So it happens..... you try your best, you do what you have to, and still you can't win!
Are we just dragging this season on to drag it out, or is AR just trying to get the final three they want?

Looks like they are trying to get the final three they want. Sheesh this was a boring episode. The only thing that would have made it better would have been seeing Oswald and Danny humping the tree trunk in the noodle shop

If I'm ever in the race against you all, and I get a chance to yield my competition, I will yield your asses and not feel guilty at all. If someone pays me to yield you, I will yield you. If I have to pay someone to yield you, I will. IT'S THE FRIGGIN' GAME! No mystical forces are going to kick me in the ass for it because mystical forces likely aren't going to care about me using a twist in a game that's there to be used.

However, there was one thing I didn't like about the BQs tonight (they are still my team though) - there was no need to twist the truth with Eric and Danielle. There was no need to approach them in the first place, but if you are, tell the whole truth.
That's okay though. I never thought they were perfect and having twisted the truth myself, I can't fault them for it.

So what the hell is the deal with the second non-elimination in a row. If Eric and Danielle came in last, they would have just been marked for elimination a second time? That's crap. I still want to see the BQs and ChaChas come in 1-2, but this still stinks.

just in case you didn't notice it... at the end one of the BQ's gave up her jacket for the dummy. They are playing the game and are the best at the race. I just want BQ"s and chachacha at the end.

I said the same thing Tabby. What's the point of being marked for elimination if you never would have been eliminated at all? I'm glad tha the cha-cha's are still in it, but sheesh!

So, do you guys really think CBS had 2 non-elimination rounds in a row because they want certain people in the finals.....meaning... not Danielle and Eric??? ..... that if they had come in last, they would have been sent packing???

.......it sure looks that way now that you've brought it up Julie. I hate to think that way about my favorite show. Phil wouldn't let them do that.

I was soooooo upset when Danny and Oswald came in last, and they did a great job with the editing -- my heart was pounding as I was waiting for the penalty to wind down.

I wish they'd do the jumping tasks earlier on in a season -- once you're down to 3 or 4 teams, most of the contestants with a fear of hights have already been eliminated. At this point it's not much of an issue.

Mirna's berating of Charla has reached new levels of horridness. That woman is vile.

I had so many freaking things to say about this episode last night...I knew I should have written them down. Dammit.

Looks like they are trying to get the final three they want. Sheesh this was a boring episode. The only thing that would have made it better would have been seeing Oswald and Danny humping the tree trunk in the noodle shop

I actually really liked this episode - the Yield controversy, the last minute countdown - loved it.

If I'm ever in the race against you all, and I get a chance to yield my competition, I will yield your asses and not feel guilty at all. If someone pays me to yield you, I will yield you. If I have to pay someone to yield you, I will. IT'S THE FRIGGIN' GAME! Sing it sister!! The only thing that irritated me more than Eric & Danielle & Charla & Mirna whining about how unfair it was to yield people, was Danny & Oswald actually feeling guilty for doing it! Correct me if I'm wrong, but "selling" the Yield was their idea, wasn't it? Don't come up with the plan then get pissed when they take the offer! They just went on and on and on about how money is the root of all evil and they weren't proud of themselves and blah blah blah. Anybody ever play Sorry? Is it wrong to bump somebody off the board? It's in the RULES.

But boy do I love the drama it brings.

Have to agree there too - I have really enjoyed the BQs this year and I was kind of surprised they didn't just own up to the whole story. I do have to say though, that with that vein popping out of Eric's neck like that, I might have fudged too.

Good point - I wonder if they had come in last if there would have been a double penalty - marked for elimination with a 1 hour penalty? I was still pretty surprised it wasn't a double-leg To Be Continued.

I agree with you all about having two non-eliminations in a row. In a way, I'm kind of glad Ozzy and Danny came in last, just so we wouldn't have to sit through the disappointment of Eric and Danielle not getting kicked out again. I really did feel bad for them, though, while they were waiting and crying. Sure, it's a game and anything goes, but that has to feel horrible to be in that situation. Not that that justifies all their bullshit about "the other three teams not deserving it".

And Mirna, I know you yell at Charla because she wants to be treated like a normal person, but that's not how you treat normal people. I don't care how tiny or huge I am, you do not scream at me all the time. Someone needs to punch her in the face.

