I know.... it started out soooo crappy and once they got rid of those stupid luxury items, the show finally became Survivor.

I just love Yau-man...what's not to love. He has got to be the smartest man to play the game. I was so scared that he wasn't gonna use that idol at Tribal....... I was screaming at the TV, begging him to pull it out.

Cassandra should be the next to go...."ummmmhumm, ummmhummm" that's all she ever says. She always acts like she just got up, dragging her ass around camp.

I find it hard to believe the finale is this Sunday...... it's just getting good and now it's gonna be over. I will be sad.

Oh my freaking Rob! Could Yau have taken any longer to pull the idol out of his pocket? Sheeeesh

The idiots. They had a great chance to get rid of Yau, and anyone who wants to win really should get rid of him, and they had to blow it by acting all weird about him and giving him cause to be suspicious at Tribal Council.

I just hope they get rid of him next time, unless he wins immunity. Not anything against him, I'm just more in favour of people playing smartly.

schoonie, i have to admit, it's b/c of your recaps that i got into this show. i started reading, and then i just had to watch the show to figure out all that was going on. now, i am hooked. last night's episode, i was almost sh*tting myself, willing yau to use his jedi powers to figure out that there was "
"something rotten in fiji". i just hope that dreamz sticks to his word and gives yau his immunity if they are in the final 4.

I was wondering about that. I can't believe Stacey would have looked at Yau like that, it was just too obvious, so I wonder how much of that scene was just editing.

But when Jeff had Dreamz explain the deal he made with Yauman, I thought Rocky's Scooby Do wtf face and head snap was hysterical. Why do people on the jury feel the need to overact (a la Nate) all the time? Your five minutes of fame are over, people! Let it go.

I was jumping up and down and clapping in my living room when Yau pulled out the idol. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Yau-Man is 56 kinds of awesome. And how smart was that deal with Dreamz?

Stacy is a dummy. If she wouldn't have given that whole "shilousaqua" (as Dreamz would say) at TC, Yau would never have played the idol. But I am glad she did!

I totally agree with Chooch- this season has turned out to be one of the best after a crappy start, and I can't believe it's almost over. :(

The best part of this whole episode was the looks on Alex and Edguardo's faces when Dreamz said "I'm a great man of my word" at TC. Edguardo was trying so hard not to laugh, and if Alex had rolled his eyes any harder, they would have rolled straight out of his sockets.

Pegsters' excerpt of the last 5 minutes of Survivor:

"play it"
"play it"
"Play it NOW"
"Just PLAY the DAMN IDOL"
"OH MY GOD JUST PLAY THE FUCKING THING. DO IT NOW. PLAY IT!!!! PLAY IT!!!"
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now THAT is how you use an immunity idol, my friends."
"YES!!!!!!1 TAKE THAT, SUCKAS!!!!!!"

I knew he was going to play it after Stacy spoke at tribal Way to blow it, moron; thanks! Loved the looks on Yau's and Earl's faces when the votes were read. "One vote for Yau; that vote does not count." Ha.

This show is getting so completely awesome. I hope Earl gets to play his on Sunday. Sweet.

Pegster - That excerp sounds exactly like the one I had. I was yelling - Pull out the fucking idol - that was seriously drawn out!

I love Yau - I hope he wins the whole thing. Dreamz was pretty smart to want Yau out before he had to give him his immunity (if he gets it). That was a sucky deal for Yau - but give it up for Dreamz for stealing a new truck.

I was jumping up and down and clapping in my living room when Yau pulled out the idol.

No shit. I was screaming at the TV with my hand over my face, all "USEITUSEITUSEITUSEIT" and then when it happened, I started yelling and jumping around my living room like a fool. The people walking through Lincoln Park with their dogs and kids were looking through my front window like "WTF?" and I started pointing at them and smiling. Because I have no shame. I probably haven't cheered that much since NFL season.

I love this show so, so much.

Yeah, my guess is Yau-man will be gone at F5, if they're smart. And, what did I say about Dreamz always wanting to do the last idea anyone gave him? Still true! The man kills me. When he was like "Every plan I've tried to make has not worked out" I started cracking up laughing, because 1)he doesn't make plans, he just follows programming from others, and 2)no shit, it's because you're not that smart and your ideas are bad.

So I'm really excited for the finale on Sunday, but not that excited for the carpal tunnel I will undoubtedly contract from recapping four hours of television in three days.

What happens IF Dreamz somehow makes Final 4 with Yau AND he actually wins immunity? Think he'd fuck Yau over? Chance of all that falling into place are miniscule but could you imagine!?! He'd be more villianized than Johnny Fairplay. What an episode. I can't believe Yau man gave that fucking awesome piece of fossil fuel guzzling machinery to Dreamz. No way, no how. Fucking Cassandra is starting to remind me of Cirie only without personality. She so far under the radar it's making me sick. This season has done a COMPLETE 180 in the past three or four episodes. I'd love it if they showed footage of what goes on when those yutzes in the jury get together after the kind of action that's gone down in the last few tribals...

and to piggy back off of that--how about when boo said his plan was to hide by the water well in the "thicket" so he would overhear everyone's plans. he thought they would prob. choose to vote him out next. i was hysterically laughing, b/c while he was hiding in the thicket, the team already decided to vote him off next. way to give them plenty of time to strategize, douche boo!

also, don't count out yau man to win immunity. he's good at axe throwing and games that take patience and intelligence. he could win immunity next time instead of boo.

