I'm 23...a dude....living in Orlando. Born in Canada, lived several years in South Africa before moving to the States. Been reading TVgasm since BB6....those recaps were the funniest things i've ever read, got me hooked and ever since I've been promoting this site everywhere
Favorite drama = 24/LOST/Veronica Mars (I can't pick just one)
Favorite comedy = Seinfeld (of course) and Curb Your Enthusiasm
Favorite reality show = The Apprentice/Idol
Favorite talk show = Conan
I could probably think of more things, but it's 3AM and i'm losing focus.

Alright...can't leave you hanging out here all by your lonesome...
Age: 45, married, living in Phoenix, AZ. Originally from Chicago, because nobody is actually FROM Arizona.
Writer by trade.
Shows: 24, AI, Sopranos, Big Love, Miami Ink, any of those suck-you-in car shows on the Speed Channel ("today we're rebuilding a 55 Chevy!"), Deadliest Catch, Gray's Anatomy, Avatar, Blow Out, Rome, Deadwood, My Name is Earl, The Office, CSI, Criminal Minds, Numb3rs

I'll play too. Female, single, 39, zookeeper. My avatar pic is of a bonobo, which is one kind of primate I care for. I live in Texas, but I'm originally from Pittsburgh, PA- STEELERS RULE!!!!:D
I love Survivor, The Amazing Race, Lost, American Idol, Veronica Mars and Big Brother. I also sing and I would SO audition for AI if I wasn't too old for it. Out of all the reality shows though, I think I'd be best suited for BB b/c I'm pretty good at gossiping/scheming. I wouldn't want anyone to put a camera in my bathroom though. That would be tough to deal with!

I'm Nanette. I'm 31. Married. Librarian.
I live in central Illinois, which is much cooler than it sounds. Seriously.
I love, love, love the Amazing Race, Survivor, Top Chef, Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, the O.C., blah blah blah. And I especially love Big Brother. I even watched the pathetic first season with that creepy beauty queen chick and Chicken George and...my favorite...Brittany.
My guilty pleasure: One Tree Hill. Chad Michael Manwhore rules.
I would totally kick ass on Big Brother, although I'd be so bored I'd probably kill someone. It would make for good television.

I'm female. I live in Detroit. I'll be 28 next week which makes me sad. I got a Tivo because I spend too much time at the bar and kept missing my tv shows. I pretty much only watch reality tv or the news. I always wanted to be on the Real World but never tried out. I think Santino is pretty sexy.

Okie Dokie...
Female, 26, I was born in Texas, grew up in the midwest, college at Southwest MO State Univ, now live in beautiful (but expensive!) Upstate New York.
I stumbled onto TVgasm one day while I was trying to search for spoilers for Making the Band 3 (this is where you all point and laugh and I run away in shame)
Probably one of the VERY few Republicans around here....the first time I saw EDHills name, I immediately thought Fox & Friends E.D. Hill. I also never miss Rush Limbaugh's radio program. (Hmmm...if you listen close enough you can almost hear the pitter patter of "block this user" buttons going off)
Shows I love: Sopranos, Big Love,House, AI, Survivor, RW/RR Challenges

Never watched Top Gear...but a pal of mine is totally into the whole car scene, so he probably knows about it. He belongs to a national car club called the Sinners. You can check out his local website at www.sinnersaz.com.
He designs the site and the flyers for all their shows. Keeps threatening to make a 54 Ford pickup for me. That would be the day!

Hey guys,
I’m Ben (I know, it must have been hard to tell from my member name and all), I’m 20 and am a student in New York, born and bred, though I’d like to try my luck some place else. I found tvgasm in its early days during the Chentastic summer of Big Brother 5. One of the most valuable lessons this site has taught me is that putting “Chen” in front of an adjective makes it instantly funny, albeit awkward and robot-like
Some of my favorites include: The Office, My Name is Earl, Scrubs, Veronica Mars, Wonder Showzen, Reno 911, Lost, Invasion, also the dearly departed Arrested Development, plus the oldie but goodie Strangers with Candy, and to class up the joint a bit, Jerry Springer (see plexitoes, you’re not the only one running away in shame. Seriously though, the audience question part is hilarious.)
Ndonohue, I too watched BB1… it’s the sign of a true fan, but you know it got bad when they had to bring in a pug to save the show.

good one whawha!:)
I have shows that I'm embarrassed to admit liking too. If I'm home on my days off, I like the "jugde" shows. Judge Judy and The People's Court especially. I also like the cooking shows on PBS, especially Lidia's Italian Kitchen b/c Lidia ALWAYS complements herself on how good her food is. For good schmaltz, you can't beat Cheaters. Ever up at 1:30 am and can't sleep? Watching trashy media whores embarrass themselves publicly is HUGELY entertaining!

I'll jump on this band wagon...
My name is Jennifer and so far I am the oldest of this group (43). I live in the northern suburbs of Michigan (which is also cooler than it sounds - REALLY). I am married to a cop, have a 16 1/2 year old son at home. I work in the most boring office ever (Im an Accountant). Since the economy and business sucks, I have LOTS of free time to play on the internet and so I found TVGasm in my quest for daytime entertainment. Luckily I have my own office but I am sure my bosses wonder why I stiffle a laugh every morning about 9 am ...
I am an insomniac so I watch a lot of TV. Thank god for my DVR and On Demand! I watch religiously - ER (new and reruns on TNT), Absolutely Fabulous, Survivor, The O.C., Sopranos, South Park (I have a teenager), Simpsons, American Idol, Reruns of Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives (guilty pleasure), Anything with CSI in the title (thanks to my hubby), anything on Comedy Central, Without a Trace, way too much HGTV (Design to Sell and House Hunters especially), way too much Food Network (Ina Garten I LOVE YOU), Reruns of Queer as Folk (greatest show ever if you arent homophobic), Weeds, and my new favorite, Big Love.
We have lots of pets hence my avitar of our Bearded Dragon Lizard Bob...
Nice to meet everyone!!

Zoobabe--I think it is so cool you are a zoo keeper-I've always thought that would be an awesome job. I too occasionally partake in some late night shoddiness....Cheaters is hilarius. Also, I caught some of Maury the other day, something about finding out "who my baby daddy is" or some such thing. You know that feeling where you are totally mortified for the future of the human race? Almost makes me rethink my pro life stance...

Hey everybody!
I'm Gina, I was born and raised on television, I'm about to be 42 and I live in Waterbury, CT. I have a thrilling job as an office manager for a law firm. In fact, we used to have a partner named Ed Hill, so imagine my surprise!
My current favorite shows include LOST, Alias, American Idol (Wednesday's are a b*tch!), Battlestar Galactica, Sopranos, Deadwood, the recently departed Arrested Development, MXC and Original Recipe CSI. Oh, and I just recently got out from under my addiction to the TV Crack, a/k/a Law & Order reruns.
My guilty pleasure: Cash in the Attic on BBC America. God I'm so boring.
Hi Everyone,
I just joined and thought I'd do the polite thing by formally introducing myself.
I'm 25. I live in CT (I've noticed a disproportionately large number of Connecticut peeps on this board. I'm not sure what that means...) I'm a writer. I'm a huge TV junkie and get very offended when people try to blame television for their bad behavior. Don't go blaming poor, innocent, television, people! I've been reading the 'gasm for close to a year now. I first found out about it by clicking a link posted on Gawker.com. Or maybe it was Defamer.com. Either way, it was some blog in the gawker family that led me here and, for that, I am eternally grateful.
Anyway, I just posted a list of my favorite TV shows under the What's on Your Tivo? thread. I will shortly be posting my favorite books under the What are Reading? thread, so, if you really care, you can check that stuff out there. - Mulv

I currently own 3 - the new Dual tuner, a series 2 and old faithful original Sony tivo I got back the year they came out. Couldn't watch Tv without them!!
Favorite shows: Survivor, AI, Project Runway (only cuz of TVgasm), Big Brother, Amazing Race, Grey's and LOST.

I love The Sopranos, Lost, Alias, American Idol, ANTM (i agree, gina64-wednesdays are tough!!), most of Adult Swim-AquaTeen Hunger Force and Robot Chicken are my favorites, Top Chef, the aforementioned Big Brother, Prison Break, and man, I watch a lot of TV.
Dudes! I am so down for a CT TVgasm happy hour. Yeah, it would be totally weird and awkward and, quite possibly, a freakin' disaster, but at least it would be a funny. It could be funnny-funny, awkward-funny or sad-funny, but it would be funny. Well, maybe one day. A girl can dream, can't she?