How long do the yields take? Half an hour? If so, they were running at an hour disadvantage and still came in third. But still, there's no way they'll make it through the next round. I believe our final three is the BQs, Mirna and Shmyrna, and Danny and Ozzy. Which should make for a kickass final leg.

i also thought this was a great episode, and despite the fact that it is finals week and i.m deathly ill - i took the hour out of my evening to watch it. and it was worth it!

like when charla got her little car stuck in the middle of the road, or when everyone had to ride the giant bamboo rod in the noodle factory (WTF was up with mirna running all over the work table, that can.t be sanitary), and the countdown for eric and danielle...oh that was good tv!

i didn.t understand the whole point of the two non-elimination legs, i would rather have four final teams duke it out in a to be continued epic leg (which would be MUCH more dramatic, in my humble opinion) than this let down....

I think poor Charla has got so used to Mirna's bitching, she's immune to it now. Kind of like a gnat that keeps buzzing around your head, or white noise.

Does anyone, including Eric, think they would do it any differently had they been the ones who could use the yield(s)? I am surprised that Shmirna didn't take the opportunity while making noodles to tell the Boobs their version of the yield drama, that the BQ's offered the Cha's Cha's $ to yield them. Of course the BQ's only told a 1/2 truth themselves, but it doesn't matter cuz Dan & Eric are in HELL & no one has ever had to go thru what they've been thru!!! I'm SO loking forward to Dannielle's break down next week

When Mirna crashed the kiddie car, and then couldn't get it straight, was so funny. Her yelling at Charla about not learning to drive a stick was fucking rude. As usual. I hope Mirna is home watching these shows with the rest of us, and seeing how horrible she is to everyone. She out and out lied about the yield.
I would have loved to jump!

true. i was soo excited that Eric & Dani survived the 30-min. penalty bec. twas sooooo exciting but hearin fr. Phil that D&Oz survived since ths is again a NEL kinda burst the bubble. sure, not many people like E&D but i feel that in last ep., they've proven that they deserve to be in the final 3 and so does the 2 other girl teams...

Welcome to the forums Buttefly :)

It would be nice to see an all-girl team win for a change ( go BQ's). I found this episode to be very fun and exciting. Though, I do frown whenever my beloved ChaCha's get snippy with one another - they need to leave that sorta crap to the Schmyrna's.

I mentioned in chat - but I want Eric to ditch Danielle and her ugly accent, boring face and easy frustration for one of the easy going and much prettier BQ's. It would be even better if he did it while the race were still going on.

I rather see him ditch Danielle and make a play for one of the BQ's, only to be rudely denied (but with a smile).

Okay, on a serious note I think if he ditched Danielle and took up with Charla it would be perfect. I think Charla would jump at the chance to leave Mirna stuck in that stupid can with it's stick shift and a bus blaring behind. He would be better off to.... Charla has usually been a chipper optimistic happy partner ad Danielle and Mirna could make a team of vengeful, grumbling Americans... not much different than they are now..

That would be so cool, instead of a Yield or Intersection... a 'Trade team member with any other team and finish the race"--- all of them--- mixed up...!!

WHY?!? What the hell have the BQs ever done to you to have you wish that on them?!?!

On a different topic, I recently found out a woman at work is a Charla and Mirna fan. I had to slap her.

I was all grumpy 'cause I've been up for less than a half hour and it's rainy and gloomy outside and I can already see that I don't have a satellite connection 'cause Chicago weather and Dish Network don't play well together... and then I saw the avatar and I have to say... you made my day a little brighter, Tabby. You should read Schoonie's recap for the full story in all its wondrous glory, but basically that's the face of a man who thought everything was going according to plan, then finding out that not only was it not, he was the one who lost out most.
I actually feel a little bad for Edgardo. He always seemed nice enough, though with a few flaws. He just got in with the wrong alliance. Alex had a good change in expression, but Edgardo's was best for avatar purposes.

I wonder if the child of a man who thinks he's a dictator and a woman who thinks she's a slave will turn out to be somewhere between the two extremes. Maybe Jonathan and Victoria are a perfect match for breeding. But then again, remembering Victoria's meltdown as she ran through the streets carrying both backpacks to the pit stop, there's no way that baby will turn out to be normal.

That would be so awesome. So far, it's all the crazies having kids, too, which would make it even better. Kris and Jon have yet to give us a baby, which is a shame, because it would be the world's most perfect baby. To complete the Season 6 baby party, Adam and Rebecca have to have a baby, but it would be too much of a whiny little bitch to compete in a reality show. Oh, yeah, plus he's gay.

Its been years since I saw him in Mailibu Shores and I can't tell from his website if its the same guy. His biography omits references to gems like MMC and Malibu shores....
