Who Wants To Be a Superhero 2!

Did anyone else love the show Who Wants to Be a Superhero that was on Scifi last year? I thought it was hilarious - People can come up with the weirdest powers. (Fat Mama was the best, IMO.)

I saw on the official site that they are going to do it again for another season, starting July 26th. Yay! I am really curious to see what kind of people try out this year.

Was anyone else a fan?

I really wanted to be a fan but it was such on odd show. The contestants didn't take themselves seriously but Stan did. And I couldn't tell what the importance of winning was. You get your own character in a comic book? I don't know. I'll watch again, probably, just to see if it's any better this year.

I liked that it was kind of an offbeat show, and because the people that tried out where SO into it. I kind of always thought it was a cool prize to get a comic book done of yourself....especially because Stan Lee is such a legend in comic-world. And I thought he was very funny judging them etc.

There are some videos up on the official site (http://www.scifi.com/superhero/) of the guy who won last year interviewing some of the people who auditioned this year that's pretty entertaining if you want to kind of check out some of the people who tried out. I heard they did a tour through like 8 cities, like American Idol and had people from all over the place try out.

Gosh I really loved the silliness of this last summer and can't wait to see what kind of crop of superheroes we'll get this season. It will be hard to top Major Victory and Frequency.

Major Victory was pretty entertaining, but yeah, Fat Mama was still probably the best for laughs, IMO. I really liked MV too, though.

Did anyone watch the premiere of this last week? It was pretty entertaining, I thought. Though I kind of can't believe that they lost the first challenge straight out of the gate.

Defuser did really good, I thought he seemed the most like an actual superhero. I thought Mr. Mitzvah was funny (a reclusive multimillionaire? really?) even though he was sort of rude to almost everyone. And Parthenon was okay, too.