Female, 28. I live in a small town called Middlebury in northern Indiana. In college my friends teased me that I was from Mayberry and they weren't really far off the mark. I was born and raised here in the country but after college "the big city" was calling to me so I moved to Phoenix, Arizona for 8 years. Finally moved back a year ago and haven't regretted it one bit. There's nothing quite like the country life. :) I work in accounting, and yes, to most people, it is as boring as it sounds. But I've always been plagued with somewhat nerdly tendencies so I love it.
Whawha -- I had to laugh when I read your post. Ya know, in the 8 years I lived in Phoenix, I can count on one hand the number of people I met that were actually born and raised in Arizona.
Plexitoes -- Glad to know there's at least one other republican around here! :) I too am a devote Rush fan -- but Sean Hannity is actually my favorite.
Some of my fav shows: Alias (sniff), Survivor, American Idol, Amazing Race, Lost, Medium, Veronica Mars and Law & Order (all varieties)

Yes! Middlebury is about 1/2 hour east of Mishawaka. Mishawaka is where all the good stores and restaurants are....which is a pain right now with the cost of gas.
Hi guys,
I've enjoyed reading some of your comments when I'm reading some of my fave TVgasm recaps of shows I like, such as, ANTM, Grey's Anatomy & almost all of MTV's silly but addictive shows (RR/RW, Laguna, etc). I was so proud of myself, for finally, at age 32, weaning 'self off of Real World, but thn Laguna & 8th & Ocean sucked me rite back in! For shame!
grew up & still live in NY, well, the outer boros (Qns & Brooklyn, respectively) and i work in textbook publishing (did i just hear some1 out there yawn? yea, well, i don't blame ya!) the upside to ths job is that there is on occasion, a lot of downtime, which affords me all the time in the world 2 read my favorite recaps & posts. I found TVgasm while reading up abt Tom Cruise's couch-jumping debacle of '05, a link on Defamer, i believe. Been grateful ever since.
oh jelliepair, if you're reading ths, i'm happy to hear abt your bearded dragons, my sister in FL has 3 that she luvs, so it's nice 2 see some1 out there w/ these guys! But most of all, i luv that u luv Ina, i luv her 2!! She is my fave, i watch her on Sun. noon.

Yeah, it's actually getting too full over there. Especially along Grape Road (where the mall is). When I was young, Grape Road was the only place that had any stores or restaurants. Now Grape Road is completely full and they've had to build in the surrounding areas. There's actually a pretty good selection of restaurants now -- I'm just hoping and praying that someday soon they'll decide to build a Pei Wei. I never realized I would miss it as much as I do!

My name is Lyndsay, and I live near Boston. I am a transplant from Chicago, though, so I don't have the accent. I am 24 and I work in the greeting card publishing business. It's pretty creative and cool, but I do the boring administrative stuff. Yeah, Tati, publishing does have downtime, doesn't it?
Anyway... I've been reading TVGasm since my temp job days... It's been at least a year. I still don't remember how I found it. Maybe I was searching Google for a recap on American Idol? Anyway, I'm a huge fan of this site.

I've been reading TVgasm since the end of the first season of the OC (yes, this is how I keep track of time :) ) So that's... two years? Favorite shows are: Survivor, The OC, Grey's, 8th & Ocean, Scrubs, and Real World. I'm a huge Cirie fan, and I won't hesitate to fight any and all Terry fans that come my way (my boyfriend can attest to that). Of all those shows, I'd say Survivor is my definite favorite - I've been watching it since 8th grade ;) . Besides TV, I enjoy video games, planning for my apartment in the fall, and eating. Oh, and my favorite guilty pleasure? My Super Sweet 16.

I'll be social now, too. I'm 22, a single mom in Texas, going back to UT in the fall, keeping my brain stimulated by reality tv. 8th and Ocean really makes me ask the important questions. Do I need more hair gel today?
Really I love HBO- Deadwood, Sopranos, Big Love (and honestly even watched Carnivale for a while). I hate that I love MTV- (nothing music oriented, just the vapid reality shows... can't think of anyone I listen to who's made a music video in years). Also love food network, bravo, bill maher, and a little late night history channel.

They flew me to NYC and put me up in a nice hotel-and the hair and makeup people made me look really good too!:D Plus she came to my zoo and scooped poop with me first, and she was a really good sport.
Maybe they can make a Clipgasm of it sometime.
Zoobabe- That is very cool. Queen Latifah rocks. And she even picked up the monkey poop- who woulda thunk?

Hi all...28, female, living in Austin, TX. Writer/editor. The brilliant BB6 recaps hooked me on TVgasm.
Favorite shows are Lost, Grey's Anatomy, The Office (both), BB, The Amazing Race, House Hunters, Seinfeld, The 'Guna, Project Runway, The Sopranos, and The Daily Show.

This is my first post on TVgasm ever, I just signed up to do this. I don't know how or when (I know it has been about a year though) I came across TV gasm, but I am glad that I did. When ever I tell my husband about something funny I read here(which is alot), he just looks at me wierd. Anyways, I am 22yrs. old and live in NC.
Some of my favorite shows are Survivor, Big Brother(I re-read all of BB6 in the archive @work @3am) American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, ER, RR/RW challenges. I used to love Lost, but I started school, and went on Wed. nights, and haven't been able to catch up yet. Just about anything else too. Bye

I guess I should introduce myself too. I'm probably the baby of the group at the tender age of 18. I came upon TVGasm randomly while searching for MTB3. I'm from New Jersey if you can't tell but I attend college in Reading, PA.
My shows:Veronica Mars, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Crossing Jordan, all the L&O's, Gilmore Girls, Top Chef, Numb3rs and a slew of embarassing MTV reality shows.

I don't know Firecat. Ask the powers that be that run this site.:D
It was about 4 or 5 years ago. Probably a good thing that show eventually tanked b/c she went on to have a huge career as a movie actress.

Jumping on the bandwagon.......I am a 34 yr. old single mother of an 11 yr. old boy from Ohio. Yep...more cows and corn than you can imagine. The smell is therapeutic, though.
I think I have hit my two year anniversary with TVgasm while looking for other 24 fanatics.
Shows I won't miss:
24
Prison Break
Amazing Race
Shows I love but am willing to sacrifice:
Survivor (Aras? Are you kidding me?!)
American Idol (with Chris gone, I'm done for this year)
Grey's Anatomy (when I remember to watch it)
Just about anything on the Food Network
BB
That's So Raven (threw that in to see if you were paying attention)

Hey all. I'm a 36 year-old married father of 2 kids, ages 6 and 2. I live in Manhattan, which is probably not as cool as it sounds. I'm an attorney and manager in an insurance company's in-house law firm. I watch way too much TV. Came to the 'Gasm at the tail end of BB6 and have been hooked ever since. Thanks to everyone at this site for making my productivity plummet.
Favorite shows: Big Brother, Survivor, The Shield, Rescue Me, The Apprentice, American Idol, Lost, Sopranos, The Office, Drawn Together, Grey's Anatomy. Guilty pleasure: As much as I resist, I am strangely drawn to "Degrassi, The Next Generation".:o

Female, 25 and I live in NYC.
Love reading tvgasm. Its my favorite distraction at work. Love the clipgasm as well -- always sending them off to people who enjoy it as well.
Fav Shows I can think of right now: CSI, House( got hooked after reading Tvgasm recap), Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck(vote for recap on tvgasm), Justice League (go figure), Law and Order: SVU, OZ (still crying about that one).
For some reason, I get into shows as they get cancelled or they get cancelled after I start watching them.
Shows I "watch" through tvgasm and clipgasm: Desperate Housewives, American Idol
Thanks to my Dish DVR (similar to Tivo) I never watch live tv anymore. Don't have patience for commericals.

hi there.
"k37744" is k-e-r-r-i-i on the phone. the extra "i" is because k-e-r-r-i was taken. really. i know. it's extremely silly, but i needed a login back in my heyday and it stuck.
31 yr-old single momma of one darling squid, age 1 1/2 yrs.
born and raised in cleveland, oh. (we don't use capital letters here)
basically, if it's crap, i'll watch it. that's why my faves are:
american's next top model
the real world
any real world/road rules challenge
laguna beach
8th and ocean
making the band
my super sweet 16
any episode of mtv's 'true life'
there and back: ashley parker angel. (yeah, you heard me. suck it.)
on my loftier days i enjoy me some 'little people, big world,' but they don't replay those with quite the same feriocity as the above shows, so i'll only catch it if i'm not asleep already.
my only gripe is the improper use of 'your' and 'you're.' other than that, consider me a friend.

Hi Everyone,
I am from a small town area in Illinois. It is not exciting here at all. I am 28, female and I am an LPN. I work in a nursing home and unfortunately there aren't any McDreamys anywhere. A lot of McGeezers. I watch American Idol, House, Grey's Anatomy, The Amazing Race, DH (occasionally) and The Real World, but I actually prefer the recaps. I love the recaps and enjoy everyone's comments as well. Whether or not I agree with what people say, I love the wit, snark and total sarcasm that oozes out of every comment. Keep up the work!

Hey--
I'm female, mother of three, born and raised in TX, lived for years in TN, and now exist in PA. I really, really miss the south.
I found TVgasm a few months back via a link in the Lost section of abc.com. Been reading it every day since. It feels good to have a reason to get out of bed again.
Like many other folks on here most of my family and friends do not watch the same shows I watch on tv, and I'll watch just about anything unless it has Bruce Willis or Sharon Stone in it, so it's been nice to find a place I can relate.
Favorite things on TV .... aside from Survivor, Top Chef, Sopranos, ANTM, HGTV, FoodNetwork, etc. ... are all day marathon episodes of anything.
Favorite fictional quote ... "Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman has to hold onto..." Dolores Claiborne (gotta love Kathy Bates!!)

