12/12--Winner Takes All!

I think they've sunk to new lows--now the final runway show is attended by only ANTM folks. There was no one else there! And Tyra's entrance was so self-serving and disgusting...I thought I would throw up!

Speaking of Tyra being disgusting, as she was choosing between Jenah and Saleisha for the semi-finals, and doing her standard speech of, "who stays, who goes?" and they were both sobbing, what a cold bitch she was! They were both having breakdowns, like none I have ever seen before on this show, and she just kept doing her little grandiose speech...she is just getting worse and worse. She makes me sick.

That being said, if they fix Saleisha's hair, I think she has more of a chance to have some success than any of their recent winners, but she still probably won't go far. Chantal impressed me more in the last episode than she has all season, until she walked the runway. Did she let someone give her Benadryl beforehand? Anyway, she looks really gorgeous with her hair all pulled back, and she's a nice girl. So is Saleisha, so I wish them luck.

Wasn't this season weak on breakdowns though? Before, Tyra used to have one-on-ones with the girls, basically just trying to get them to cry. I don't really remember that this season, but then again I didn't watch too many episodes closely.

Have you ever noticed how narcissistic Tyra is in judging? She'll bring up a girl's problem. Then "When IIII was in this situation..." Also, can we get a break from the "smile with your eyes" phrase?

Not to toot my on horn or anything - but did I call it or what? Last week I said first to go would be Jenah, then Chantal, leaving Seliesha to take it all. Tyra is so predictable. We knew from the beginning that her litte T-Zone girl was gonna be the winner.


I thought Seliesha's CoverGirl commercial and pic was the absolute worst.

Also - loved how in panel after the shoot they kept talking about how Chantal was the most amaturish of them all, then they cut Jenah. This was of course after Dr. Tyra made her cry and then pronounced her healed.

Chantal had the look on the runway, but Saleisha had the walk. Chantal's make-up was beautiful while Saliesha's looked clownish. Fluff up Saleisha's hair and she looks great.

I'm still disappointed that Heather didn't take this. Ecstatic that Bianca didn't win and okay with Saleisha.

meh, i wasnt too impressed with the ending. even though i really really wanted chantal to win it against saliesha, i knew that she wasnt going to. her runway did really suck - on all 3 rounds not just the one when the guy fell. i was surprised that it was only tyra & co for the show. that was dumb.

how come they were going to make jenah read with cue cards but saliesha did 20 some takes and they never told her she needed cue cards.... i liked jenah's covergirl photo the best. and i didnt think that she seemed arrogant during the commercial. whatever, tyra already knew who she wanted to get rid of so they had to give her bad reviews...

lets hope next season when we see saliesha all the time that her hair will be much much better!

Trya.s entrance was so horrible, I agree with Rach, it was entirely self-serving.

I wasn.t surprised to see Saliesha win, but I was kind of surprised that they didn.t go through both girls. pictures and compare them to each other...but then Chantal would.ve won if they had done that...

I can't help it. I still love Tyra. In all of her self-centered, drag queen glory.

In the end I was actually rooting for Jenah to win this thing. That's sad.

Before this episode I hadn't noticed how Chantal's mouth turns down so weirdly when she's not smiling. Did anyone else notice this? It made her look like she was going to cry, and that was even when she obviously wasn't about to cry.

I totally called it, but I kept wishing I would be wrong. This season was the worst. Pretty boring and I am SO sick of Tyra. She takes every situation and makes it about her. The only thing that surprised me this season was how little we actually saw of her. You'd think she'd want to get her face all over the show as per usual. I have to agree with everyone who hated her entrance at the fashion show. What WAS that, anyway? A normal person would have been embarrassed to make an entrance like that. Jenah did not seem to me to be making fun of the commercial--I thought she was trying to act fun and have some personality. I really felt bad for Chantal. She wanted this SO much. Hopefully she'll be better off without winning. I hope next season is better.

So I read on reality blurred that not only did Saleisha attend Tyra's camp, she also modeled on Tyra's talk show, and had a part in a national campaign (which is against the rules)

I call shenanigans on Chantal wanting this more than other girls. Ok, sure you're going to have some girls that aren't completely convinced they even want to be a model. Like my girl from this season, Victoria(? that was her, right? smart girl?). But most of these girls have probably wanted to be models forever, and some of them actually could support their families and whatnot with the money.

So don't whine and cry about wanting it more than the other girls. Especially because probably 10 other girls are going to be doing the same thing. End rant.

I just said Chantal seemed to want it so much, not want it more than the other girls. It's hard to see two people who both want something, and only one can have it. I just felt bad for Chantal.

I thought the way they kept saying Jenah had a bad attitude was total bullshit. Unless everything bad she did was off camera, nothing I saw would make me think of her as stuck up, or making fun of the commercial or whatever. I think they just needed a reason to get rid of her so they made that crap up. In real life, Jenah would be the person I'd be friends with and we'd make fun of Chantal's bubbly attitude and Saleisha's amazing racial change behind their backs (seriously, I didn't notice it until they did the recap; Saleisha started out so sassy and snap-happy and slowly evolved into an african-american version of bubbly, giggling Chantal). Which doesn't mean I don't still love Chantal and think she should have won; I think it was total scam that Saleisha won.

I completely agree with you, jampony! Tyra & co needed to make up a reason to get Jenah outta there so their girl Saleisha could win...simple as that.

It's just disappointing...ANTM is clearly a reality show first & foremost but it never seemed rigged before. Granted, I didn't always agree with the winner they chose but the final 2 always seemed to be the right choice where this cycle was just bullshit. :thumbdown:

I have no doubt Jenah, Lisa & Heather will become successful models if they so choose. :)
