I am surprised that there are no African Americans on the show. Usually there is a nice mix of cultures.

Should be an interesting season...

I'm finally watching episode one and my first impression is - DAMN that house is amazing!

Parisa - seems sweet. I loved her reaction to all the girls in the house. She had the same reaction I did.

Dunbar - what kind of name is that? He has a gf back home. Idiot. I love that she introduced herself as "Dunbar's Girlfriend, Julie." Poor Julie.

The Southern Guy - Cohutta - where do they find these people? AND - who names these people?

Trisha - I can already tell I'm not gonna like this girl. She's all ready talking about cheating on her bf.

Shauvon - very squeaky girl, already being bitchy about the rooms
Do these people watch the earlier seasons where everyone fights over rooms? Do they never learn?

Isaac - he called boobs "toddlers" I can't support that.

Kelly Ann is an annoying little wench. Hot, yes. Even I liked her home movie with her in her panties. however, she's one of thsoe girls who knows she's hot on the outside and thinks everyone is gonna just luv luv luv her. She comes across ugly with her personality though.

Parisa is a bit uptight to me. I think I'd get along with her but she'd have to loosen up just a tad. Although I was right with her when she was upset about the one girl, Tricia I think, making fun of the person not speaking English.

Honestly, I can accept Trisha, Shauvon and KelleyAnne for what they are - it's the freakin' Real World! They're perfect for it. I cannot STAND Parisa. As for Parisa, okay - so she can't handle 2 glasses of wine and doesn't base her entire existence on "OMG, I don't have a boyfriend this minute!!", so what, she's unique to the played out "get drunk and get action in the hot tub" triteness of the past several seasons.

I actually like Parisa's original, laid back style. It's an interesting contrast to Trisha's undignified, hedonistic worldview.

They were playing "Twister" and apparently she was on Isaac the Almost-But-Not-Quite-There's knee when she fell off, or he dropped her, according to who's story you believe. It doesn't really matter though because Isaac said he was going to drop her anyways....what a classy guy. Lots of Cohutta/Kelly Ann/Dumba....oops, Dunbar drama also.

Yes, oddly...this is the first of 20 seasons that I can't really watch. Granted, while I was away at college I missed a few, but I caught them later in reruns (what? MTV reruns?!?)

I've been wondering the same thing. I've had these feelings about quite a few of the more recent seasons. I think they just suck hardcore. They are trying so hard to pick the most stereotypical people they can find... after all their efforts, it's just a recipe for boredom. Really, I know plenty of girls that think they are cuter than they are. I don't need to watch KelliAnn run around for a half an hour talking about how cute she is.

I'm enjoying this season. Cahutta is not the typical real worlder - he is kind, considerate, doesn't take himself too seriously. Dunbar has anger management issues - that's characteristric of a real worlder but I still find it interesting - he'll create plenty of drama with the girls. Issac is not afraid to tell it like it is and doesn't sugar coat it - that's not typical of a real worlder and he's really funny. Kelly Ann is just your typical real worlder looking for validation from men and degrading herself on national TV - love it!

My other vote is that there is a Real World wedlock wedding. I actually quit reading ChickBomb's recaps because I hate that she keeps hating on Parisa so much. Parisa seems like the only girl on that show who I might be able to spend 10 minutes in a room with without strangling. KA seems cool, but she loves to jump on a bandwagon when she sees one... and the usual bandwagon is "let's all bitch at Parisa". Who can really blame Parisa for not wanting to get to know the new roommate when most of her old ones were such bitches.

Issac is seeming more and more like a cool guy. I might feel bad for judging him too early in the season.

KA is most likely not pregnant. You're right, who says "(my boyfriend) thinks I'm pregnant"? They're just playing with us.

It looks like Trasha gets into a fight with Parisa and may have hit her. That second clip looked like they were having a "house meeting" and Parisa had to decide whether Trasha could stay or not.

Did you see a clip of what looked like KA spitting on Parisa while she was in the phone room? Then she yells something like "Do you feel threatened now?" Wow.

I bet the person who dies/died is someone close to Isaac. Either family or a friend from back home.

There was no question that the relationship would die a quick death. With the level of jealousy he already displayed, I was surprised she felt safe going back to him knowing what was going to be shown on the show (her and Isacc kissing / her and that random guy in bed.) Maybe there was a level of naiveté involved.


As for the preview at the end of the episode, I thought it rocked. My only fear is that like many previews on MTV, the reality rarely ever meets the expectations placed within those 30 second trailers -remember Tyrie (Domestic Violence? NOT!) arrest last year? Watching the preview you had to assume he was going to the Big House for 30-Life!

Ashli with an "i".....ugh! Who casts these people? Whatever happened to the "diverse group of strangers picked to live together"? The casts from the last three or four years are interchangeable.....blonde, barely legal mall sluts and drunken frat boys. I know the age cap is 28 so how about some 28 year olds? It would be nice to see some maturity. And how about some ethnicticity? Let's see some Asian, Hispanic or Middle Eastern cast members. I am so tired of the black, white plus one token gay casts. Yeah, they decided to air Wednesday's episode early last night. Supposedly because "they couldn't wait to show us the fight". AKA They knew that Thanksgiving would make us forget about the Real World. Turkey trumps Real World evvvvvvverytime.

Also, that episode was fucking boring, pardon my French. The most exciting bits were all thrown together into the teaser. I hope that Trash-heap gets sent home. Hate her. And that's me not as a Christian.

I wish Kelly Anne would quit being such a bitch so I could go back to liking her too.

Issac used to do a lot of acid. Occasionally he see's birds. He has flashbacks. But when he see's black birds it means somebody's dead. He saw a blackbird last week and sure enuff Gramps was dead!
I like Issac and Cow. KA telling Parisa that if she made Trasha leave she would be there with angry people for 2 1/2 months made me want to smack her. I'm not fond of Parisa but if Trash put her hands on me they would be scraping her off the wall.
