I haven't watched this season religiously b/c well.. it sucked at first.
But did they show why everyone doesn't like Stacy so much?
The times I have watched (most of the episodes but not really paying much attention)... I don't ever remember them focusing on her so unless I missed something... can someone tell me why everyone just has so much hate for her?

She was a wretched bitch, and along with her partner in wretched bitchiness (Lisi) was cliquish and cruel.

During the episode when they got the French Coffee Press - Dreamz was trying to work it and failing miserably. Instead of offering to help him - Stacy and Lisi sat by and watched him fail, mocked him, treated him awfully and laughed like the mean girls in High School. And if I recall - they weren't altogether nice to Cassandra either. They were (or so they thought) sitting pretty in their alliance and didn't think they had to be nice to anyone outside it.

Shollia:
Stacey was on my "please vote off list" in the beginning because she fell prey to that common "Survivor" illness, which can best be described as:
"I have a solid alliance early in the game, and because I have a position of power which I don't have in my everyday life, I can now act like a total bitch to the people that are not in my group."
Those afflicted with this ailment, especially early on a "winning" tribe, forget that Burnett has been around the old Survivor block a few times, and has ways of splitting up a smug group. Usually, those afflicted with that illness never see it coming (Lisi), never adapt to new conditions (Lisi), and I have fun watching their self-constructed world be blown apart (Lisi - you listening?). If sufferers from this disease they do catch on, usually its too late and their efforts to "redeem" themselves are pathetic and sad - which usually equals some good TV!
Pegster is right - early on Stacey was cliquish and cruel when she was in the "power alliance" and Dreamz and Cassandra were on the outs. That turned a lot of people off to her (justifiably so). However, to her credit, after the change in tribes and the merge Stacey recognized that she was on a one-way trip to flame-snuffing-vill unless she made some strategic moves. The last episode, she observed information, figured out the shifting sands of alliances, played Alex off without either committing to his alliance (and thereby opening herself up to a charge of betrayal if she did make it to the final two) or rejecting him out-of-hand (which might have placed her on the chopping block now). That's a difficult feat - trying to keep yourself in the game as a "swing" player while at the same time maintaining some semblence of credibility if you do make it to the final and your past actions are put to the vote. So while I can't forgive her cruelty in the beginning to Dreamz and Cassandra (which ws both persionally offensive and strategically stupid), I can admire her ability from last week.

ditto!
Channel Dasher, where have you been all my life? It's like you took all the random Survivor thoughts in my head and put them into one cohesive statement. I could use your help the next time I have a problem at work.
