious revelations in order to be doing that. (or Juliet must really give good head). Unless he was brainwashed

Looks like next week is gonna be Locke's redemption song.

Claire is Jack's sister, was that supposed to be a surprise?

It was great to see some more of our beachbound Losties again. Any time with Jin on the screen is happy time for me.

I'm kind of tired of Claire using her baby and relationship with Charlie. If he upsets her she tells him he's out of their lives, five minutes later he's back in. Over and over. If I were Charlie I'd say - thanks but no thanks. I couldn't be friends with someone who is always so ready to pull their friendship out from under me.

So Claire caused her Mom's brain damaging accident. We now know what puts her on the bad list.

Locke shoving Patch to his death - Damn! When are they going to get sick of Locke being such a loon? I mean I used to loveeeeeeee Locke - he was one of my hands down favorites. Now he just seems to have lost all sense and rationality. I was enjoying the Patch character - he answered questions! AND he knew all of their names and stories which was REALLY intriguing. Guess Locke felt threatened by that. I am looking forward to finding out what put Locke in that wheelchair but seriously they need to keep him away from any future hostages/computers or anything important.

I thought that was a great episode, despite the fact that we didn't see Hurley at all and barely saw Sawyer.

I was expecting the big reveal of Claire being Jack's half sister, but my roommate who just watches the show, doesn't read up on it or anthying was blown away.

I was so pissed off at freaking Danielle when she interrupted cyclops as he was talking about/to John. I want to know what he had to say!

And does anyone else think that it's pretty unlikely that the message onthe bird will make it anywhere? Um, it's a water bird and you put a piece of paper on its leg. I'm thinking it'll likely, you know, get wet and fall off.

Oops, looks like the suspension on my disbelief was acting up. I'll get it fixed before next week.

Ms. Tumnus, my wife said the same thing about the piece of paper!

Did anyone else think it was wierd that when Danielle asked why they didn't just use the C4 to blow up one of the posts that Locke said to you want to go up and touch it, but then with the tree bridge thing that they built you had to walk on the top of the pole and basically touch it?

I get the feeling that the writers are trying to have characters ask some obvious questions that they wouldn't have asked in the past (one of our biggest complaints). I don't know if that is making any sense and I am having trouble remembering exactly the other times it has happened but I was thinking about it last night while watching.

Sorry you had to go through my brain dump.

Yaa. what she said! I'm sorry I didn't watch it and I didn't get to Coppell untill it was too late. Next week I'll watch it for sure.

This always happens on Lost. Someone interrupts or something happens to distract the person asking questions. It's so tiresome.

I thought the episode last night was pretty dull. The only parts that were good were Sayid (hot as always), Patchy bleeding from the ears (gross but cool), and Jack playing football (I bet it took the others about 2 hrs to make Jack like them, he's pretty needy).

I hope next week's episode is as exciting as it looks. I think Locke was supposed to be an Other, but he flunked the entrance exam or something. He's been acting so fishy lately.

Yeah, and Sayid is getting pissed. He was all like "We'll talk about this later".....

Last night had no "wow" moments. Except for Jack playing football and enjoying himself. I like the looks on Sayid & Kate's faces.

I also like the guy frying. Seeing him foam at the mouth and bleed was great. Locke needs to be reigned in. I agree that patch guy could have shed more light on things, to be disposed of so soon. I used to like Locke too, Tink. Ever since the numbers entering mission, he's a different person.

I was wondering about the bird with the message being on paper. Duh. That is going to get wet. I kept saying to the tv, put in in something you idiots.

We got the Verizon FIOS installed and one of the best features is that I can record on my DVR and anybody can watch what I record on any one of the five freaking boxes we have to rent from them. So instead of us watching Lost together, everybody was in their own room. The kids watched it first at the same time/different rooms. They kept meeting in the hallway to compare notes. When I watched it later, I knew the part that excited them the most because of their shouts of "cool" and "bitchin".