I'm Lisa, 24, living in Brooklyn now after living in upstate and central New York (yes, there's a difference), and I work in TV but I'll keep it vague because I'd probably get in trouble for 'gasm-ing at work.
Can't Misses: Gilmore Girls, American Idol, Scrubs, ANTM, Lost, the OC, Grey's Anatomy
Try-Not-To-Misses: How I Met Your Mother, My Name is Earl, The Office, Survivor
Guilty Pleasures: Anything on MTV -- RW, Sweet 16, Tiara Girls, Gauntlet, etc. And Sex and the City reruns on the WB.
Show That Makes Me Sad I Don't Get Bravo: Project Runway. The recaps helped me deal with my loss though!

Favorite shows currently are - Lost, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, ER, The Apprentice, The Sopranos, Big Love.
Favorite cancelled shows are - Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared and Seinfeld....and of course Saved by The Bell
My Guilty Pleasures are - Real world, Any RW/RR Challenge and Laguna Beach
Shows that I started to watch due to TVGasm Recaps are - Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.

Yo TVgasm forums –
I am a 30something California native who has never worked in the entertainment industry (shock, no?), but did work in major league baseball for a brief time. I left that glamorous world for the non-profit sector, and I currently work in da LBC for a children’s non-profit as a grant writer.
I am a reality tv and Food Network junkie, so TVGasm is the perfect online spot for me. I couldn’t get through a work day without TVgasm and I have been addicted to the site from the minute I saw the BB5 Savage/Josh homoerotic clipgasm.
I’ve gotten my co-worker hooked on TVGasm, and instead of serving the needs of the poor of Long Beach, we endlessly debate the prospects of what B-Side and J-Unit must look like without pixelization. Thanks TVGasm for making slackers out of two professionals!

I love my tivo and don't know how I lived so long without one. I can't stand watching commercials anymore so I record half of the show before I actually start watching it.
I first discovered TVgasm when my bf sent me the link to the Laguna Beach prom pictures (the ones posted prior to the prom episode). Been reading TVgasm ever since and loving every minute of it.
Thanks for all the laughs.

ok totally new to forums, not to TVgasm. I have been here since I started my last job so that's about a year and a half. I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, so fyi, people are actually from there. Just moved to Seattle from Phoenix and I love it here. Just like Grey's Anatomy.
Things I love: DVR, Grey's, LOST, the OC, MTV recaps, DH minus Teri Hatcher, How I Met your Mother, Scrubs, AI, and the train wreck that is ANTM, Related (yup, sure no one else watched that)
Things I hate: actual MTV Shows, Teri Hatcher, people looking over my cubicle walls and seeing I'm not actually working.
And how do I get a little picture next to my name?
oh and the facts, I'm a 24 year old gal in Seattle. Ciao!

OK, at some point one must stop being a lurker and join in. So here I am! I think the people who post to tvgasm are some of the smartest, most articulate I've run across. And I have very snooty standards for such things.
I'm older than Jellipair (but not by damn much, girl) and I'm also a Jennifer/Jenny. My teenage son got me hooked on the Gasm during Laguna Beach. Oh dear god, what a guilty pleasure that is. I do not have high hopes for the third season. However, 8th & Ocean is OK and I'll give The Hills (LC's show) a shot, if only to mock Jason (LOSER).
I'm a writer who also winces at our illustrious administrators' occasional grammatical transgressions (all is forgiven Ed Hill). I think I'm in love with B-Side, but want to know the specific location of the bar in Cambridge that has been referenced as the source of his screen name. Too bad - I'm quite sure you are much too young for me, sweetheart, although I could teach you a thing or too. Lizardqueen - you are my heroine for consistently top notch snark and worthy shout-outs to CT.
I won't miss the Amazing Race (but they almost lost me with the crap family edition), Gilmore Girls, Food Network (helloooooo Alton!), reruns of Friends (better than Ambien to put you to sleep, folks) and way too many makeover shows. Including car makeovers - I love Overhaulin' (please come re-do my POS, pretty please). Extreme Makeover Home Edition is my double secret probation watch-only-by-myself-and-never-admit-it addiction. But I start the evening with This Old House (which redeems me, right? PBS, right? Norm and Tommy, right?)
My screen name is a silent prayer to save Katie Holmes, but is also the name of my cat.
Looking forward to hearing more about you guys.

Whawha, well there are many things not to like about Phoenix. Suburbia is not for me so I headed out to Seattle. and it's sunny here. It's supposed to be sunny all week. And they have lakes and oceans up here, all novel concepts to an AZ native. Not everyone drives SUVs out here either. They have Subarus.

Ok, so I do things backwards. I've already posted on the forums but just getting around to introducing myself. I'm 35, female, live in Wisconsin, recently single due to my fiance dumping me not too long ago. Which reminds me, I need to send him a thank you card...yep, first time single in almost a decade & loving it! No kids but cats & dogs. I work in an office but am applying for jobs in what I have an education in, which is in an area of criminal justice. Either that or now that I'm footloose & fancy-free (which means I have a lot of time on my hands-he was a very needy guy) I would like to use it to perhaps do some writing, true crime style.
Shows I LOVE:
The Amazing Race (want to apply!)
Sons & Daughters
Scrubs
The Office
Grey's
ER
Top Chef
The First 48
American Justice
Just about anything on A&E, TLC, and chick 1/2-hour comedy reruns on WE. What can I say, a lady has to unwind after seeing a burned-up corpse on the side of the highway. (First 48-best reality cop show EVER!)
BTW-I'm kind of computer-challenged. How do I attach an avatar-thingy on my profile?:o

Hi ya'll. I'm 24 yr old female living in Boston. I spent the last 5 years in Pittsburgh (STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and was born and raise in south central Pennsylvania close to the Mason-Dixon line. I only moved to Boston a month and a half ago and am having a terrible time finding a job. My lovely transcript from the University of Pittsburgh says that I'm a Bachelor of Arts in English-Writing-Journalism and Anthropology-Physical Anthropology (I kid you not the hypens are really on my transcript). However that pretty much qualifies me for temp work. Currently I'm temping a cable company ( it starts with a C and ends with omcast) which is perfectly fine because I'm surrounded by TVs. I do about 2 hours worth of work spread out over a 9 and a half hour day, so you'll probably see lots of posts by me (the company has blocked out any website that contains games and internet chat so no addictivegames.com and no IM or myspace). But if I stay on with the company I will get free cable and internet which would be lovely. I first found TVgasm with AR 6 and now am hooked. I watch (or watched) GA, AR, Sopranos, Big Love, Family Guy, DH, West Wing (sigh), Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Oblongs, Muder She Wrote, Matlock and when I can suppress four years of schooling the CSIs and Bones. I also spent the first few weeks of my life in Boston trying to celebrate as much of the HBO/Encore/Free Movie on demand catalog as possible. Well works calls!

Hello! I have been a long time lurker and I am a first time poster today. I am a 36 year old married housewife with 4 kids ranging from 14-20 between me and my husband who is 40. We live in a small suburb of Seattle and our friends consider it the country because you have to drive past farms, horses , and cows to get here lol. I first discovered this site when I was reading a tv show article on MSN and they linked this site and a couple others as good places to visit for TV recaps about 8 months ago. Since that day this site has been a daily staple for me to read recaps of my favorite shows that I watch and some recaps of shows I don't watch. My husband brought this new thing I had never heard of called a Tivo home about 4 years ago and I have been hooked to reality tv more than ever now. We have since upgraded to the cable companies dvr that will record 2 things at a time.
Favorite reality shows I watch: Big Brother (can't wait to watch and read here at the same time as it seems to be a big favorite of so many folks here I started reading at the very end of the season last time), Apprentice, Amazing Race, Survivor, Prjoect Runway (thanks to this site I tried season 2 after reading the recap and became quickly addicted), Top Chef (thanks to my Project Runway addiction lol), and American Idol until last week and Chris got voted off. He was my favorite and I have sworn to never watch again! I was proud of myself for actually not recording it or watching last night. Big Brother and Survivor are family staples we will all watch together. Non-reality favorite shows are My Name is Earl, The Office, Smallville, 24, Desprate Housewives, Lost, and Big Love is a recent addition.
My favorite recaps here are the Lost recaps by Ed Hill. I think he has a great sense of humor and I enjoy the links he has in his recaps. I also enjoy the discussions as well.

My name is Michelle. I'm 27, married and I live in Tampa, FL. It's always hot and there are a lot of old people and tourists. My friend told me about tvgasm b/c of the AI recaps. I am hooked now! I can find out what happened without actually wasting any of my time AND the recaps come stocked with the same witty insensitive comments that I would make myself!
My Shows: American Idol, House, Bones, the O.C.(I don't watch it, but I don't have to now, do I?), Real World, Law & Order, and I'm sooo excited about So You Think You Can Dance! Did you see the commercial where the dude tries to flip and slams his face into the ground? Priceless.

OK OK... I can lurk no longer!! I truly am a newbie. I'm a 34 year old female who lives waaaaaaaaay up north in California. I only recently found TVgasm, about halfway thru this season of TAR & Survivor. I was so impressed, I went back & read all of TAR's Family Edition (ICK- never again CBS!!) recaps. Oh those Weavers!! I had tears coming out of my eyes for hours after reading all the love & snark bestowed on them!! Good times, good times...
Luckily, I'm now a stay at home Mom, and can read the 'Gasm at my leisure, (well, sorta - I have a 20 month old) cause I would've probably killed somebody at work, what with all the putting callers on hold so I could finish laughing & try to catch my breath while reading the recaps!!
Much love to B-Side for his fab recaps and hilarious screenshots & captions. LOVED all the Shane ones, not to mention the trip you & J-Unit took to the Blackberry factory??
Oh, and I have to know, J-Unit - what's with the DDP avatar?? Do you have the same addiction I do?? I seriously drink around a 6-pack a day (give or take).
Oh, and LizardQueen - you are my hero poster - you are smart, witty, sarcastic & full of snark!! I wished I lived near CT so I could attend happy hour :( I want to be you when I grow up!!
Now if only someone would step up & give DH the love it deserves!!
Oh, and Jelliepair, I too am married to a cop & love EHM - I watch and blame it on my 13 year old step-daughter!!

