New Season... New Stars???

You all know how much I love this show... I've made that clear, BUT.... this year I have issues. I don't think "Cheetah Girl" should be competing. She is a professional hip-hop dancer. Alot of people were upset last year because Joey Fatone was on the show and he had past dance history. Well, she's been dancing since she was 4. She came out the first night and nailed the cha-cha. Her score...9-8-9....26 total... WTF. The young model, Josie, has no dancing skills at all. She gets a total 16 score. Tonight the men danced. The young boxer danced and received an 18 score, but he danced pretty good for a first time. Wayne Newton came out last and he was AWFUL! The judges fawned all over him. They gave him a 19 score. WTF again! If Wayne doesn't go tomorrow night, I'm not gonna watch anymore. And what's with the billionaire dude on the show... he's no fuckin' star....he's just rich. He sucks too. But the male model, Albert Reed is quite the hotty and he can dance.

Drew Lachey has replaced Samantha Harris this season 'cuz she had a baby.

yeah - what did you think of drew's hosting skills? on monday night i think he said "get on the horn" about 10 times. granted i use that phrase from time to time but it got on my nerves when he said it after every contestant! the question is - will drew be as big of a flubber as samantha??

i dont know who i like and dislike so far but cameron matherson (aka ryan from all my children) better stay in it! and, just to please my grandmother, i am wishing for marie osmond and wayne newton to leave this week!

Jennie Garth looks older than I expected her to. (Yes I know, I just made fun of someone for trying to not look old and now I'm talking about someone looking old, I'm aware) She did pretty well I thought.
I love Cameron, watch AMC everyday.
I agree about the cheeta girl. That's just stupid. The bitch IS a dancer!
Marie Osmond is a little plump but if she stays long enuff that will change quickly. I love Jane Seymore.
There are way too many people on this show for me to remember but those are the ones that stuck out.

Josie probably looked the most awkward and out of her element on the first night, but I was kind of hoping to see if she'd improve with a little more work. Wayne should have gone first.
I think my two faves so far are Helio (but mostly because I love watching Julianne, she rocks!) and Albert... kind of developing a crush on that one. :blush:

I thought Mark did better than a lot of them, although he wasn't great. Living in Dallas, we get to hear much more about him than the rest of you. It seems he was quite upset at being in the bottom two. I'm not a basketball fan but he's always seemed like an okay guy to me.

I, too, missed Jennie Garth, dammit.

I thought Marie did pretty darn well.

Boxer boy needs to stand up straight. His footwork was good but I could hardly notice because his hunched forward shoulders were driving me nuts.

I can't believe Wayne made it thru another week. He is horrible. Makes me wonder about the voting system... maybe The Count really is counting the votes. I'm really sad to see hunky Albert Reed go... and not just because he's cute ... he was fun to watch.

Helio is great and so is Scary Spice. I see them both making it to the end. It's too bad about Jane's mom. I was suprised she'd be back next week.

The judges scores were so 'middle of the road' this week, I hope that's not the way they're gonna vote all season. The talent is quite good this year for so early but that means the judges need to get more detailed in their comments and critiques.

.... and, of course, the costumes are beautiful... except Edyka's... she dresses like crap, but she does every year.

I'm not sure who's voting for Wayne, but they need to stop. I can't remember the last time I had a crush on someone in a reality show, but trust me, there was some adult language being hurled at the TV in my house last night... Albert kicked off already?? WTF??? Sexy definitely, and he could dance, AND just a fun personality. This blows. :angry:

I also like Jennie, and Mel B, and Helio, and Cameron, so I guess I still have people to root for, but still... I'm going to pout for a day or two.

I tried to watch this last night. I saw that Wayne had grown a third ugly eyebrow over his lip, so I let my wife watch while I helped my son with his homework and then read a book. Being completely distracted while watching has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of this season of DWTS.

If Wayne would have stayed one more week, I would have started a formal protest. I only saw the last part of Monday's show so I didn't see his dance and from tonight's clip, I'm lucky I missed it.

Billy Ray and Hannah Montana were great but Max and Karina's dance was smoking hot! They are my two favorite dancers.

Geez... Cheryl has been given an early vacation. She will get shuffled into the group dances. Bet she's bummed. She's used to being a STAR!

Did anyone think Seal wouldn't sing "Kiss from a Rose"?
