OMG I am totally in love with the char Juliette. How freaking awesome is she!
I don't care if she is a dirty rotten Other. She's A-OK in my book! The way she stood up to Sawyer and Sayid was just... YAY Not that I hate those 2 or anything, but they seem to think they're the only ones that can be badass.
I really hope they don't kill her off though! They always want to kill off the strong women chars (minus Kate.. damnit).

I'm still wondering exactly why Ben wanted her to go over to them though. Do they know Sun is preggers maybe? They seem to know just about everything else o_O

Thank God for some answers. I'm so content right now. Best episode of the season, in my opinion. Well, second to the not-need-but-much-appreciated cat fight in the rain, followed by the cat fight in the mud. I still want to slice Juliet's face off with a razor so she stops smirking like that all the time, but I'm loving her character because she gives us an opportunity to get some answers. I mean, I still don't know what the hell this magic island is all about, but this episode was very satisfying for me. My one gripe is that they didn't kill Claire.

Wonder what's going to happen in a week, when Ben and Juliet see each other again. Bet some sort of battle between the two sides. At least Sawyer will be able to make nicknames throughout the whole thing again.

Lol.. what's with all the hate towards her?
Sure she's a liar and blah blah blah, but I think that just adds to the intrigue. She is so soft spoken and sweet looking then BAM... turns out she's not so sweet afterall hehe

Once again...Jack is wrong. Sayid and Sawyer are the only smart ones, and i'm surprised they didn't pin her down and ask her how the hell she knew all that information about their pasts.

Good episode, I'm kinda putting things together which is nice.

Great episode! I'm glad we got a few answers. I would really like to know why Juliette is still on the Other's side after everything Ben has done to her. What else has he promised her?

Dude, don't forget that a week in Lost time is like an entire season! Jack was w/the Others for "a week"...it could be next season that they even see each other again!

I don't hate Juliet, I do think her character adds a lot to the whole story. I just think she is a filthy, lying whore is all!

I am going to keep a little hope that she was telling Ben what he wanted to hear or maybe that whatever she is feeling for Jack (b/c I do believe she fees something) or maybe the Losties being kind to her at some point will stop her from doing whatever Ben wanted her to do. I am still not even convinced that his motives are 100% evil, I mean what could he want with all of them aside from the women to make babies?!

I'm still just so blown away with last night's episode! I was so drained by the end of it last night emotionally. I am so glad that I broke my spoiler addiction b/c there isn't anything cooler than the HOLY SHIT moments that aren't quite the same when you know they are coming.

I loved this episode. At first I wasn't too into it. But by the end I was sitting at the edge of my seat. Hate Juliet, but her character is going to help. Yeah, and as usual Jack is stuck believing the wrong person.

Best episode this season. In my opinion, it satisfied a lot of hanging questions.
I like Juliet, even if she is a lying Other.
I don't understand about no one having a baby on the island. Didn't Ben say he was born there, and didn't Roussou (sp?) have Alex there?
Those Others always have something up their sleeve, and Jack should know that. Maybe Juliet gave him one hell of a blow job, and he's blinded by sex now.
It was so good seeing everyone together on the beach, instead of all over the island. Charlie annoyings me to no end. I hope the next time Desmond gets one of his Charlie dying visions, he just lets him go.

I'm guessing being born there is okay, but being conceived there is deadly. Ben could have been conceived before his mother came to the island. Danielle was pregnant before coming to the island, at least she said that in season 1. And who knows about Sun, if she conceived her baby before the crash she's okay, or if she conceived it on the island then she's in danger.
I'm guessing Claire was just being tested to see if she was at risk, and not in any real danger, until the implant was used.

Now that's the Lost I love.

It was sooooo good. I thought that the actress that plays Juliette did an awesome job. She had me really liking her prior to the island, then pitying her plight, then screaming at her cold manipulation of poor, naive, trusting Jack.

When did Jack and John become the island's biggest idiots? I mean, seriously, even Jin who can't understand half of what's going on is on to her.

I think part of the reason why this episode was so amazing was Elizabeth Mitchell's performance. She is obviously an amazing actress. And the thing was, if you think about it, the episode didn't even really tell us that much. We know that they're doing some sort of fertility research; we know Juliet is a mole. That's about it. But the way they told us, the way the writing and acting played out? That's what makes it awesome.

Oh, and I don't know if anybody watches Deadwood on HBO, but Lost and Deadwood have a lot of the same castmembers. Juliet's sister is played by the same woman who was Calamity Jane on Deadwood, which is hilarious if you watch both shows.

YES this episode was awesome, and the ending made it 10x better! I think it fooled everyone because I was actually convinced Juliette was left behind. Now onto the new information..

From my take on this episode Im guessing that the Island has healing powers and that curing cancer is one of them. Im thinking that the reason their is experiments being done there is because they want to find out how to harness this power. The problem is that since none of the women can conceive a child on the island, they have no perfect specimen. This can be why they are always looking over/for children, since they aren't tainted by the outside world.

Ben was shocked to learn he had a tumor since they believe the island has the power to cure cancer and now all of a sudden Ben has gotten it. I'm thinking the reason that he has it is because he has been there too long, the longest on the island. They brought Juliette in because she was able to get her sister pregnant despite the cancer.

