ANTM: The Girls Go Cruisin' (9/19/07)

Interesting premier. I was surprised how pretty Chantel is "in person". Her picture on the show's site isn't that great but after seeing her animated I can totally see her as a top model/spokesperson/tv show host. The only other girl I really like is Lisa; she's got that je ne sais quoi that Tyra kept pronouncing incorrectly.

Season 9 is here and its already the 2nd week next week and someone has gotton in a fight alrready and I'm afraid it looked like Lisa the mixed chick that was in the black halter tonight I hope she's not the first one to get eliminated

yeah, i thought that the cruise ship idea was an interesting one. i wished that they had done more photos on the ship or more challenges on the ship instead of it being an advertisement for the cruise liner. i was glad that they atleast took some beach photos.

i was really glad that they picked Heather - i think she will be really interesting to watch. Hopefully she isnt out first! i also liked Lisa and Janet. Ebony reminded me of Jade with her attitude and how she thinks she is the shit.

I'm just excited to see some of the girls are actually pretty this year, instead of just odd looking. I'm rooting for the girl who has autism, so I'll probably jinx her and she'll be gone soon.


Tyra's drag show/musical routine was cheesy and awful. I hope she never stops doing those!

its going to be live this time I was not really feeing Season 8 that much as I am feeling Season 9 I just love seeing all the Drama create between the Housemates I know this sounds mean but its what makes ANTM fun to watch because I have other shows that I watch after ANTM

Finally saw it on rerun last night.

Does anyone else think Victoria looks kind of like Alexandra Kerry? Or maybe just John Kerry? it's that long face...

I like Heather (except it irked me that she pronounced Asperger's wrong), Saleisha, Lisa and Chantal. Nice to see Tyra not looking like a homeless pirate this year.

I finally got to watch the first episode on Saturday after recording it on Wednesday. God, Tyra is obnoxious and it's all about her. I couldn't believe when she got up and walked with the girl who was auditioning-let the girl do her own walk, for heaven's sake.

I am hoping Nigel and Twiggy were on shore leave and just not on the cruise. Hopefully we will see them this week.

I can't wait for makeovers!

Ugh I was super annoyed with Tyra this time too. Not only did she have to walk with a girl auditioning but she had to have a girl pretend to give her a bikini wax. WHAT? I'm sure we're in for a full season of Tyra talking about how "fierce" she is.

But even with my complaints I did wish the premiere was 2 hours like usual! I like the short haired girl... I can't remember her name.

I had forgotten about the simulated bikini wax. Lordy, how could I forget that? It was too horrible. And too delicious. Tyra is entertaining if she's anything!

Wow I forgot about the bikini wax too!! It was kinda weird in that "did they just do that" way. I'm not sure who I like yet but Lisa was up there. I thought the cruise ship was cool and I liked the marooning thing.

My only problem with Janet is she reminds me of Sarah (Moe) from last season and I DID NOT like Sarah. At all.

That's true. She doesn't act like Sarah, just looks like her a little. I wonder if they will try once again for the always unsuccessful Mia-Farrow-In-Rosemary's-Baby hairstyle make-over on her. Maybe not, J said she doesn't need much of a make-over. We'll see!