Claire and her your in my life/no you aren't...gawd. The revelation that she and Jack were half siblings was a snooze. I do thank they made her into a good young Claire, though.

Wasn't there something about Jack's tattoo saying he was a leader?? Last time we saw him, he seemed resigned to being there or am I all wrong?

Haven't we moved past this whole "rescue" idea? That plot line is dead, and Charlie is so fucking irrelevant. I kept hoping for an abrupt FINAL DESTINATION moment while he was reading that poem. Maybe one of these days Desmond will sleep in and Charlie will choke on some fruit...

They need to keep making week-long bets with Sawyer so we can keep track of how much time passes. If the day they made the bet was Monday, I'm going to go out on a limb and say last night's episode was Wednesday.

I liked the vague, "Some people haven't survived after the crash." Much better than mentioning how many people the flight survivors have killed.

Claire is Jack's sister, was that supposed to be a surprise?
I know. I remembered everyone talking about it in the comment section of a recap a while ago so I searched for it... it was last May that everyone guessed they were siblings. So last night's revealation was not a big deal.

The only parts that were good were Sayid (hot as always), Patchy bleeding from the ears (gross but cool), and Jack playing football (I bet it took the others about 2 hrs to make Jack like them, he's pretty needy).

I thought it was really cool the way they made it look like he was trying to escape for just that one moment, and then you see him catch the football. I didn't expect that at all!

I was surprised they wrote such a long, drawn-out message to put on the bird. "There is new life too, blah, blah, blah."
And that it fit on that tiny piece of paper!

I like the fact that they've been on the island 80 days and Claire's baby is at least 6 mo. old.
I noticed that, too, chooch! That baby was nearly bigger than Claire!

Was anyone else distracted by the tiny little dancers that kept dancing across the bottom of the screen during Lost?

I mean I know they want to promote DWTS - but please keep the dancers of my LOST screen.

The first shot at the beginning of the show, the girl with black and blue eyes I kept think "man, she looks so familar!!! Why does she look so familar?" but I couldn't place where I'd seen her before. Then it finally hit me, and it was freaky at first, "oh that's Claire?". Crazy. And Jack running towards Kate at the end got me too, great fake out!

That was horrible. And if you don't know about DWTS, it had to have been really awkward, because they'd just dance across and put up the ABC logo and nothing about their show. Every time they appeared with their little cloud of magic dust, I thought, "Ooh! Another clue about the island!" for a split second.

Okay, so I got here late and of course everything I had to say was said already. But.

I too called that when you stick a note on the leg of a SEABIRD, it will get wet. Illegibly wet. Especially when you know it's a migratory bird and literally cannot fly over the ocean for days at a time.

I thought the distribution among characters was great. It's been nice getting back to the beach and spending time with everyone we left behind. And they have been balancing everything very nicely.

My family stopped watching the show b/c they said it was too hard to follow, but I told my dad that it was getting better and he watched this week with me since I was home. I think he liked it. I hope I converted him back! I get sad when good people leave that show. :)

I know how you feel. I get so disappointed in people for giving it up. Even on it's worst ep - it is still better than most stuff on tv.

I have a friend at work - well - the whole friendship was based on a share love of Lost. He has decided he is done with it. I don't know how to talk to him anymore. :(

I know this is totally gross and twisted of me, but I wish that Charlie and Claire would've been the half-siblings. Because, I mean, come on, what's better than incestual love?

Anyway, I was screaming at Claire, "WRITE THE DAMN DATE ON THE NOTE!!!" What's the point of writing a note if they can't pinpoint exactly where you are? They have the birds' paths probably, but they don't know exactly when you put the thing on, do they?

t-bag
03-16-2007, 08:18 AM
Exactly, Mark. All the people who find the note will know is that they're still on planet Earth somewhere. It's not like the plane crashed and they were like, "Well, let's not go look for them in that area." There was clearly a search, and if the first search didn't find you, what makes you so certain a second search will? The only clue they got was that vague thing the pilot said about turning around or whatever. Who the hell put Claire and Charlie in charge of the note, anyway? Two of the biggest morons on the island. The only one who could have fucked the note up more is Locke. He'd probably find a way to make the bird explode.

