I need time to digest all this. At least we know the rumor about Locke's dad being the real Sawyer are true.

Wonder what Danielle's gonna do with a case of dynamite????

My goodness James brought it tonight. That was great scene.

STFU Kate. I hate her now. Jealous of Jack and Kate. The smug doctor and the smirky other bitch.

Loved seeing Richard start the con on Looke. He has such pretty eyes.

Why does Rosseau need a crate of explosives? She knows something

MAN... Why do all Locke episodes have to be totally awesome!
It's about time the writers realize they can give us some answers. They don't ahve to reveal everything but give us something damnit.

Anyways. Was great seeing what happened with Locke when he went off with the Others. It's interesting that the other survivors that were taken are so.. I dunno.... creepy and weird. When they were smiling at Locke.. and then when they were waiting for Locke to kill his dad.. NM that there were kids there or anything watching as well... o_O

And come on.. I can't be the only one that totally loves Juliette! I don't care if she is a mole.. she could kill every single one of them (well.. minus Hurley Sun Jin and Desmond) and I would still love her! I just want her to drop kick Kate right in her tattling ass throat.

Kate should never have blabbed to Jackiet (Jackiette, Julack, Jackliet?). But damn, I fucking hate Jack with a passion "anything you have to say you can say in front of her" "don't tell her, she's not ready"....DAMN YOU JACK!

Sawyer was awesome, as usual.

I can't believe she ran to Jack to tell him, I hope Sayid rips her finger nails out with a lobster claw - stupid bitch! She has reached a whole new level of jealous and pathetic...

Jack - there are no words....

"Anything you have to tell me you can say in front of Juliet...."

Ugh! And WTF are those 2 up to anyway!?!?! I hope he gets the shit beat out of him next week and comes back as himself because he went from my fav to one of the ones I want to die! I'm fickle like that, what can I say?

So within two episodes we have had two new visitors to the island in two different circumstances claiming flight 815 went down with no survivors.

Were they both sent in with the job of spreading that information?

Why did Ben keep telling Locke that HE brought his Father there?

My local radio station in Philadelphia had 2 of the show's producers on the air yesterday. They stated definitively that the island is NOT purgatory. So all of the references to the island being Hell arent true.

Still doesnt quite explain WHAT the island is.

The producers also said that the large foot (from season finale last year??) plays a large role in the story of the island, but will not be resolved this year.

I could say more about the 'spoilers' for this season the producers said on the radio but I dont want to ruin it for anyone who likes to be suprised. And I'm not sure of the protocol for what to post & what's too much info :)

I think this episode further proves that the island has healing powers and the dharma/hanso group knew about it and is using it to find out how to harness the power. Locke's father was injured in a high speed crash and to save him they sent him to the island to get healed.

The girl from the helicopter is from the outside and is right in saying that the plane was found and all the bodies were found at the bottom of the ocean. BUT they have no way of finding out who is who at the bottom of the ocean so they assumed since the body count was correct that everyone was dead. Also she crashed into the island because you can't fly to the island because of that electromagnetic field, that is why they used a submarine.

I though this episode was really good but what's up with all the Jack hatin' and Locke lovin? Jack at least knows what's going on and has some plan (we just don't know it yet), Locke on the other hand is becoming dumber every episode being convinced that he is special and/or a savior for the others.

I thought after Des hit the safety the electro field was no longer intact?

I'm not lovin Locke, but Jack (whom I had once planned to marry and have scads of babies with) is really being a dickhead and I just don't like his new attitude. He acts like everyone should still share any and all info with him and yet is witholding plenty of his own, like he's Rob or something.

Disclaimer: I have not yet watched the episode - but I have followed the thread and gotten a full report from a coworker, and even if I hadn't I'd still butt in with my opinion!

Why did Ben keep telling Locke that HE brought his Father there?

Because Ben is OBSESSED with seeming powerful - see also, his way of getting out of his committment to let Jack off the island.

I think this episode further proves that the island has healing powers and the dharma/hanso group knew about it and is using it to find out how to harness the power. Locke's father was injured in a high speed crash and to save him they sent him to the island to get healed.

Again, I haven't seen it, but I think the car crash is more of a rigged thing done on purpose by dharma/widmore - like the coincidental bus that hit Juliet's ex. So everybody thinks Locke's father is dead, but they whisk him away to the island.

I thought after Des hit the safety the electro field was no longer intact?

I thought it was the opposite, that the field became permanent and impermeable, unlike before when things could come and go but nobody could "see" the island.

I'm not lovin Locke, but Jack (whom I had once planned to marry and have scads of babies with) is really being a dickhead and I just don't like his new attitude. He acts like everyone should still share any and all info with him and yet is witholding plenty of his own, like he's Rob or something.

I've never been a Locke fan - probably because he's one of those "What Color is Your Parachute?" nutbars, and I'm more based in reality.

And Jack - well...old Jack was great, new Jack either has something really complicated up his sleeve or is brainwashed.

