Who will handle this theme week the best? Any predictions on song choices?

Blake established himself in Hollywood with his group's performance of "How Deep Is Your Love." Will he bring it back or try to top it with something new?

Can Jordin bounce back from her disasterous performance last week? Will the three divas split the votes and set Blake up for a spot in the finals? What do you all think?

I'm curious what exact theme idol is forcing on the contestants the week they are mentored by Barry Gibb...... Sing Beegees songs? 70's hits? Craptastic Ballads? I'll search some of my regular spoiler sites & see if I can get any details.

One site says 'sings the songs he made famous with the Beegees'. Damn. I'm tired of theme weeks.

Does anyone else know, at what point do the contestants start singing 2 songs each? Top 3?????

OMG, Jason, that is totally what I thought of, too! The one time Jimmy Fallon actually made me laugh. I love the little theme song, "Talkin' 'bout chest hair!" That was awesome!

Oh man. I can't stand the fucking Bee Gee's. That was my mom's favorite shit when I was a youngster and before I discovered Pink Floyd. Fuck, I may not be able to watch this week.

Bad night. Except Jordin, I loved both her performances. Especially the second one.

I knew Blake would bomb the first song based on his audition with Gibb. His second was better though.

Am I crazy? I actually liked LaKisha singing Staying Alive. I thought it was kind of sassy and fun, which is what I like about her (when I like her). The second song was really, really, really, really bad though.

Blake- I love him, but, ugh. Just. Uuuuuugh!

And wow; did you know that Jordan is ONLY SEVENTEEN???!! Can you BELIEVE it??? What a SHOCK!!

The whole show was extremely boring and I don't care who goes. That's sad, isn't it? This season sucks.

This whole show had me snoozing. I wasn't thrilled with any of the performances, not even Jordin's first one which the judges seemed to like.

I think it was a terrible idea to have them sing 2 Barry Gibb songs. If you're doing 2 songs, a larger and more varied songbook is needed.

The only thing that made this week somewhat entertaining was watching Barry Gibb trying to talk through those incredible chompers. Man, did he ever need some lip balm. My husband at one point said he looked like Mr. Beaver -- I think he was right!

Yeah, last night sucked. The only things I even came close to "liking" were Jordin's two songs (esp. her first) and the end of Mindy Doo's second song. The rest were just UGH!

I am guessing LaKisha is out tonight. And I am READY for her to go. She never takes any of the mentors advice. Blake does Blake-ize things, but he also takes the mentors into consideration. Not Kiki. She just does her thang. And usually her thang sucks.

I'm on board with pretty much everyone here. It was a lackluster night overall and a big letdown after last week when everyone kicked ass. Even the performances that were competent were dull, but I guess what do you expect when you have people singing Barry Gibb ballads?

Blake squandered a lot of momentum he had after the way he blew up the stage last week. I can't wait to see how Flipit goes off on Mr. Wiggy Wiggy in his recap.

M-Doo was competent, technically sound, and dull. Jordin's first performance was really good, and even though she had some rough spots with her second song, she puts a lot of emotion in to her performances and I find her performances really grab you.

Hopefully we're at the end of theme weeks. Once you get this far in, I think the final three certainly deserve to be able to play to their strengths (and we deserve not to have to listen to crap!).

I'm gonna go with the Mr. Beaver thing, but yes now that you mention it I can see that one as well.

It's very sad seeing pop stars and actors/actresses from my youth age, because it's a reminder that I'm getting older too.

I wanted to well up for Jordin but didn't. It was ok but not awesome.

Why does Mel-Do pick such random songs everyweek? I can't take anymore of her.

Even though Blake wasn't very good I still like to watch him do his thing.

They all suck. They would have done better on Americas Next Top Model....and atleast they would have had the chance to karate kick T. Banks in the face. Hmmm...now this got me thinking of the reality TV show that these contestants SHOULD have went on.

wow, I think it is kind of stupid to ask these single performers to sing songs from a trio of men who sang them 30 years ago! 30 freakin years!!!!!!
Why are the judges surprised when they sound dated.... And could they stop complaining REPEATEDLY about the contestants changing the song to up date it by stating
"that is a standard and there was no reason to change it"
out of one side of their mouth and
"you needed to make that song your own and you sang it just like the original!!"

give me a break.... if they don't want the 'kids' to sound dated stop dragging out 60-80 year old performers!!!!:thumbdown:

I too am SO happy to see Kiki and her fishface gone. I have been sick of her for over a month now. Blake better step it up or I predict a Mindy/Jordy finale.
