Well...I thought this episode sucked. They made it too much like a comedy or something. I loved seeing my sweet Claire though :p

I hate her perverted stalker though, that guy is an asshole.

Yeah...not much else to say on this one.

Yeah, I'm withholding judgement until we see how things play out a bit, but my initial impression isn't that great on this episode.

Well, I thought it was a good episode. Who do you think killed Hiro's father? At first I thought Sylar, but that's too easy. Does Parkman know about HRG and Suresh's plans to "take down the company"? And what's up with that living situation over there? Is it like My Two Dads? Poor Molly, being stuck with those two schlubs. I loved seeing David Anders playing Takezo Kensei and turning out to be such a loser. Poor Hiro! Oh, and I loved the scene around the Bennet's dinner table at the end. The mom acting like Mr. Muggles is the only one suffering in their new life. Ha! But is that a new brother? He doesn't look familiar at all.

Peter's back and he is hotter than ever! yowza! Nathan looked like shit though!

i have no idea who killed Hiro's dad. i thought the inivisible guy at first since they were on his rooftop but that didnt make sense to me. maya & her brother (i forget his name), what were their powers?

i know that some people disagree but i liked this episode and i cant wait til next monday!

I think the brother is a different actor. Either that, or he sure changed over the summer!

I think the episode had it's pluses and minuses. I was expecting action packed, but thought it was just a slow starter for the season. I loved seeing everyone (especially Peter!!!) And was sad that Hiro's father was killed. Mama Petrelli would have been much more satisfying. I did love the twist with HRG and Mohinder, trying to take down the company. I thought the twist about Claire's stalker being able to fly was so cool! Could he be related? I am looking forward to see how these new storylines play out :)

I thought the episode was good, also. I am upset that we never got to see if Hiro's dad had a power, though, and what it was. We haven't seen Peter and Nathans moms power either. But they just have to have one, don't you think? They were supposed to be in league with Linderman and we know he had one.

The twist with Hiro was great! And Nathan telling his mother she was evil was.....:w00t: But what was the deal with him seeing himself as burned up in the mirror? :confused1:

I liked that the guy who was talking to Clair had a power. It will get interesting, I'm sure.

And also, why are the apartments where these people live always so dark and dingy? Or was Parkman in Mohindar's old apartment?:confused1: And his wife divorced him? Wasn't she pregnant? Hum....

I too thought this episode was kinda lame for the start of the season.

Did anyone else realize that the guy who can turn stuff to gold is Sammy Jenkins from Memento...Or at least thats who I think it is.

I want to know what this mystery girl's power is. Does she turn into a she-hulk where if you get her angry people die from the inside?

And what was the stuff peter was throwing out of his hands. It looks like the blue stuff that we saw in the future episode from season 1 where he fights sylar in the hallway. I wonder where he got that from.

Sooooooo happy it's back. My BF and I have been watching the first season, so I've seen about 13 hours of Heroes this week. It's a bit much.

Looks like Ted's power to me. He could do non-explosion "bursts" of energy, like when he knocked out the power at Primatech to escape with MAtt and Bennett

Same actor. Just looks older http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1370146/

Yeah, what the fuck was up with mirror Nathan?

And I think that was Mohinder's old apartment.

I can't stand Molly. Little bitch.

I think NBC was paying attention to alot of the backlash over its introduction of so many characters in the last season. This season, it is trying to erase a bit of the footprint it leaves in our brains by killing off characters as it introduces new ones. Now, since we have to worry about a new telenovela plotline, we no longer have to think about Hiro's dad, sitting on a bench, waiting for him to return. Each time three new major players are introduced to heroes, one character must die. This is to free up space in our brains so we can remember other important things, like where we left our keys. It kind of reminds me of Al Gore, who flies all over in a private jet and then pays for eco-friendly projects to erase his carbon footprint.
I have to say, though that the introduction of another character who is in need of therapy in order to quit killing people en masse is making me very concerned about the mental health of these writers, and glad that I am not likely cross paths with them. I mean, last season brought us the Psycho-Mommy who ripped people in half as a coping mechanism when they stressed her out. It is disturbing, to say it gently, that two similar split-personality plotlines have emerged in this season. One, Nathan Petrelli, who sees his brother's reflection. And won't it be funny to watch Nathan talking to the Peter reflection and the real Peter at once? Then we have Mara, who kills not only the guy who tries to take advantage of her, but also a truckload of immigrants, just for good measure. It is perplexing.

Whoever killed Hiro's father had to be able to fly, right? Otherwise he would've splatted to the ground, too. I wonder if it's the new guy in Claire's life. But then again, Hiro's father knew the killer and how would the two of them ever have met? Very interesting!

Nathan was seeing what he thinks Peter looked like after the big bang, I think.

PS: Welcome, honi! Interesting ideas. I was wondering about Maya, too, but I don't think she does it on purpose; I think it just happens when she's afraid.

I agree with Jamp, I don't think Maya can control her power, which is why she's trying to get to New York to get a "cure". I couldn't see what the marks were on the dead peoples faces, anyone have a thought?

Uh-Oh...Minda, another one after your man!! :scared:

I almost wanted to take it as he got burned when he flew exploding Peter away and that the audience is just incredibly fortunate to NOT have to see him like that and they don't want to have to spend all that time/money/effort making him up for each episode...discuss

Possible that it's Nathan!??

I thought it was Peter myself. Perhaps whoever has him chained up is using Peter to do his evil deeds...

I don't think it can be either of them; neither of them have a reason to kill him. I think its just a new hero who can probably teleport nightcrawler style.

I don't know...I think Nathan for sure has a reason because these are the people that worked with/for Linderman and wanted Peter to explode and blow up NYC and basically ruined his life and killed his brother (as far as he knows anyway). I think it's way obvious and likely is a "new" person we haven't seen before but ya just never know with these guys!

Isn't HRG's family in CA now... and Hiro's dad was in NYC when he was sent over the edge.... don't think it was teen flyboy.... I think it was Sylar.
Peter has Clair's healing powers so he wouldn't be scarred.... it's Nathan's own reflection in the mirror.
The south of the border story line didn't interest me.
.....and where is Matt's wife?
Glad to see Claire's family survived.... even Mr. Muggles.... just wish Mrs. HRG wouldn't let him lick her lips... it's soooo gross! (I don't mean HRG)

Wasn't the best season premier, but I'm happy it's back... hope Hiro doesn't stay in the past or at least goes and gets Ando.

Yea, right? Will someone please remind me exactly why they are protecting this snot-nosed, make ya wanna smack her upside her head, awful little devil spawn girl thing?

I thought she was good? She's not acting like she's good.

I don't remember any marks. I saw blood oozing from their eyes, though (and maybe noses and mouths, too, I'm not sure). I'm going to watch it again to look for marks and to see the image Nathan saw in the mirror. I'll try to get screen shots.

Thought the show was lackluster. Seems like the producers just dont get the pulse of the viewers, we wanted action in the finale and we wanted more with the season premiere after a long hiatus. The kid stalker EMOTARD nuff said. I am happy that niki wasnt in this ep, they should keep it that way, she is the 2nd worst part of the show, the 1rst being mohinder, i mean that guy cant act, and just cause he has a nifty accent doesnt mean he should narrate every damn ep forever. They should have changed the narrator and POV. But regardless of the weak points i am a sci fi nut and love the show.

Hubby and I finally watched this, and though it pains me to say it...I think I might be over this show. This season I'm really not into puzzle-shows, I have too much going on, so it makes it very hard to be invested in the mysteries of the show. I'm pretty bummed about that :(