I'm Rachelle. I'm 31 and a SAHM of two girls. I'm also in school working on an Accounting degree. I'm a major tv addict and tvgasm has added to the addiction.
I discovered tvgasm last summer during BB. I enjoyed it right away and loved the fact that someone was writing down exactly what I was thinking. I enjoy reading the recaps so much that I now watch shows that I didn't watch before just cause the recaps are so funny.
My shows, oh so many, DH, Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break, Apprentice, all CSI's, TAR, Scrubs, Law and Order SVU, AI, Lost, Invasion, Survivor, Without a Trace, The Office, ER, BB, Big Love, Sopranos.
Because I've got the girls and we are pretty busy, I tape all of these shows and watch them late at night after they are asleep. My poor vcr is barely hanging on. My husband is the opposite of me, he hates tv and won't enable me by agreeing to TIVO.

Hi. I'm Lizardqueen. I won't watch much TV now that TAR and Survivor are over. I enjoy hiking, birding, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, beachcombing, and swimming in the ocean. I spend way too much time here. I like green bananas. I hate wet socks.

I hate wet socks.
I say that there's nothing sadder in the world then wet socks. While sneakers weren't necessarily made to get wet, if you happen to be walking through the rain or whatever, they tend to dry off in due time. But socks stay wet long after the sneaker has dried. Ew.

Hi, I'm Dorothy Zbornak.
I am a 27 year-old (28 on Tuesday!) classical musician, originally from upstate NY, but now residing in Hollywood, CA.
I love Lost and the Sopranos. I will watch anything on the Food Network, but absolutely adore Alton Brown and anything Iron Chef. I am also obsessed with Anthony Bourdain and Rachel Ray, but think that they are such polar opposites, that if they were ever in the same room together, the universe would explode.
Favorite shows from the past: Three's Company, Arrested Development, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Golden Girls (of course).

I'm a married, forty something (yes old enough to remember a time before microwaves and cell phones and typed my college papers on an IBM selectric). Born in beautiful downtown Burbank, still work there, and live in the San Fernando Valley. No kids, just pets.
I love pretty much any medical show just so I can say, "That would never happen in a hospital."

hello all,
from cleveland, but have also lived in tucson (UA), atlanta (cnn), chicago, and currently ft. lauderdale. i am a freelance televison and film editor. i first stumbled on tvG during the heyday that was seasoon 1 of laguna beach. needless to say, i was hooked.
too lazy to rewite my hobbies etc, so if ya really wanna know, check me at mspace.com/dzol. besides tvgasm, myspace could be the funniest thing going.... more weird people in one place than you'll ever find anywhere else. sure, sometimes scary people, but mostly harmlessly weird.
i love nothing more than to spread the tvgasm gospel. i wish you guys had a friend referral program, with the winner getting season 1 'guna on DVD. that'd be mine.
by the way, look for our 3 Lifetime movies airing this summer, called island heat. we had erica durance (smallville) star in the first called "stranded", (which airs july 5 for you nielsen homes out there). a.j. cook stars in the second, and we got kelly carlson (nip/tuck) for the third. i edited them, and they are like nothing you ever seen on Lifetime... thank god.
sorry for the plug.... love the forums.

My name is Marissa. I'm 26 and single. No kids, no pets. I live in Phoenix, AZ and work in Scottsdale in the mortgage business, which is about as exciting as it sounds. I was born and raised in Spokane, WA, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Despite the heat, I LOVE AZ, and I would never dream of moving back to WA.
FYI - Whawha is right, there are very few people in AZ that were actually born here. I know of exactly one person in my company that was born and raised here. I'm not sure why that is.
Anyway, my favorite shows are Veronica Mars, Law & Order, Big Love, CSI, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, most of the dumb MTV reality shows, ANTM, and probably about a dozen more that I'm forgetting. Needless to say, I'm a bit of a tv addict.
I first found TvGasm when I was googling Beauty and the Geek (I know, I'm not proud of it) and I came across a recap by copygodd. That recap was one of the funniest things I had ever read, and I've been hooked ever since. I've now grown to love not only copygodd, but J-Unit, B-Side, EdHill and the rest of the gang. Thank you guys for keeping me so entertained every day.

I haven't done this yet so I thought I would. I live in NYC going on 12 years now. I work for an Ad agency and have a great boss. She doesn't care that I read TVgasm as long as I get my shit done (or her shit that is). I was born in FL, went to undergraduate school at Troy state in Alabama and did my Grad work at University of Tennessee. I am addicted to tv, period. Good tv, bad tv I love it all. My friend turned me on to TVgasm during BB6 and I have been hooked ever since.

Hi,
I'm a single CPA who might just be the oldest yet to sign in (46 or so  ). Perhaps we elderly just can't figure out this newfangled blogs and forums thing.
I've lived in New England all my life, mostly in teeny tiny Rhode Island (home of Richard Hatch - when he's not in jail!).
I've been reading TVgasm since last summer when a friend referred me. It is the best thing to happen to TV since foil on the antenna!
I watch as many of the police/evidence shows as I can - I just love them! I also like (or liked) Arrested Development, West Wing, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, House and I LOVE 24! The hoodie of infiltration and Jack's other accessories-with-names are the best!
My 'job' over the next three months is to do research and upgrade from a VCR to either TIVO or the DVR that my cable company offers. I need to be able to record more than one show at a time. That and the stack of VCR tapes piled on my TV after tax season could have caused serious injury.

by "we" do you mean you and your boss? that kind of loyalty is unheard of in this biz.
i work at a piddly little agency in colorado springs that nobody's ever heard of. used to work at a couple of really big ones when i lived in ohio, but the wife and i always wanted to live in the mountains, so this place was a nice compromise.

not unless you lived in columbus, ohio or colorado springs. at least in columbus i had some cash to play with. the last campaign i worked on before moving west, we had a little over $750k for three spots. the last spot i did here a couple months back we had a little under $50k. but i can see pikes peak from my desk!

Hi I'm a 25yr old female born and raised in Alaska. :o I've been reading TVGasm since last summer thanks to Laguna Beach for sending me here! I'm addicted to the recaps. I love CSI, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Laguna Beach, Real World, The RR/RW Challenges/Guantlets/Infernos, Las Vegas, The Sureal Life, became addicted to 8th & Ocean after reading the recaps on it, and so many other shows out there I can't think of them all.

I have a cousin who lives in Homer. She's your age AND she kicks ass, of all things. I'm dying to get up there. A bunch of my relatives spent 2 weeks last summer. Six people who have travelled all over the world and can't stop talking about Alaska. My 89 year old grandpa came home and put this bumper sticker on his car "Homer, Alaska - A quaint drinking village with a fishing problem". Sounds right up my alley.

Hey y'all!
Let's see... I am approaching 40, born and raised in Houston but now living in NC. I first found TVgasm right after the Tom Cruise couch-jumping fiasco. I was searching for some video and found a bizarre collage that one of the brilliant TVgasmers (B-side?) put together. hiLARious! I started poking around and found recaps of shows I had never watched, but found the posts also hilarious.
My fave shows are mostly sci-fi (BSG, SG-1, Dead Zone, 4400), but sometimes I'll catch RW (why?!?!), 8th & Ocean, ANTM. For some reason, I also got into Breaking Bonaduce and Flavor of Love. I recently started watching Big Love, but haven't really decided if I like it yet or not.
I love reading recaps of the shows I don't watch... I check the site often during work to break up the monotony. I also tend to laugh out loud while doing so. I love TVgasm! yay!

Lizardqueen -
It's hard to remember how beautiful and nice Alaska is during the winter. But come this time of year I look around and remember why I live here!
Sadly I haven't been to Homer yet. I'm planning a trip down to Soldotna this summer and Homer isn't too much further south so perhaps I'll go there too. My boyfriend loves to fish so I'm sure he wouldn't protest the extra stop!

Hi everyone!
I got tired of all the rules & regs at the forum site I was posting at...and also how they applied to some people & not to their favored others! Not that I'm bitter or anything, you understand
So I 'googled' chat sites, found you, and here I am!
Anyway, this seems like a lively place! I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you in the forums!
I'm on the other side of 40, married w/ two children, we live on the Northeast coast of MA, USA (where I've lived my whole life). I'm a working lady, at a Fortune 500 company (and that's all I'll share about THAT ;) ).
I love TV.
I love reality TV (Survivor, The Amazing Race, Top Chef...)
I love bad sitcoms (WKRP in Cincinnati, News Radio, etc)
I have a slightly twisted sense of humor, and am apparently unable to resist creepy/wierd/strange stories/footage/photos. My husband shakes his head as he's walking out of the room, when I'm watching shows like "101 Things Removed from the Human Body"...or "The Woman with the 200 Pound Tumor".
I love to laugh & be laughed at/with. To find humor in the everyday things. To be sarcastic.