Not for a minute do I believe it took that long for Yau to play the idol. It was edited that way to build suspense...and boy did it work.

After Stacy's little speech at tribal I was hooting. She buried herself but good.

I don't necessarily think Yau will go at 5. I think Earl wants to take him to the final three and will protect him.

I think the way the strategies and alliances sit, Earl and Cassandra are both in the final three, irrespective of what happens. The other spot will be determined on Sunday. But mark my words! I'm calling it.

Earl, Yau-man & Cassandra most likely.
I would like it to be Yau-man, Dreamz, & Stacy...wouldn't that be a hoot.... or even Boo in Stacy's place.

Final Four? Earl and Cassandra are a solid bet. Boo has to continue his string of immunity challenge victories to make it to the final four. I'm not sure he can do it if the challenge involves thinking. It bothers me that Cass voted for Yau. She went along with the plan hatched by Dre!?! Oh shit. Dre has potential to make final four if the challenges are physical. Earl with the idol is pure gold for him. He's in the F4 with that and I think he'll try to protect Yau in order to help "the deal" with Dre come to be. Okay then, I think Boo will go next. Then there's a 25% chance Dre wins immunity in F4. Could happen.

See, to me, Dre does not hatch plans. Alex hatched that plan, and it was the last think to stick in Dreamz' head, so he decided that he had to do it, because he is a lethal cyborg assassin.

Perhaps, but he's not dumb enough to be fooled by what Yau-Man's true intentions for the truck-gifting were. At that point I don't think what Alex said had a damn bit of meaning anymore.

Had someone else not suggested it to him, I really don't think he would have come up with it himself. He has yet to have an original thought. I'll give him credit for figuring out that he needed to get rid of Yau, but I really don't think he would have been able to do this had Alex not suggested it to him last week.

Schoonie, Pegster and the gang

Funny my reactions were exactly the same - PLAY THE IDOL!!! - but in hindsight, I don't think Yau ever considered NOT playing the Idol. Here's why

Yau is smart - and recognized from the last TC that there was a move afoot to get rid of him. The hidden idol can only be played at last night's TC, or the next TC - after that, it's useless. Once Earl found the second hidden immunity idol, there was a 2/5ths chance that both Yau and Earl would both have immunity next TC. Why 2/5ths? Either Earl or Yau could win individual immunity - given one of them the necklace, and one the idol. Really, its more like a 50/50 shot at both having immunity, since Cassandra (sorry Schoonie) has shown herself completely incapable of winning any immunity. And I think that she will try to work her way back into the Earl/Yau alliance now that she made the mistake of scheming with some of the most incompetent planners Survivor has produced.

If neither Earl nor Yau wins the individual immunity, then it gets interesting. I think that Earl can work to get Cassandra back - basically she has no shot at winning and Earl can show her that the one plan that hasn't worked was when she broke with Earl. If Boo wins immunity, then Cassandra, Earl and Boo vote off Dreamz - as Dreamz is a threat to prevent Boo from "running the table" on individual immunity (which is the only way I predict Boo gets to the final three). Flipside - if Dreamz wins immunity, vote of Boo (using the same logic with Dreamz - althought Dreamz is going to want to vote Yau). That's if Earl wants to honor his deal with Yau.

Now if Earl wants to get real Survivor clever, he lets events take their course - the Dreamz course, and Boo, Dreamz and Cassandra vote of Yau. Earl remains true to his word to Yau (important for the final TC), and at the same time gets rid of the only other person that I think has a shot at winning besides Earl. Earl is safe - because of the idol - and in a great position for the end game.

I was so excited about the Sunday finale - with one regret - No Schoonie recap to savor before the next one!

Another GOOD episode. Lots of scheming, backstabbing, intrigue and deals. The challenges were kind of dull though, they were almost simple. Usually the individual challenges are ridiculously complicated by this point.

I can't wait to see the next episode, Cassandra is going to have some 'splaining to do. And I can't wait to hear Dre's explanation for trying to get rid of Yau. You know how he tries to stay on everyone's good side for jury votes. I think he will blame the entire idea on the school children of Fiji.

I'm pretty sure that Yau was going to use the idol anyway, but after Stacy's speech even the jury knew Yau was going to have to use the idol. I was really surprised by Stacy because she did some nice acting earlier in the day w/Earl. I wonder why she didn't keep up the performance during tribal council.

I think it's so funny how no one even mentions Earl or Cassandra's name when it is time for elimination. I would be shocked if Earl didn't make it to the final two.

Worst possible final 2?? Cassandra vs Boo...... or Dreamz vs Boo. I'm torn.

As long as Earl or Yau make it I'll be happy. IF they both get elim'ed i'll be POed.

Other things that piss me off...... chipping my newly painted nails while typing this. Oh well, I'll have to re-mani during the survivor show in 1 hr :)
