I'm really not sure about this episode... first of all, there's a close-up of West somewhere in there that actually made me shudder :P And the way he reveals his power to Claire is like... oh CHRIST what is this, Superman? come on...

I really wish Hiro would drop this whole ancient Japan thing and come back to Ando already. Its boring me.

Know what else is boring me? The double trouble twins down in Mexico... can we please find out what the hell their power actually is now? How many people are we gonna see drop to the ground with tar leaking out of their eyes until we understand why its happening??

I'll tell ya what though, as long as they keep throwing in at least 5 minutes of shirtless-Peter per episode, I will watch forever. :)

P.S. Can someone please tell me who is the old black lady in new orleans?? I don't remember who she is or what she does, but there was a dramatic closeup, paired with some dramatic music, that indicates that she's a returning character :P

Oh and (SPOILER)
Does anyone else think that Candice isn't really dead, that maybe its just another illusion? I dunno... could be a stretch I guess since I don't think she's listed for any other episodes beyond this one on IMBD. Still... Good to see Sylar again :)

Oh my Milo sure did look yummy last night! I am mad he can't have tattoos - he looks good with a little ink.

I too thought the whole "Superman" reveal was really cheesy and bad special effects - normally the effects are not that cheesy. I am glad Sylar is back too - I like what he adds to the show. Mohinder is still the dumbest smart guy on tv. Lordy he makes me mad.

i agree with you Minda - MILO WAS HAWT! and the special effects for West & Claire last night SUCKED!

i loved when Peter wad trying to call on his powers - "Spark! Spark!" LOL. i was wondering about the tatoo thing and then the show answered it for me. it was crazy that it changed into the godsend thingy and then disappeared. i assumed that the black chick in new orleans was DL's mom... but maybe not. nikki & micah still bore me to death!

what about HRG's painting?!?!? that was interesting. so was he one of the originals? and i hope next week we find out who is killing them.

sylar was awesome as usual! i had a feeling that he wasnt going to play nice with candice. when she was bragging about all the shit that she could do i was like "not good for you candice!" but i loved that he couldnt use her power!

The Sylar thing confused me a little, until I read what yevvie posted - that maybe he can't use Candace's power because she's not really dead, that maybe it's an illusion. It was pretty impressive when the camera panned back and it was revealed how exactly out in the middle of f'ing nowhere they are. Candace had to have more to protect her than just her ability to create illusions, if she was going to be stuck way out there with someone as dangerous as Sylar... wouldn't you think?? :confused1:

i was on another site this afternoon and someone meantioned that they thought the wonder twins & the american guy got into Claire's stolen SUV. this sounds right but i couldnt remember if they did get into Claire's car or not.... could they finally be linking the storylines?? does anyone else remember this part?

The Old black lady hasn't been in it before, she is a relation to DL can't remember what though. I wonder if the music and close up as just because of who is playing her.

Now with 2 ex Star Trek actors in it (well one is now dead), wonder who will turn up next.

I am pretty sure that wasnt the tattoo that that the irish chick gave to him that dissapeared. I think the tat she gave him is still there, and that mark was nikki's godsend mark that come up when she goes jessica on people. I think the godsend mark dissapearing was meant to show us that he picked up Nikki's power during their meeting at the finale last season. Seems about right since they were talking about how he wanted to kill the thug when he had him on the wall. Looks like Peter is going to have to deal with some multiple personalities this season?

I don't know if we'll ever know for sure. I feel like we never really got a good answer about the Niki/Jessica crap. Okay, fine. Two sisters sharing one body, but how did it happen? And why? And what the hell kind of super hero power is that?

I'm so confused about that tattoo business. I actually thought it was the Irish girl's arm! I'm gonna have to go watch that part again.

good call peso, after reading your comment i think you are right. It doesn't explain the entire tattoo dissappearing though, unless the split personalities keep their own tattoo's and peter never had one so it's returning....

I laughed when candice turned into 2 females..I don't think she is dead, but it didn't seem like sylar was able to slice open her brain like he normally does.

Okay, I just watched the tattoo scene again and it definitely is the Irish tattoo turning into the godsend tattoo and then disappearing completely. Don't know what that means.

Also, I thought it was established that Niki/Jessica isn't just a split personality, they're sisters. So how could Peter be getting Niki's "power"? Unless Jessica is transferable?

Although, it has to be something related to Niki because if they were just trying to show his connection to that godsend symbol, they already did that by having him wear that necklace.

And one more thought... wasn't it nice of whoever it was who kidnapped him and locked him up in that crate to give him a haircut? I was so tired of that lock of hair always hanging in his face. If I ever get kidnapped, I hope they give me a pedicure and a facial.