ObstinantGirl-how happy am I that a woman who works for a Fortune 500 company admits love for shows like WKRP and the 200-lb. tumor program? This is the only place I don't have to be embarassed to admit that I also have a love affair with the tube. Hey, I also enjoy reading and outdoor activities, but to me there's nothing better than settling in to watch reruns of Roseanne or The Cosby Show at the end of the night-or along the lines of the 200-lb tumor, I also love the shows like The Half-Ton Man and The 600-lb. Woman.

Oh, you betcha! It's pure escapism, isn't it? For me it is, anyway.
Occasionally, a good History Channel show is intriguing...but for the most part, I want "Top Chef", "Survivor", an old "Law & Order: SVU" rerun, or I'll pick up a Maeve Binchy or Rosamunde Pilcher novel. Good stuff!
"American Idol" this season really drew me in. Normally, I've only stayed around at the beginning for the tryouts, because that's COMEDY GOLD, people!!! But this season there were some very intriguing and tremendously talented people who weren't typical AI Cookie Cutter. Mandisa, Taylor, Paris, and even Chris...loved them all. Oh, and Elliott grew on me as well. I actually voted on Tuesday night (for Taylor, of course!), which I have NEVER done before.
With the gorgeous weather we've had the last couple of days, though, I'm looking forward to getting out-of-doors and doing a bit of hiking with the hubby/dog/kids this coming long weekend! Praying for the good weather to stick around a bit :)

Well, I found TVGasm through another site I go to because I had missed I think either BB or Amazing Race and someone told me about the recaps here and I haven't stopped coming back. It is nice to find a place that makes you get exercise because you have to run upstairs as quick as possible because the bathroom is up there and you've just laughed too hard...
Anyhoo, I'm 39 (for at least 2 more months...), married, have two children, 10 and 7. We live in Central VA. I love TV especially some shows that I refuse to miss. They are
CSI (Vegas only--David Caruso gives me the creeps and NY comes on too late),
Lost (LOVE this show--it drives me totally nuts that I have no idea what is going on half of the time)
Reality Shows (mainly TAR and Survivor and BB)
How I Met Your Mother--I love this show too. It is always guaranteed to give me belly laughs and I don't miss it because of that.
Sunday nights--America's Funniest Home Videos (my dd loves this one), EHM-Home Edition (ditto) and DH and Grey's. (I love those)
I was a fan of NCIS but I don't care for Lauren Holly OR Mark Harmon making out with her. (need a Mr. Yuk face here)
Shows I miss are: Seinfeld, Melrose Place (although it was getting really bad towards the end), Pee-Wee's Playhouse and The X-Files (but just the first few seasons--the later seasons were lame)

I'm a 41 year old male. I am an acknowledged pseudo intellectual know it all, very opinionated and modest.
Been reading TVgasm since BB6. I have LOL'd many times but have never sprayed a beverage from my nose (nor any other orifice) and ruined a monitor and/or keyboard.
Off the top of my head...Shows I don't miss an episode of...
The Office (Best comedy on TV)
Lost (best Show on TV)
Deadwood (can't wait)
Sopranos (waiting once again and am getting pretty sick of waiting on this show)
Rescue me (love it big time)
BIG BROTHER (Woo hoo can't wait)
TAR (Awesome show)
Survivor ( needs an upgrade to spice it up but still good)
Battlestar galactica ( Im' hooked)
How I met your mother ( pretty funny thanks to Doogie Howser)
shows I like but if I miss an episode... ehhh, no biggie (but I never do miss an episode because I have a dual tuner DVR and an HTCP DVR and get network feeds from the east and west coast)
Two and a half men
House
The Unit
Numbers
ER
24 ( I really don't want to watch this show anymore. It's really just too absurd. But I'll read the recaps)
I'm sure there is more but I'm already bored with myself, so I'm done for now.
PS. Thank god "Still standing" and "yes dear" are gone. However, Everwood will be missed.

I'm a long time lurker on here so I finally decided to register and say hey to y'all. I am 25, female and currently a law school student where I totally don't fit in and have to keep my little tv obsession under wraps (sadly). Nevertheless, I am enjoying it so far.
I have gone to schools in NYC and currently am in Boston. I have a cat named after a Korean pop star who enjoys krispy kremes, pizza grease and butter.
My favorite reality shows are: Kathy Griffin: My life on the D-list, Top Model, Laguna Beach (only enhanced by tvgasm's recaps), AI, Top Chef, Flavor of Love, Little People , Big World (or vice versa?) is my newest guilty pleasure.. ok which reality shows won't I watch?
Other shows I enjoy are Grey's Anatomy, old AbFab reruns, Will and Grace reruns at midnight and the old school favorite Swan's Crossing (lol)

I've resisted responding to this thread - somehow it seems that introducing myself here is the Step 1 in TVholics Anonymous.
Hi my name is pekmboyd, and I'm a TVholic. (Admitting a problem is the first step)
So I grew up mostly Alaska, some in Hawaii, went to college in Tennessee, back to Hawaii for a couple years to discover the horror that is high-school teaching, got married to a Marine, government sent us to South Carolina. I'm 25 and expecting my first child in less than 3 months (yikes!). My husband is a World of Warcraft-aholic, so we're even.
My TV preferences:
Never miss it:
Grey's Anatomy
Lost
Gilmore Girls
Survivor
Big Brother
Try not to miss it:
The Amazing Race
American Idol performance night
Deadliest Catch (I've met some of those guys - not that they would remember)
My Name Is Earl (best comedy on TV)
Project Runway (I can't remember if this is how I found TVGasm or if TVGasm is how I found Project Runway...either way I'm happy)
Watch if Tivo remembers to grab it:
Desperate Housewives (I've found that if you watch every 3rd episode, the show's not bad)
The Apprentice
Numb3rs (I was a math major, I used to love this show but for some reason it doesn't hold my interest...I don't watch CSI/Law&Order stuff either)
The Real World / Road Rules / Challenge franchises
Speed through with Tivo to get the main idea:
American Idol results night
Oprah (I think she's arrogant and over-rated, but that's why I watch - until she denounces Scientology instead of calling John Travolta her best friend, I'll always be suspicious)
I also watch ER and West Wing reruns on Bravo, because I was never quite interested enough to remember the timeslots in pre-Tivo days.

I'm a 26 yr. old single mother of 2 girls. I live in Texas. I work in a sign/embroidery shop....fascinating I know! :p
My guilty pleasure include but certainly aren't limited to:
Grey's Anatomy -I harbor a serious obsession for this show, it's very sad.
CSI LV
Any RW/RR challenge
Any RW for that matter
What About Brian -All 3.4 shows they actually aired
That Ghost Hunters show on Sci-Fi
I also have a deep attachment to Adult Swim. Except for anime...it's not for me.

Okay my turn. I'm 32, married and have 2 kids (15 months apart = no sleep for me) and I live in SD, CA. I caught on to this site during BB6 and I am on it all the time now. I have to DVR everything and watch it late at night when the kids are sleeping. :)
Shows I watch; sit back this could take a while.
24, Prison Break, House, NCIS (can't stand Lauren Holly but I love DeNozo and Ziva; so upset when they killed of Kate). LOST, How I met your Mother (Doogie rocks). Golden Girls (I seriously have seen every single episode thanks to Lifetime. This is by no means an exageration, every - single - one. I AM DOROTHY.) Everyday Italian, 30 Minute Meals; American Hot Rod, Myth Busters, Big Love.
Shows I'm embarrassed to admit I watch:
George Lopez, Freddie Prinze Jr., Ghost Whisperer, Charmed (missed the last year cause it was boring).
I love movies, old black and white movies, new movies, comedies, drama, mystery, everything. Is anyone out there wondering if my kids are being neglected yet?? I feed them, I swear I do, usually in between commercials.

I've been posting for a little while, and just found this forum. I am a huge fan of TVgasm, and spend waaaayyyy too much time at work reading recaps!
I'm just about 40, married and work as a marketing executive. I am addicted to true crime books (especially Ann Rule), bad TV, cigarettes, Cosmopolitans and Vanity Fair magazine.
I love the TVgasm blogs because the recaps and comments are so witty and intelligent; I also love the fact that even though I am 40 and addicted to the Real World - I'm not the only one! My husband thinks I'm retahded - now I have some ammo!
I am a HUGE fan of RW, RW/RR Challenges, Laguna Beach, The Apprentice, Huff, Big Love, Weeds, Nip/Tuck and I really hate to admit this, but... My Super Sweet Sixteen. MSSS is, without a doubt, the most repulsive show on television, but for some reason I guess I must really enjoy being annoyed and disgusted - because that show is incredibly annoying and disgusting.
I love any movies featuring Ben Stiller and/or Owen Wilson.
I am also a Republican, but I am Pro-Choice and Anti-Death Penalty. I loathe the religious right, and believe cultural prejudice of any kind is ignorant and unacceptable.
I am probably quitting my job, and going back to school to study Psychology in the fall - so hopefully that will leave me more time to peruse TVgasm!

