Everyones stories just keep weaving together, I can't keep up with all of it. I loved this episode even tho it was a Kate flashback. This one at least made sense. Hurley sucking Sawyer in was pretty good too. But according to the previews for next week. Sawyer's not the leader for long....... and Syid is back in the torture business. Can't wait !!!!!!1

I loved when Sayid was like "she's not coming with us" and Jack was like "yes, she is"....and the way Kate then looked at Sayid. Awesome.
And I try not to get my hopes up based on previews, but next week does look pretty sweet....especially what they showed of Sayid. I have this huge smile on my face.....

Who was the woman who was helping Kate? Was she one of Locke's dad's victims? From Sawyer's back story?
UGH. In real life i have trouble remembering where I know people..... and now that trouble is leaking over to watching Lost.

She was the woman that Sawyer conned. Sawyer pulled the same kind of con on her that was pulled on his Mother. So she is pregnant with his child.
And speaking of children - man do they have a lot of parenting issues on here:
Locke's Dad - cons him out of a kidney, cons others, tosses him out of a window.
Kate's Mom - turns her into the cops, promises to do it again, chooses a dead abuser over her own daughter.
Jack's/Claire's Dad - alcoholic, cheater, performs surgeries drunk.
Hurley's Dad - gives him a candy bar and takes off, comes back to help enjoy his lottery winnings.
Hurley's Mom - chooses Cheech nookie over her son's happiness.
Sawyer's Mom - cheats on his dad with the con man (possibly Locke's Dad), loses all their money.
Sawyer's Dad - finds out about the cheating, kills his wife and then himself.
Alex's Dad - if it is Benry, he seems to be a bit of a snake.
Penny's Dad - Mr. Widmore, does all kinds of mean stuff to the love of her life Desmond.
Juliette's Parents - can't be all good if they raised a daughter who is prone to abusive relationships.
Walt's Dad - turns on his friends, shoots Ana and Libby, leads the gang to a trap.
Sun's Dad - Godfather of the East, makes Jin do bad bad things.
Shannon/Boone's Dad - can't remember the specifics - but the relationship there wasn't great - was it?
Ok - that's all I can think of right now.

I really liked the episode. Some random thoughts/questions.
When Kate and Juliette were hiding from the monster in the tree, it seemed to scan them or take photos of them. What is with that?
I can't believe that Juliette is still not an other and I am sticking to that until she proves otherwise.
I find it odd that the others all put on masks when they were preparing to leave their village. Why would they need to do that if the gas was put into the houses? Wouldn't they be fine without it since the gas would be contained in the houses?
What was up with Locke? Did he just flick a switch and see the light. I know he probably when Pulp Fiction on his dad and loved every minute of it, but why would he just suddenly change like that?

Wow...I like this one a lot!
My one nagging thought though...where did Juliet get all of her mad fighting skills? I mean, she was a fertility doc but bitch can kick some serious ass. I wonder if there was some kind of intensive training when they brought her to the island and I wonder if she would have found it really strange that she would need it.
I am crabby that Jack is smitten w/Juliet, I don't trust her AT ALL. I do not believe her BS about wanting to "bond" w/Kate since she got left behind. It's going to be a huge problem back at Lostie camp when Jack is all up in her Kool-Aid trying to get down her pants and everyone else wants to kill her (go Sayid, go!).
And lastly....WHERE THE FUCK DID EVERYONE GO!?!?!??!

As much as I hate the idea of ANOTHER love triangle involving Jack, that whiny little bitch, I also enjoy watching kate suffer. What better way of making her suffer than having her watch the man that she loves pursue another woman, which he wouldn't have even done if it hadn't been for KATE HERSELF? Kates annoyed the hell out of me, but seeing that pained look on her face just makes me laugh and laugh with glee....
Anyway, yeah I don't completely trust Julliet yet, but it does look like she's about to spill some stuff to Sayid, so maybe we will FINALLY know SOMETHING new??? Ugh I hope and pray...
BTW, why is Charlie not dead yet? I just want him to die already, is that so wrong? :(

How do the others who have lived there for 20+ years not know about the monster??? Why didn't kate ask more questions now that she was handcuffed to juliet for an entire day???????? How did juliet have a key for the handcuffs, wouldn't the others have the key? Why is hurley trying to make sawyer a chump! God I hope they don't start making sawyer some nice guy.

I love that Sawyer had a countdown of the week with no namecalling down to the minute.
Loved the Hurley/Sawyer con.
And didn't he look dreamy?
"Your baby looks less wrinkly"
The smoke cloud was strange to say the least. Why would it be put off by the fence? and if the humans could climb over it, why couldn't the cloud fly over it?

I think the monster scanned them b/c that's how he gets their memories to show up in his smoke. If it's some Dharma experiment gone wrong, the Others would know what to rig the fence with to repell it.
I'm with you about Sayid FC- I want him to make that bitch Juliet squeal like a pig next week. The way she talked to Kate was like one of those catty bitches I hate! He needs to go all Iraqui on her ass!:gunsmilie:

But we all know Jack will run to protect her, and he might even try to throwdown with Sayid.

