Okay, am I the only person who watched last night's episode of the Real World and thought "Holy Shit, this is the best season since London"?

Seriously, last nights episode was almost boring but it was actually... ahem, real.

Even though we got a couple "Kiss my asses" and a random "I'm not even drunk" by Paula's boyfriend whose name escapes me, it was actually showing us what real people (well, real people with money and a car) went through during the Hurricane.

I'm geeked.

Now come on. Everyone LOVES Sharon... remember when she got sick and they debated the health care system! Oh, and of course, that one kid who literally slept through the entire season. And then there was Mike and The Amazing Ranch Dressing Quest in London (almost better than Treasure Hunters). Then again, I've stopped watching Real World when I realized that I couldn't relate to any of the people on the show anymore... I'm old.

That's how REALITY people went through a Hurricane. Trust me - for us REAL people it's quite different. I'd like to see Paula waiting in line for 10 hours for plywood to save her home only to be told the truck isn't coming and get to watch the 100's of people she's just bonded with break out into a riot. <shudder>

I'm sorry about that Tink, I shouldn't have assumed that I knew what a hurricane was like. Let's just say it looked real to me whose only had the misfortune of living through tornadoes where you don't have the luxury of two days notice. :(

Aww no reason to apologize. I was really just mocking the Real Worlders (any excuse to mock them..) You were right - it was riveting to see how newbies react to a storm of that magnitude.

It's scary when your evacuation location gets evacuated.