The lack of Virginia people here is appalling.
I'm a 22-year-old student at James Madison University, who spends more time working at Starbucks than on any fancy book learning. I'm one of those indecisive people who doesn't know what they're going to do with life. I've changed majors five times; I have my real estate license, though I've never tried to garner a job from a broker; and I'm a licensed vet assistant, which I do nothing with. Awesome!
I’m relatively knew to TVgasm; I started coming because I work mostly closing shifts and miss my favorite shows. It’s an excellent place to catch up on the shows I want, and read amusing recaps on the ones I don’t. This year, I watched the last episodes of Survivor and found that I really hated Terry. After weeks of careful consideration, I’m fairly certain I would have disliked Terry, but perhaps not to the ultra extreme had it not been for B-Sides animosity. It’s taught me to acquire opinions before reading recaps.
The TV shows I can’t live without: Prison Break, My Name is Earl, The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Bones, Big Brother.
Shows I’ll watch if they’re on, but not scurry after: Gilmore Girls (this season sucked), Survivor, Amazing Race, Real World/challenges, 8th and Ocean, Lost,Top Model, any documentaries on TLC or Discovery.
That which I just can’t abide: Desperate Housewives and 24!

OK, I've been reading recaps since BB6 but just started posting on the forums. I'm 32, married w/2 kids, a princess and the master of disaster. We live in Florida right now but will be moving to Arkansas next year (I grew up there), too many hurricanes the last 2 years. I work at home as a medical transcriptionist, and since I have to be online to work, I often find myself checking TVgasm when I should be typing. Since I work evening hours for the most part, I have to read the recaps for some shows.
Can't miss shows for me are Survivor, BB, Amazing Race, House, My Name Is Earl, and Doctor Who on SciFi. I've just caught up on DVD with The 4400, so add that one in this summer along with Hell's Kitchen. Top Chef was great, and I can't wait for Project Runway to start. And my guilty pleasure was Charmed :o

I loathe the religious right, and believe cultural prejudice of any kind is ignorant and unacceptable.
Hee! I found this sentence sort of funny...so, you're intolerant of intolerance? And you are close-minded to people who are close-minded? ;)
I'm actually going to do my best to avoid any political discussion here on-board, because I don't fit into any set descriptions or alliances, and I don't like resorting to 'groupings' (such as describing myself as "Left Wing" or "Right Wing" or "Religious Right") because I think that oftentimes then the listener immediately pigeon-holes you into a whole set of categories which may/may not apply and be true. I tend to vote one political party, but I'm not firmly adhered to it or bonded at the hip! I'm more of an issues-voter.
Anyway:
Seriously, it's so fascinating to read these blurbs about all of you! Very fun, and very interesting. We represent quite a diverse group, don't we? And yet we have a common, binding thread...our TV ADDICTION!!! Oh, and our intellectual prowess...yeah, that too! And wit! And humility! :p

I know you'd think McGee wouldn't get much but they kind of put it in there that he does. I saw a girl in his t-shirt at his home and another time Abby found another girls toothbrush there. Looks like McGee may be more of a man-ho than DiNozzo!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking about. They showed some girl in his t-shirt looking very "I just got some McGee lovin'" and then never mentioned her again that episode. He's definitely getting some play.

Now as for live action tv shows well, I loooooove anything by Joss whedon (still pissed about Firefly). My shows are : Lost, Prison Break, Project Runway, RW/RR challenges, CSI, The 4400, Veronica Mars, Smallville, and too many to think of right now (I told you guys, NO LIFE). Hello all...I am Amy. I just wanted to say hey-ya to everyone. I don't know that anything I could say would be very interesting. I live a refreshingly un-exciting life with my hubby and our two kids, who are fabulous, of course. I love lots of television, and amaze my husband with my addiction to certain reality shows. I love Amazing Race, Top Chef, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, and the Apprentice. I really don't much care for Survivor or American Idol, which I know is practically blasphemy in the reality tv circuit. I watch Big Brother sometimes, but last years was pretty much impossible for me to stand and I lost interest pretty soon into it. My favorite year was the one with Amy and Marcellus. I also still watch the Bachelor in the hopes that ONE of these relationships takes root. (I am SO pulling for Byron and Mary to make it official and become a dazzling success!)
Thanks for listening!!
Amy :D

I think one couple did last, it was Trista and Ryan. I saw the wedding special for their wedding.T was a contestant on the first dancing with the stars( I think). Ok, I just checked the tvgasm archives and yea she was on it.

Since I'm new here might as well start off by introducing myself. My name is Jen, I'm 23. And it's okay Vanessa I still live at home with my mommy too. I live in Saipan, just north of Guam, and right now I'm going to college and working for a law office part-time. Since we live on the wrong side of the world, all of our t.v. is a week late so I rely on TVGasm to stay up to date:D . My favorite show of all time with Third Watch, but since that ended I like watching the crime dramas like CSI.

Same here, only I was 23! I'm now considerably older than that  and still very happily married (17 years this month).
I love lots of television, and amaze my husband with my addiction to certain reality shows.Same here! Last night I was watching TV...my husband walked into the room, looked at me...looked at the TV (where I was watching The Half Ton Man)...looked back at me and said "Well, we COULD talk to each other!" I looked at him and said "WHAT??? Are you KIDDING??? Just LOOK at this show!" Of course, we were both joking & laughing about it...if he'd been serious I'd have shut the TV off in a heartbeat. But truth be told, he actually IS more of a conversationalist than I am at times. At the end of the day, all I want is to be alone with my TV shows! It's my time to shut down and relax. No Serious Conversation Wanted!

AMEN!!! Constant battle when I get home from work: TV is on some History Channel warship documentary - I want to change it and watch Gilmore Girls reruns or the previous night's RW/RR challenge. He wants to watch interesting stuff because he works outside all day (Marines), I refuse to watch anything that makes me think or is too serious....my brain is TIRED, I don't want to LEARN!!!

I've never actually officially introduced myself, but by now I've sure spilled most of the beans on other threads.
Let's see, I'm single, never married, no kids. Live in Orlando (but ya know that), live on a lake that has a 10 foot gator in it, needless to say I don't ever step outside without looking out first. I love all things space related and even bought a house facing East so that I have prime Shuttle/Rocket launch views. I also get out to the theme parks as much as possible, been zillions of times but still get goosebumps every time I board the monorail.
I love all things reality - and a lot of scripted shows too. I'm an all around TVWhore. It's an addiction and I am not ashamed to say that (at least not in front of you buncha addicts). My best friend is my DVR and if anyone ever tries to separate me from my DVR remote there will be blood shed.
I'd name the shows I watch - but really there are too many to mention. I'll just name the ones I have to watch live vs those I can tape and wait til later.
- Gilmore Girls
- Survivo
- Amazing Race
- Lost
- Grey's Anatomy
- Project Runway (tho I do usually rewatch each rerun of it)

I'm 28 and married with a son. I was born in Lafayette, IN, raised in Houston, TX, live in Fullerton, CA, and am moving to Atlanta, GA. My husband and I hang out watching TV. That's our hobby, since we don't have a regular babysitter.
I got into Tvgasm from a link on goldenfiddle.com. The first season of LOST was just driving me crazy. I would stay up for hours after watching an episode just complaining about LOST's little quirks; the montages at the end of each show, the lack of good dialogue between characters, the stupid formula that the show follows with the flashbacks, and plot threads that weren't getting wrapped up fast enough. A lot of the stuff that I was finding on other forums was just lame, goofy stuff with smiley faces about how cute that Claire and Charlie were going to get together or whatever. And TVgasm changed all that.
I'm a big fan of Joss Whedon and the Buffyverse. And I like a lot of cancelled shows (Arrested Development, Firefly, Wonderfalls, Kitchen Confidential...), older shows (Sledge Hammer, Misfits of Science, the Monkees, The Young Ones, V, My So-Called Life, Soap), animated stuff, (Hey Arnold, Robot Chicken, Home Movies, Power Puff Girls and old Saturday morning cartoons and other cartoons from the 80's). We TiVo a lot of shows and my current favorites are Battlestar Galatica, Veronica Mars, The Office, Everybody Hates Chris, LOST, How I Met Your Mother, and My Name Is Earl. I do watch reality shows on MTV just because of the recaps on Tvgasm. I'm also addicted to the Food Network. Giada is one of my heroes.
My hopes for the future are that LOST will become a tighter show in the next season and the characters will be less passive and have better dialogue. And that Joss Whedon will create a new show for us.
The end.

let's see... how to describe myself.
early thirties, male, single, clinical child psychologist who tries to save the world one kid at a time. work at a non-profit community mental health center in the LBC (yeah, the 562!), but live in redondo. discovered the 'gasm through a former colleague (shout out to redhead!). what initially was a passing diversion has become a full-fledged addiction for which no 12 step program yet exists.
other interests? former professional chef who left the biz after being told to "shut it down!" once too many times (and yeah, i, too, went to the cornell hotel school, like stephen from 'top chef' and matt von ertfelda from survivor-- don't judge my by them.) why did i really leave? i think that winona ryder said it best in 'reality bites' when her mom asked her why she didn't work at a fast food restaurant. her answer, "because i'm not retarded." 'nuf said.
i lived in japan for some time, and have a strange weakness for all things japanese (it's my kryptonite). worked at the UN during grad school, which gave me lots of chances to travel the world...
tv? loved me some buffy-- there will never be a better band of misfits united by a common goal. currently enjoy anything food related (as most of the time they're talking out of their collective asses); big brother (went to last season's finals with an 'everybody hates a spicy latina' sign); american idol (still mourning the elimination of nadia turner); the 4400; hell's kitchen... i also enjoy really cheesy reruns of 'sumerland' because was that show seriously on the air for 6 seasons?
yeah, that's about it. i've probably already said too much...

ness- japan was awesome. i just really dig the lifestyle and cultural component of respect (which is sorely missing in this country most of the time). you should definitely check it out. (and i agree with your thoughts on the 4400-- perhaps she was being controlled as a baby, but now that she's an adult, she's on her own? whatever the case, it makes no sense and just serves to bug me!)
and bajagal-- redondo is a great place to live. i pretty much divide my time between the beach and "the taco shack" (a.k.a. el burrito jr.)! thanks for the shout out.