Ok unfortunately this was the episode that saw the reappearance of niki, but hey they also brought sylar back so its not all bad. It was cool to see what candice really looked like, after all her hints about her true appearance. I am bored with the peter storyline in ireland, and even more so of the dundertwins. And please PLEASE no more closeups of the emotard!!! Just fly away please fly away and dont come back. I have to say hiros storyline has grown on me, but that has a lot to do with kenzo, why didnt they even show some of the fightin for the firescroll that would have been great!

I guess spoilers - Just a thought though, I'm guessing that white guy in the past in Japan who can heal himself, I think he is alive in present day. He seems a lot like Wolverine, healing factor could make him long lived. And he has a healing factor like Claire, could they be related. And I wonder if he is the one killing all the parents.

Oh yeah, and doesn't it seem weird that all the situations/characters revolve around family, ancestry and heritage. ALL of them. Like that is a key thingy. And white guy in ancient Japan, could he be in the bloodline of all the heroes? Like a distant relative to each one.

I finally got around to watching this episode. I enjoyed it a great deal. We have all these Heroes spread out all over the place and we got to see quite a few that we haven't seen and some we don't want to.
I agree that the south of the border storyline needs to pick up it's pace... it doesn't intrigue me.
Claire and Flyboy were corny but it brought HRG into the fold of the story.
I like Peter's naughty/nice personality. I agree with pesoplaya. I think he absorbed Nikki's 'whatever' powers.
Sylar all alone in the woods... I seriously doubt it. I agree with you guys, Candice is illuding him somehow.
Hiro brings his hero back to the future with him is my prediction.... that could be a bad thing.

Intersting theory about the Nissan Rogue. Was the bumper sticker from Claires school?

This will come as no shock. I didn't enjoy seeing that assholes lips all over my Claire. What he did to her in the classroom was a real dick move.

Next week looks awesome. Great to see Sylar again.

Yea, that was gayer than I usually like to play it, but it's good to be back on the boards. Anyway, you have to excuse me if this has already been discussed but I remember reading in EW that there can't be two heroes with the same power and that is going to be explored this season. I think that's why Peter is looking all haggard and run down because that adorable little D'Agostino kid (from Election) can also fly. And I think if Hiro brings back white Asian who can heal to the present it will have consequences for Claire since they have the same power. Just a thought and again, it's great to be back!

What? i hadnt heard that, and if thats true that would be silly, cause if there powers come from evolution it would make sense that out of billions of people more than one would have the same mutation ie power. I thought that that kids power was the power to be a big doofus emotard? Isnt that a power?:thumbup:

Hehe, I must have the lamest taste is guys because I happen to think he's adorable. Flyboy was the kid that ratted out Mr. McCallister in Election and he was also Jan's "James van Der Beek"-like assistant on the office. I've always thought he was a cutie and I'm so excited that he's on TV.

And the most recent Heroes-centric EW mentioned the dual powers thing. It's not spoilery since it was in all the magazines (although I didn't check every copy, but I assume they're all the same :tongue_smilie: ).

We know that the unspoken fan question ''What's Heroes going to do when they run out of cool powers?'' will be addressed on the show itself. ''The question presumes that there can't be a duplication of powers,'' teases Kring. ''But what if there was a finite pool of adaptations? What if there are other people in other parts of the world breaking out with similar abilities?''

I read somewhere that the theory is sylar cant use her power cause she isnt really dead, but its a hard call. On the one hand she is a great character cause she can be replaced(the actress playing her)at anytime,on the other hand if sylar has her power its going to take some major creativity to not make him impossible to stop. I mean if he can basically look like anyone and create illusions to alter surroundings and perceptions, he would be able to get right next to someone and ZAP!!! eat their brain:)

He did in the ep "Five Years Gone" But that was a possible future and in that timeline it was ted sprague that blew up new york, but everyone thought it was sylar who disappeared as nathan petrelli. That timeline was completely changed when it was peter who blew up and he didnt destroy new york. So now the future is up in the air as far was what may happen.

I was thinking that Candace is either a total idiot to not prepare herself for an attack from Sylar (even if he is slightly incapacitated), or she's casting another illusion. Youre right my bad, it was peter that blew. I am thinking they (the company) might have done something to sylar to inhibit his power, and stuck him in the middle of nowhere for that reason, security that is. Which might be why he cant use candices power even if he killed her, we will see. And she might have been less worried about him cause his power has been inhibited, but psike sylar killed you ....maybe

Yeah, the company may have done something. After seeing the location they stuck him in, it kinda reminded me of the savage land in x-men...which was a place where mutant powers couldn't be used (in the Animated Series).

Dude nice reference, it did sortof look like that, maybe we will see a superpower like sauron in the future, that would be cool!
