As a fan from Day 1...

Am I the only one that quit watching this season? I started off as optimistic as ever, but slowly started to realize that every week I kept making excuses for the increasingly bad episodes. Then, as soon as they showed Audrey alive I canceled my season pass on tivo and haven't watched another episode. That skinny bitch is the worst thing to ever happen to Jack Bauer, and I'm including his wife and daughter being kidnapped, his alcohol problems, his heroin addiction, his daughter basically disowning him, and all the times he has died, come close to dying, been shot, stabbed, strangled etc, etc, etc...

Damnit, I hate Audrey.

Well, we are still watching, but I think with everything from the nuclear bombs wrapping up so easily (well, not too easily for Fayed, what with the chain strangulation and all), and all of a sudden Jack defies the president (and puts the whole country in jeopardy) to save Audrey, it is a bit painful to watch at times. Speaking of painful to watch...that Audrey does not do well in HD...

This season was bound to happen. With the emmy wins for last season, a letdown was expected. I have loved this show since Day 1, Hour 1, when the plane was blown up. I'm giving the show a mulligan.
I think they know what needs to be done for the next "day".
Let's see what they come up with.

Indeed, this last season was a complete mess. The shock of a nuclear bomb going off in the OC wore off much too fast, if it was even barely registered and the whole Russian threat never felt too threatening. Make some room on the "I hate Audrey Bus" because I'm hopping on...

I still consider 24 one of my favorite shows, but I am cautiously optimistic about next season. I hope Audrey dies from infected bed sores before the next season starts.

Or maybe, it will start with Jack waking up in the Chinese prison and this shitty season was just a dream! Then we all get the "Jack escaping from Chinese Prison" season that so many people wanted. I'd be willing to put up with that awful plot device for that result.