I don't think anyone knows about Sun's pregnancy not even the others, since they probably think that it's impossible since that is what her medical files would show (thanks to the Doctor who diagnosed it, but told Sun the truth).

I am wondering if they GOT Sun pregnant. They seem to have no difficulty sneaking in and sticking people with needles in the night - so why not impregnate Sun?

What an awesome episode. I just love this show - always have! It gives me a gasp a week.

Schoonie, thanks! I never would have known sister Rachel is Calamity Jane. Who knew she was pretty?!

I wasn't much into this episode at first, but it got good in a hurry. Very, very interesting. I really like the character of Juliet and I think I have finally stopped thinking of her as Kim Legaspi from ER, thank goodness. Now it seems like she's always been Juliet.

I almost felt attracted to Ben last night. No, no, no! Must not be. He's icky and manipulative. What's wrong with me??

I thought it was really, really creppy when Sayid and Sawyer snuck up on Juliet in the jungle. I don't care how little they trust her and what "her people" have done in the past--I felt a real potential for some serious violence and it was awful. Seeing two men confronting a woman, all alone in the middle of the jungle, was just a little too scary for me.

I forgot just how creepy Ethan can be!

More Desmond, please!

I watched the show a second time with my son. I paid more attention to Juliet's face. I agree with Schoonie, the emotions and acting that Elizabeth Mitchell demonstrated with just her face said more than speaking lines. I think, ultimately, that she wants desperately to get off the island and back with her sister. 'Manipulating Ben' has convinced her to continue her work, especially now that the sub is gone.

Why didn't anyone think that maybe what killed Nikki & Paolo was wrong with Clair, or even mention it, since they had only been buried a few days. You would think that it would at least cross their minds..... and then Jack could have said, "WHO?"

I almost felt attracted to Ben last night.

It's okay; I developed a serious crush on Juliet last night. I like my women sarcastic and bitchy and she was both. The "I had the day off" to Hurley was great. Also I like them to feed me ice cream in bed.

I thought they were trying to make us think that Ben and Juliet were flinging which is why Goodwin being in her bed was such a surprise to me.

Am I talking too much about Goodwin? I had a crush on him in a past show.

I thought they were trying to make us think that Ben and Juliet were flinging which is why Goodwin being in her bed was such a surprise to me.

I thought they said something about that as well, but I looked on Lostpedia and couldn't find anything directly referencing a romantic connection in the Ben or the Juliet entry. I think maybe some Other just said "Ben and Juliet have history" which I think we took to be romantic, but is probably actually Juliet and Ben manipulating each other. But we could get another flashback from Juliet detailing her romantic connections, because the Goodwin thing seemed kind of random and I think they'll come back to all of it.

Yeah - they need to show her reaction to finding out he was killed by Ana Lucia. Not that there's anything she can do about it now since Michael handled Ana. But it could explain some of the hostility to the Losties. From the Others point of View the Losties killed Ethan and Goodwin - both "good guys" in their eyes.

After she said that to them, I was on the couch like "Word, Juliet." because I was fooled by her performace. That's the one thing that bugs me about Lost (particularly Locke, although he is my favorite character) is the blatantly hypocritical moralizing that some of the characters do. It's my Reality TV pet peeve, but on a scripted show. And then Juliet became evil, which only made the whole thing better.

I also found that part where Sayid and Sawyer came up to her in the jungle a bit.. I dunno.. scary. I guess it's b/c I'm a woman as well and I put myself in that situation.. having 2 guys come up on you that wouldn't think twice about becoming violent *shudders*

Anywho! Of course Juliette is still listening to Ben b/c I think she sees him as her best bet to getting off the island. That was the point of Jack saying that whole line at the end about seeing her face when the sub blew up etc etc.
She obviously still wants to get off the island, and she'll do whatever she's gotta do to get off.

Don't forget too, that the Losties think Ben killed Ana and Cindy and shot Michael to escape. I don't think they ever found out that Michael really killed them. Juliet must know that Goodwin is dead or he'd have come back. Besides, those Others know everything that's going on for some reason.

What makes me wonder... how did Ben activate that implant in Clair...was it remote controlled??? Was this something they were planning to do way before Locke blew up the sub?? If so, when and why??

My guess would be 'no' because Juliet had to go over it again and again, which means that it was something he came up with in very little time. I think they did this as some sort of contingency plan AFTER the sub blew up; Locke screwed up their plans.

Oh I agree on that, but what was the purpose of putting that implant in Clair to begin with. Ethan must have done it when he took her to the 'Medical' hatch. That's the ? I have.

Could Sawyer have an implant injected in him too, like Claire? Just waiting to be activated.
And Juliette seems to flounder between hard-ass Other and vulnerable survivor like the rest of the 815 survivors. Half the time she seems to be holding on by a thread. After she stood up to Sawyer and Sayid, she seemed nervous and wanted to throw-up.

The Losties do know that Michael was the one that killed them. Don't you remember the episode where it was the Mike flashback of him finding the Others fake camp, how they captured him, gave him the list of the 4 they wanted him to bring back and to save Ben.
And how Sayid told Jack that Mike was compromised etc.. and Jack confronts Mike about it and he confesses.
And of course since they let Hurley go back to the camp.. of course he's going to tell them all exactly what Mike did.