Wasn't Naomi with the Others at the beginning of the episode, establishing that she is an Other and has infiltrated the group? Or was that Cindy, the flight attendant I saw? Now I'm confused.

I can barely remember the days when I used to like Locke. I don't like him at all any more. Yeah, he's been through hell and everything, but manipulating Sawyer into killing his dad was a terrible thing to do. I think he may be crazy after everything that has happened.

I did like his unspoken pact with Danielle, though. He didn't ask why she needed dynamite and she left without finding out what was going on in the brig. That was kind of neat. And creepy.

I never liked Jack and now I REALLY hate him. Not that I like Kate, either.

Good episode but not as great as all the advance buzz seemed to indicate.

I always like the flashbacks that happen on the island, not pre-island.

Rousseau and Locke's exchange on the black rock was pretty amusing. "I'm just getting some dynamite, don't mind me." "I'm just having my father tortured, don't mind the screaming."

Kate should never have blabbed to Jackiet (Jackiette, Julack, Jackliet?).

I prefer Julack. It's fun to say. :)

LonnaSaur, I thought the same thing about Naomi being with the others, but it was the flight attendant, old what's her name...I thought it was a great show, too, but Locke confuses the hell out of me. And now Sawyer knows he was paralyzed. What is everyone going to think about that?

Everything is such a set-up now. Ben putting away the walkie-talkie in the desk was too obvious. Jack seems to be hiding something but I think it's that he's onto Juliette and her scheming. The past two episodes have been great. Lots of theories to ponder....

Yay! Finally- an answer to something! We now know how Locke's dad got on the island and it was fantastic and intense to see Sawyer finally get his revenge. One thing that confused me, though, was why Ben kept insisting that Locke brought his dad to the island. That was just weird.

My gripe for the week: How come no one on this show ever tells someone something unless they're not supposed to tell? Last week, it was Sun and her idiotic admission to Juliette, this week it's tattletale Kate. Hopefully Sawyer bucks the trend and outs Juliette as the snake-in-the-grass that she really is.

Also, I would really like to have a list of unanswered questions. The only ones I can think of are: where are Walt and Michael? WTF is up with that 4 toed statue? How did Eyepatch fake his death so successfully? Who are Dharma/ Hanso and why do they care about the island? Who is Jacob? What's up with the whispers (and what happened to them)? What is the flying smoke monster?

I know I'm missing a lot but I can't remember all the way back to Season 1. Can anyone help?

Also- I think I have a crush on Mr. Mittelos Bioscience. He's hot.

The answer to the first question is...

Annoying douchebag Michael went searching for his boy, Waaaaaalt. He made a deal with the others. He had to free Ben, in doing so he killed Ana Lucia (yay) and Libby (sad), and then lure Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley into a trap...in exchange he was allowed to leave with his son (they gave him a boat and told him what direction to head).

The answer to the rest of the questions....nothing has been confirmed, only speculation

Yes, yes, this we know. I'm not talking about what happened in the past, I mean where in the heck are they? They keep talking about "no survivors" which means they haven't turned up in civilization yet. When Desmond tried to sail off the island he couldn't leave, so they *should* turn up on the island again at some point unless the writers have completely forgotten that little wrinkle.

Also, they hinted around a lot that Walt was "special" in some way but they never said exactly how, which is driving me crazy. I need to know these things!!

The point of the questions was not answers; I'm just trying to remember all of the open storylines since there are so many unanswered questions that I'm beginning to forget them all. Oh, and I thought of another one- what's up with the brainwashing room that Alex's boyfriend (Carl, was it?) was in?

Maybe Ben isn't directly responsible for bringing Locke's father to the island - maybe "Jacob" is. Which would allow Ben to continue believing in this idea that you can bring things to the island just by thinking them. (I'm not sure I believe this explanation, but it's an option).

And as for questions, somebody posted this awhile back, it's out-of-date now, but a starting point: Top 50 Lost Loose Ends (http://tv.ign.com/articles/745/745595p1.html)

I had a huge crush on him when he was on Suddenly Susan with Brooke Shields. I kept wanting her character to stop her stupid crush on Judd Nelson and his eNormous Nostrils and fall for him instead.

Something has bugged me all along.... the thought that the actor who plays Locke's Dad is wayyyyyyyy too young to BE Locke's Dad - so I finally did an IMDB search. Kevin Tighe was born in 1944 and Terry O'Quinn was born in 1952. So they could be brothers, but not Father/Son.

Actually, she was hired to find Desmond, not the plane. She corrected Sayid when he asked her if she was here for them and she said that she was there for Desmond.

I love how I can walk away from an episode thinking "that was alright" then read what other people have to say and realize how much I missed (I tend to try and multitask). Y'all are so smart.

Wow, Jack has 11 flashback stories. Then he's pretty important to the show and overall story of Lost. Maybe he's like Luke Skywalker and Jack's dad is Darth Vader. He's already got the sister who was hidden from him. Now I'm really thinking I see a lot of Star Wars themes repeated in Lost. The island is the Death Star!!!