Hello! I am 34, single, childless (none that I know of ~ heh! :p ) Pop Culture whore living in the Cultural Mecca of Cleveland, Ohio. I have lived all over the place: Tucson, Boston, NYC, DC, Mexico, and now Cleveland. Whee!!! I found TVGasm when I was looking for snarkier posts about TAR6 and Survivor. B-side, J-Unit, et al, then sucked me in with their BB6 fervor and I have been a staunch devotee ever since. I am so loyal to the 'Gasm that I have watched shows after reading the HEE-larious recaps to see what I missed. The Ashley Parker Angel show, as an example.
Sometimes, having no life is a good thing.
I would LOVE to be on The Amazing Race but know no one in my personal circle (rapidly diminishing due to my TV addiction) that I would want to run with in real life.
I am really looking forward to the BB: All Stars, because last summer was such a hoot! With my virtual friends here at TVGasm, I betcha it will be one spicy summer full of Chenaningans!
After lurking for nearly two years (a friend turned me on to the site), I've been sucked in. Too much time on my hands at work? Absolutely. Looking for more to do at work? Absolutely not!
I'm in my late (very late) 30's, with wifey and two extremely active boys (8 and 5). I live in No. California and work in Direct Marketing at a winery in Sonoma County.
I'm pretty active (soccer teams - two indoor and one outdoor - and a softball team), so nights are tough. And weekend days and nights are for beer, cocktails and barbecues. Tivo is the best invention ever!
Must watch: TAR, Lost, Survivor, The Office, Scrubs, Prison Break
Also watch, when time allows: Apprentice, My Name is Earl, Desperate Housewives (I may quit entirely next season), CSI (the original), sports (football, futbol, baseball, hockey, basketball, in that order)
Resisting: Big Brother (caught the first two seasons, but summer is just impossible), anything on MTV (that's what the excellent recaps are for)
I got sucked into the forums because of the World Cup chatter. And because I've spent the last three days at work shirking responsibility.

No fun making here, but seriously, for your health, I strongly suggest you work on finding something else. I worked at McDonald's for 2 years (age 14-16) and developed a very gross bronchial cough as a result of breathing grease molecules for that long. You know that smell that doesn't come out of your clothes? It's coating your lungs every day that you work there...find a Subway or something that doesn't involve oil vats.

Well, hey.
I am 30, very single and childless, and I live in Los Angeles. I was born in IL, grew up in NY State and lived in CO for 8 years (where I graduated from CSU with a Liberal Arts major, Media Studies minor). I've lived around here for 3 years. I work for a big ole Internet company, where I "faux" edit search listings and do some work with our legal dept. (Sounds more thrilling than it is). Besides TV, I'm into music and Disneyland.
I've been reading TVGasm forever, it seems. I've only commented a few times, which is odd for me! (Can you tell?) I'm not sure why I didn't bother with the forums until now, either. Hopefully I'll start posting more around here once BB starts.
Current TV shows I watch are BB, AI, TAR, DH, GA, Apprentice, some of the NBC comedies... I know I'm missing some. I'm watching Treasure Hunters now too. I also watch my soap (Days of Our Lives) and Il'l try any show that's about a band. And, I'm not afraid to admit that I like watching those silly tween shows on Disney and Nick after work.
Oh and I'm horriblle at typing, so please excuse me if I make mistakes!

Well, now that I have gone thru the 18 pages of introductions and commented, I'll go ahead and introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Rachel and i'm addicted to tv.
(Hi, Rachel~) yes, i responded to myself, i do that when talking to myself as well. makes for good conversation. and I say I'm an addict, but after avidly reading Tvgasm for just under a year, I'm not nearly as bad as I thought, or as those around me would like to believe.
I am another of those 'gasmers that has no fellow tv worshippers to bs and gripe w/. Then I found recaps and no longer question my faithful viewing of random and often crappy television.
I'm really good at making a lot of run on sentences and i hate to hold down shift just to capitalize a letter, if you hate it, let me know- other boards have- but then i may just curse at you. j/k
I'm 24, live in Columbia, MO, w/ my boyfriend; my cat ran away last august, after 3 damn years. man, that was a bummer. I'm looking into going to grad school in Encino, but gotta find a cheaper city to live in 'cause i'm poor. All you SoCal- ers, advice? And to you in NoCal, I LOVE it there, beautiful and inspiring.
Shows: Lost, Gilmore Girls, the hills, LB (prob not season 3 however), the 4400, OTH, The OC, King of Queens, ATHF, Robot Ckn, Futurama, Family Guy, Simpsons...hmmm... what else..?
RIP: related, buffy, angel, once and again, my so called life, Friends, Seinfeld, 80s cartoons-much better than the crap kids shows today.
Recaps mosltly: DH, Grey's Anatomy, 8&Ocean
FYI: TvGasm is the reason I'm able to be a devoted Lostee, since I just began watching in Feb of this year. Thanks to the recaps and site listings, I am now fully addicted.
Thanks!

Hi Everyone!
I'm Stacy, 25 years old and living in Norwich, CT with my boyfriend of 6 years and my dog of 5. I'm currently not working, and while I'd like to give the excuse of "oh yeah life's been SO insane right now" the truth would be I'm lazy as all get out. :D
Even when I'm not watching it the tv is ALWAYS on at my house. We recently got DVR and I have to say it's probably the best creation since sliced bread..or caller ID. My absolute favourite best show EVAR would be Lost...I am a sad, insanely addicted Lost-aholic. My current Summer TV Crush however is Hell's Kitchen, and I'm currently psyched for the Reno 911! Premier tonight. If I'm not watching one of those 3 shows I like to surf the tv, usually stopping at B-Grade reality shows, History/Discovery channel, or Comedy Central.
Here's where I get more than normally nerdy. When not watching t.v I'm usually gaming (PC or PS2), randomly clicking stuff on the web, or reading (Historical fiction mostly, though I'm not apposed to fantasy if it's written the right way, none of that dragon/fairies/wizards crud).
Soooo...yeah. Uhm, thanks for letting me share? :D

I've been on the forums for about a week, and I just found this thread of introductions. This was a great idea! I found TVGasm when doing a google search for "Leonid the Magnificent." I'm not a funny person but I love to laugh, so the TVGasm writers are able to say everything I wish I could!
I am 23, female, and recently graduated from Truman State University and I now live in Columbia, MO. I was born in Tokyo, then lived in Korea, and in Germany for 12 years. I also lived in the Netherlands for about 6 months. My parents work for the military schools, so I didn't live in the U.S. till I was 18.
My degree is in nursing (I just got official confirmation today that I am an RN) with a minor in political science. I am currently unemployed, though I'm in the process of applying for a job as a pediatric nurse. I hope to one day work for the UN doing population work or with the World Health Organization.
Movies are my first love, but I do love TV. I am not a big reality TV fan, though I watched seasons 1-3 of Big Brother and the last half of Season 6. I am already sucked into BB-AS, and the TVGasm recaps, forums, and live blogs are making me even dream about Big Brother!!! Other shows I like are Grey's Anatomy, ER (though it's gone downhill in the past few years), SNL (I've been watching it since I was 2 and I'm just not ready to give up on it), House, NCIS, and anything on Discovery Health Channel.
I am a dreamer and I still don't know w hat I want to be when I grow up. Sometimes I think I want to be a physician or a medical librarian or a politician or a film critic or a chocolate taster or anything but a classroom teacher. As long as I get plenty of sleep, I'll be able to survive anything.
Anyhow, it's nice to meet you all!

Every so often, I like to go back and read the two sticky threads under General Chat and it just occurred to me that I never introduced myself, so here goes.
I’m a thirty-something woman living in a nice little apartment in a nice little town just outside Chicago who likes to think of herself as a study in contradiction, but is probably just slightly schizophrenic. I’m not a girlie-girl (I’m more Lauren Hutton than Lauren Graham) but I do spend way too much time making sure my eyelashes are perfectly curled and separated. I call my girl friends “dudes” and my guy friends “bitches” and they know if they don’t like it they can suck my dick. I’m a huge technology geek when it comes to computer games and music but my cell phone is 10 years old and I refuse to learn how to read that foreign language known mostly to tweens and teens called “text messaging”. I tend to be a little anxious and can’t speak in front of a group of people to save my soul but I have no problem getting into a fight with a stranger in the middle of the street if I get cut off in traffic. I like bad boys who have good jobs and I dress fairly conservatively but I’m a headbanger at heart.
My member name was an unfortunate choice as both “jam” and “jp” are my mother’s initials (maiden and married, respectively) and every time a thread contains anything to do with sex and one of those nicknames, I freak out just a little. My first avatar was the Jampony logo from Dark Angel, but my coworker, who reads these boards, told me nobody would be able to tell I’m a chick, so I changed it to a sketch of myself but then she said it looked too much like me and that "the crazy internet people" will cyber stalk and kill me so I changed it to Blit Wizbok of the “I Will Survive” video because I thought it was more girlie and didn’t look at all like me. She told me other members will think I’m a gay man who’s into disco so I gave up and uploaded one that, if anyone knows what it is, will surely date me as old enough to be a mother to most of you. And that’s okay. I would imagine a schizophrenic mom might be a little fun!