Jinger - we're gonna have to divvy up our men. We both want Coach Taylor and we both want Jack. I'll flip you for it.
Heads = Coach T
Tails = Jack
(And Sawyer when he pulls his hair back is very yummy)

Loved, loved, loved and did I say loved this show??!!
Juliet is not to be trusted. She pretended not to know the monster, had the key to the cuffs and knew how to turn off the fence. Anybody that is that trusted to possess/know that stuff is an other.
Sawyer looked yummy and even yummier handing out the food.
Locke...oh bite me.

Sawyer when his hair looks CLEAN, is yummy.
I'm hoping that Juliet at least tells us enough to satisfy us for the episode.... and not reveal something at the end of the show and we don't go back to that storyline for 2 or 3 weeks.

Jack, the so called "leader", saved Benry....played football with the others...and was ready to pack up and leave the island, screwing everyone else.
Plus, he got beat up by some beach thugs over a tattoo....laaaaame.

I know, right? Unless this episode was only to prove that while Kate is a pretty good criminal she's really, really dumb.
I loved this episode but the boyfriend didn't. I think it was more of a girly episode with it dealing with Kate and her mom, Kate and Cassie, Kate and Juliet... and their different relationships.
I like Juliet. I don't necessarily think she's trustworthy, and I think allowing her to come along really shows that Jack is really easily whipped. But I like her, and I think she's really interesting. I can't wait to see what happens when Ben sends for her...
I found it interesting how Jack's easily conned by Juliet's "love", Sawyer was easily conned by Hurley and a threat of being excluded from their food, Locke was probably easily conned by the others because they offered him a sense of belonging...

I was not blown away by this episode. It was alright. I hate that the previews made it seem more action packed than it was. I wanted to smack Kate...when she had Juliet pinned down she should have forced some answers out of her. That's just my take.
I did love the Hurley/Sawyer stuff going on. Sawyer is attractive, but for some reason I'm not that into him. I love his character though.

Not my favorite episode.
I'm not sure I'm ready for a kinder, gentler Sawyer, although I could do without the tree frog squishing. Hopefully he won't do that anymore.
Partway through the episode I said, right out loud, "This is not a very interesting episode." Just at that moment Desmond appeared on my screen. Ah, that's better. It got a lot more interesting at that point, at least visually.

Shannon/Boone's Dad - can't remember the specifics - but the relationship there wasn't great - was it?
Shannon's Dad married Boone's Mom, then was killed in the car wreck that injured Jack's future wife. I think. Shannon's dad was a good dad, but had a bad will and Boone's mom got everything. So evil stepmom, dead dad situation.

I liked last week's ep better. Not saying I liked the ending, that story really didn't tell us anything, but it was a good ep. This week was more of not answering anything and hinting to other stuff blah, blah, blah. Same as any other week.
Don't get me wrong - I haven't given up on Lost, I still and will watch every week - just that it'll wait til I get around to watching it on my DVR instaed of 'Live'

So does anyone think the Losties WILL move to the compound or stay on the beach. Remember at one time, they were suppose to move to the caves to be safe, then they blew the lid off the hatch so they could all go in there to be safe, which they never did. Only the chosen were allowed in the hatch. So my guess is they'll stay right on that beach.

When they showed the Other's compound all empty, I got the feeling that they would Chooch. That way they would protect themselves from Old Smokie. Then if the Others ever come back, they'd be the haves maybe?

They would be crazy not to move to the compound. If i had a choice of a bed in a house or a hammock and sand in all my crevices - I'd pick the bed.

I was thinking the same thing! Go for the nice little houses, water, and electricity, plus smoke monster protection!

I forgot why they are living on the beach in the first place? My cousin asked me that the other day and at first I thought it was cause the hatch got blown up but they never lived in the hatch, only visited. So what's the deal? Why are they still there?

The beach was their initial campsite after the crash. Then they moved into the caves because it was a source of fresh water. However, once the hatch was found, the producers drew the focus to the hatch and out of the caves and when the hatch blew up, we were left with the beach camp. The beach camp became the main site for the Oceanic survivors because it was necessary to center the action due to the tail section survivors on another beach in Season Two and later the smaller island in Season Three.

In season 1, Jack found the cave and wanted everyone to move there for protection. Only about half of them went. The other half felt it necessary to stay on the beach in case help arrived. It was a big deal at the time. But in seaon 2, the caves were all but forgotten. It became only a source for water.

In last week's episode they hinted that they still get water from somewhere when Hurley said that Sawyer drinks the water that Steve gets each day.
I am getting eager for this week's episode. I can not wait to see Sayid interrogate Juliet.

I can't wait until this weeks episode. I really hope we get a few answers out of Juliette. I'm not sure that I trust her, but if I had to pick an Other to be around it would be her since she wanted to get out of there.