Correct me if I'm wrong -- we haven't seen Charlie and Claire so much as hug in a more-than-friends way, let alone kiss or emerge aglow from a tent.

What the hell is up with that relationship? Is he her manny?

They were totally distracting! I curse the person who ever thought of those cutesy little pop-ups for my tv screen. Ugh!

I wondered for a split second whether Aunt Lindsay could be Claire's mother. She seemed SO angry with Jack's/Claire's father it seemed almost unreasonable. But I don't think so. That would be needlessly complicated. Then again, this is Lost.

When the flock of birds flew over Kate and Company after the note had been attached, I almost expected the note-bearing bird to explode or be shot out of the sky. Glad that didn't happen.

Did I say Aunt Lindsay? Finally, my ultra theory that Lost and Arrested Development have deep, mystical ties. Yay, my two favorite shows!

Those birds could have just come from the other side of the island, they're probably Dharma birds with Dharma tags on their Dharma legs. They probably just fly around the island in one big loop. Unless they take the bearing that Ben gave Michael and Walt.
Or they were pulled in when the hatch blew.

It is very annoying, but I think it's pretty accurate. Claire is basically a teen mom on her own, they aren't known to be rational and fairminded.

I know tons of people find Claire to be an annoying character, but I try to cut her some slack. Imagine being in a plane crash while being pregnant, and then stuck on an island with a newborn, a bunch of crazy people, fart monsters, and polar bears. It's not exactly ideal for childrearing.

Claire is dumb and whiny. She needs to grow the fuck up and learn to deal with people without resorting to "get out of my life" every 5 minutes.. though it is Charlie, so maybe she's got a point. What a creepy little hobbit bastard, man.. I can't WAIT til he dies. 10 bucks says Locke kills him by accident. I think Desmond should just give up already--maybe he's just bored.

I hate Kate more and more with each episode--I was kinda hoping she'd fall between the pillars and die.. no such luck :( That look on her face when she saw Jack playing football was PRICELESS. I love to see her shocked and disappointed. I'm just waiting for the day when she leans in to kiss him again and he palms her face and screams "Gross, bitch! I'm not a fag, you whiny-ass tranny!" hahaha. I hate kate. But seriously, she such a moron sometimes--she can't think anything through, always has to act on her first impulse. Haven't you learned anything, Kate?? Things are not as they appear on the island.

Sorry for the long post, its been a while. :P Few more things: aren't we supposed to find out who is Sun's baby daddy at some point?

Dude, Sayid is totally hot, and his common sense, logic, and ability to stay rational (unlike *ahem* LOCKE) makes him so much hotter.

Sawyer is still really hot, and I miss his nicknames. Stop trying to censor him, losties!

Paulo and Nikki suck ass, they need to go.

Ok, that's all for now. :)

I like Charlie. Oh- Desmond is my MAN, but I don't want to see the hobbit die.

Could someone refresh my memory as to why Clair was on the plane to LA? was she going to give the baby up for adoption there? Did she know that her father came looking for her again, or did the Aunt just brush him off w/out her knowing? do you think her dad came back to help her let her mother die?

Wasn't he the same psychic that Eko talked to who's daughter nearly drowned that the wife thought was a miracle and who fessed up to the fact that he's a fraud?? Maybe he did have a couple in LA lined up for Claire. I thought it was someone on the island (maybe Claire herself) who thought he knew the plane was going down.

Yeah, it was the same guy, and yeah, it was Charlie and Claire who surmised that the psychic knew about the crash, but what would he have to gain from telling Claire to keep the baby?

Wasn't he telling her for months that she ought to keep the baby? I think he was even calling her at home to try and convince her not to give it up for adoption. I still think he knew about the crash, and maybe he only got his psychic abilities after having met Eko -- Dharma interference perhaps?

Fuck this show is complicated.