Well, to maintain plausible deniability I don't want to be specific (I've mentioned some of my coworkers in an slightly unflattering light here and they sometimes read these boards -- if they can't positively identify me, I can't get in trouble!) but I have mentioned in a round about way that I work near Loyola Hospital so I guess I can also say I live about 10-30 minutes west of that, depending on how bad 290 is and how fast I can get my car going. Are you really from Chicago or you being vague, too? I would have put "Chicagoland" in my profile, but I'm afraid that might be almost as bad as saying "Chi-town" and we both know (http://forums.tvgasm.com/showpost.php?p=2855&postcount=20)no self-respecting Chicagoan uses that (http://forums.tvgasm.com/showpost.php?p=4236&postcount=82)word! ;)

I know this thread was started a few months ago, but I just recently joined the forums. Big Brother forced me to join. I didn't want to pay for the Live Feeds, but I wanted to know some spoilers so I could make bets with my elderly neighbor and feel like I won something...lol. I'm a long time reader of tvgasm, but just recently got up enough nerve to start posting. Lol...I'll try and be as witty as some of my favorite posters such as Lizardqueen, zevonia, derder, hunnybunny, and many others. Is it wrong and/or kinda psycho that I check this site enough to have an all star list of posters that I look up to?
Anyway, I'm a 25 year old female and I live in Macon, GA. I teach special education at the same high school that I graduated from. It's really weird being there. A lot of the kids there have older brothers and sisters that I went to school with so they know me from when I did lots of things that could get them expelled from school. Lol...it's funny because these kids think that they are the first ones to try and skip class and smoke weed in the baseball dugouts or have sex in the locker room. The other teachers are always coming to me and asking me where the kids might be hiding or whatever since I know all the spots that the cameras don't pick up.
I am hopelessly addicted to reality television. You name it and I watch it with much fervor and passion...or should I say PASSION! (That's for all your Apprentice fans out there. :p ) American Idol, Survivor, Apprentice, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Real World/Road Rules, etc...It would take way too long to list all the shows that I watch.

Born in Ukie Village at Chicago Avenue and Western...went to Lane Tech (Go Lane!) at Western and Addision and graduated from DePaul. Worked (in no particular order) in Schaumburg as a reporter, in Chicago as press advance for Former Pres. Carter, in South Holland as a college administrator, in Lombard in corporate marketing, and back to Chicago in various advertising creative jobs.
Chicagoland is infinitely better than Chi-Town. There was a movement a while back to designate Chicago as the Third Coast. I prefer to think of Chicago as a cleaner Manhattan with bowling alleys!

BB7, Fresh Meat, Entourage, TAR, Survivor, RockStar, House, Last Comic Sucking and Lost. The Dish Network HD dual DVR is an awesome tool for power watching all this crap. My brain is continually rotting. I'm 36 and just moved behind the Zion Curtain. It's all about the mountains for me and the best skiing in the US is 15 minutes from mi casa. I get to do my job from home two months at a time and then roll back to DC for a week. Go to VH1's website. They have an email addy where you can send your info (name, phone number, state, email) for next season...if there is a next season, I guess.

This is awkward already. Okay, I'm Sarah, I live in Florida, I'm a full-time student who wants to be a teacher. I work in a bookstore, write music reviews (if you could call them that) for Twangville (http://www.twangville.com) and apparently am a free-lance press release writer. Who knew? I found TvGasm at the very beginning of my 'Guna obsession. Right before season two began, there was a season 1 marathon (in grand MTV fashion). I got hooked. Three episodes into season 2 someone sent me b-sides recap and I found a whole OTHER obsession. Just what I need. I guess if I'm gonna have vices they might as well be Laguna Beach and TvGasm, right?

I never introduced myself, not that it matters. I'm a typical female student in my early 20's. I've started reading TVgasm since BB6 and original Beauty and the Geek and got hooked. I read it and the standard snark sites everyday. My fave mods are J-Unit and B-Side.
Favorite drama = Sopranos, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, OTH, but I watch most generally anything on tv
Favorite comedy = many, My current favorites is My Name is Earl or The Soup or Best Week Ever- do they count?
Favorite reality show = Big Brother, BBUK, The Simple Life, and the Girls Next Door- this show is amazing and should be recapped!!!! I'll do it!!!!
Favorite talk show = Conan or Oprah
I like a lot of shows that have since been cancelled.

I'm fairly new here myself, so I feel funny 'welcoming' you, but what the heck!
The Soup
I love that show! He cracks me up, and I don't even mind when he spoofs on the shows that I love :p
I figured I should introduce myself seeing as I am truly obsessed with Tvgasm... I'm 20, a full time student (English Major), from Canada, and I don't remember how I found Tvgasm, but I watched Laguna Beach seasons 1 & 2 alternating between episode and recap. The obsession spread from there...
Fave Drama - Grey's Anatomy, CSI
Fave Comedy - Arrested Development, The Office
Fave Reality - Project Runway, BB7, Amazing Race, Laguna Beach
Fave Recapper - B-side, it's his fault I'm addicted!

Hi. I am a paralegal/aspiring editor from Montreal. I don't remember how I found TVgasm, but it was probably about a year ago. I became truly hooked through B-Side's Amazing Race recaps.
Favourite drama: Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (can I list cancelled shows?)
Favourite reality: America's Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance
Favourite comedy: Are there any good comedies on TV right now? I'm open to suggestions, though I think my boyfriend will freak if I become obssessed with any more shows.
Wow, I found making that list really hard, which shows how much TV I watch that I do not truly enjoy.
I am excited that I've finally taken the plunge and posted, instead of just lurking. It's hard to find people who find discussing TV as fascinating as I do....

Maybe I should change my user name to "middle-aged man". You guys are much older than I suspected:blush: .
I'm 37, married for almost 10 years, and have a young daughter. Born and raised in Indianapolis, went to college in northern WI, lived in Alaska for 3 months, Las Vegas for a couple of years, and now live in VT.
Met my wife when she auditioned as a singer in our band "Fatal if Swallowed" (STP-Smashing Pumpkins influence). The band broke up immediately afterward. I have always worked in the environmental field.
I found this site while researching all the negative feedback toward Zayra (Rockstar 2). I think I stirred up a hornet's nest on that forum.
Fav shows: MXC, Last Comic Standing, Survivor, any science/nature show, Little Bear (my daughter got me hooked, OK?), Rockstar, and (I hate to admit this one, so I'll write it in code - SYTYCD).

I did the "Summer in Alaska" thing in '93 - started out working at a salmon factory in Kenai, then worked on a halibut boat in Soldotna (I think), then hitchhiked to Denali to backpack, then ended up working at a remote fish hatchery somewhere in Prince William Sound.
Best experience ever and highly recommended.

Young kids today, I tell you what! I blame that crazy, new-fangled text messaging for ruining the written word. In my day, if you wanted to talk to someone, you wrote a letter. We had to use a typewriter with a ribbon, and the keys would jam, and liquid paper would spill all over you. Times were really tough, but we always managed to pull ourselves up by our own bootstraps.
O.K., now who took Aunt Angie's nerve pills? You know I can't function without my nerve pills!
But seriously, welcome bbfan18, we could use more young people around here.

Whoa nellie - you make it sound like we're a buncha geezers sitting in rockers talking bout the good old days. Let's get it right - we're really a buncha taters sitting in recliners talking about the good ole shows!:p

Off on a tangent, but...there's some truth to your words. One of the cool things about the book The Devil and the White City was that the recounts were taken from letters written during the late 1800s. Because writing was the primary form of long-distance communications, even the most common man honed verbiage, sentence structure and logical paragraph progressions into an art form. If you read some of the letters and compare them to the best writing today...sheesh!

BTW: Since you're heading off to college soon, you might want to start practicing the use of capitalization, punctuation, and full sentences! I think that's generally expected at finer Universities and Colleges, as well as by prospective employers!
Maybe "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" should be required reading for high school graduates.
Would this be a good time to finally point out that there is no such word as "obstinant"?
Oh, no she di'int! (Sorry, but it has been driving me crazy for a while now.)

I know what you mean. And it's only getting worse, especially with all the idiots on reality TV. When phrases and mixed metaphors that reality stars use start popping on scripted shows, you know we're in trouble. For example, when did it become acceptable to say "a whole nother" as if it's a real word?
PS: See how I did this? It's called "multi-quote" and it's really quite wonderful. You could look into it, if you want, whawha. Just a thought.

Because I don't quote right...or you want me to quote more?
I is confusal!

What do you mean you don't quote right? I was referring to how you post a few times in a row because you're quoting other people. I just assumed you're trying to bump up your post count because you want to break into TVgasm Obssessed territory and dethrone zoobabe.
