I thought Chris and Christian's dress was abso-fucking-lutely amazing. It really did look like a high-fashion cover. So did Jillian and Vic's, but their's was more just high-fashion and a little less avant-garde. C&C's reminded me of when I used to watch "Style" with Elsa Klench as a kid and think, "Who the eff would wear this stuff?"

Rami is going to bore me to death if Ricky doesn't drown me with his tears first.

I was so hoping that the grim weeper was finally going to go, instead it's my girl Kit Pistol. Booo.

Hey - did you all know that Rami is waaaaaay accomplished at draping? This one trick pony needs a new trick. I new he was going to be safe. Why do they like him? Are they all huge Jessica Alba fans?

Still love my bitch Christian. Their avant garde dress was killer!!

I had to look up 'avant garde' cuz I wasn't sure what it meant. Ricky and Rami both need to go, it just wasn't their time. Kit's dresses were the worst this time and it was obvious to all. Go Sweet P !!! Her little dress was her saving grace from Rami's nightmare.

WOAH! That is crazy shocking news! The next thing you're gonna say is that Heather from the most recent cycle of ANTM had Asperger's or something. Yeah, right!

I also love Christian and all of his bitchy splendor. I was thinking that his hairstyle should have been one of the ones they were inspired to style a look after.

Awesome ep! I wanted to punch Rami and his bullying ways over Sweet Pea. I really hoped he would be the one to go...

I have so much more to say, but I can.t type it

C and C's dress was to die for. Their everyday outfit I would have to agree that the skirt looked cheap. The blouse was such of a great segue from the avant garde to the everyday.

WTF was Rami thinking with putting pants underneath his wonderful draping??? I loved Sweet P saying that she wanted something coming out the backend of the dress. Her dress was cute.

Ricky's everyday dress...why Project Runway Gods is this man even on the show. While Kit's dress wasn't avant garde, Ricky's was just awful.

Though I loved Jillian's and Victoria's avant garde, it really looked more like Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog then Elle...kwim? The everyday just didn't quite translate.

Go Christian and Chris...

This was a great show and does anyone wonder why Christian took lead when Chris was the power behind this dress and if if was not for Chris' ability to construct a tower on the shoulder this dress would never have gotten off the ground.

I wondered about Christian getting the win over Chris - because the whole dress succeeded because of Chris and his abilities. It was his idea and his construction ability that made it work. Christian shouldn't have gotten the win just because he was team leader. And while the everyday look translated well from the dress to the blouse, haven't we seen that look in several variations from Christian?

As for the whole "team leader" thing - you shouldn't win or lose based on being the leader. Ricki needs to go - his everyday look sucked (as has his whole body of work) and of the two on that team, he should have gone over Kit.

Rami needs to be draped in one of his creations and go home. Can we pleeeeeeeeze see something else from this guy?

Don't forget that the producers have a hand in who they keep and Kit wasn't making for very compelling TV. She was kinda quiet. I feel like half the time they keep around the more obnoxious people for ratings (think Omarosa on Celebrity Apprentice).

It kind of irritates me that they think I want to watch Ricky every week.

I sort of believe that PR is one of the few shows that doesn't just keep people around because they make for good TV. Plus, I wouldn't say that most wouldn't consider Ricky good TV either. Also, PR has always, that I can remember, sent the leader of the losing team home when it was a group competition. Fair or not, that's how it is.

I compeletely agree with you, RachWho?, on the team leader thing - as much as I dislike Ricky and think he should have been auf'd weeks ago...it was Kit's design and she wanted the everyday dress to be really simple (though Ricky should have gone the Sweet P route and made a beautiful dress he could stand behind on the runway).

I could see where her design was headed but it just didn't materialize and I agree with Heidi that it looked cheap & kind of poorly made. And don't get me wrong, I really liked Kit but I just didn't see her making it to Bryant Park.

Go Chris & Christan!!! I have to say, Chris is really starting to amaze me -- I think he learned A LOT when he got eliminated and has really made the best of it!!

Does anyone else worry that Chris is going to keel over right before I our eyes? The poor guy always looks and sounds like he's not getting enough oxygen or something.

I finally caught up with this episode. I had my wisdom teeth pulled Wednesday and was still riding a high of Percocet when I watched it. Through my drug-induced stupor, at first I thought I was hallucinating that Kit got voted off instead of Ricky. When I realized that it was true, I began screaming "No, no! That little bastard didn't slip by AGAIN!" (Well, it came out much more garbled than that but you get the point). I think I scared the crap out of my poor mom who was kind enough to be my nurse.

Chris and Christian's design rocked. I am so glad that they gave Chris a second chance. He is an example of good TV... Ricky, not so much!

I read an interview with Anthony Bourdain and he said that when he's done Top Chef, he's never seen any interaction/consulting with the producers at all and that Chef Tom keeps it very professional. However, I have to agree with Tink on this one, I do think the producers have more of a say in who stays. Especially going back to last season when Angela stuck around for so long, and Crazy Vincent. That said, it's tough to know how these shows will get edited and who will make for entertaining TV as it's being filmed.

Also, in reference to the "team leader goes home" edict, I don't really think this started until second season (although did they do teams often in first season?). I think someone, who clearly did well while the rest of their team didn't, or something like that, took a stand and said that as they leader they should go home. I think people have been reluctant to take any other stance, so they've just been sending home team leaders. On one hand it's fair because they've got the most say, but on the other hand, it's also more responsibility. And, say in a case like Elisa earlier this year, she refused to be a team leader.

In season 1, they only had two team challenges. One time a team leader went home, and one time a team member (non-leader) went home. They have really upped the team challenges since that season...not exactly sure why.

I think most of the contestants assume that they will go home as the leader if their designs sucks, but the benefit of leadership is obviously that I don't think anyone but the leader will be given the win, and therefore the chance for immunity. As much as everyone says Chris should have been given the win, he asked Christian to lead, and even though they got along with each other and really didn't require much leading, that's how the cookie crumbles.

I still maintain that keeping Ricky would not, under anyone's judgement, be considered more entertaining than keeping someone like Kit or Kevin around. Sometimes a shitty designer stays around over better ones because of other circumstances. Remember Wendy Pepper?

P.S. I HATE Ricky and want him gone, just so I am not misunderstood.

P.P.S. I HATED Wendy Pepper even more, but there's still time for Ricky.

Didn't Wendy have some good designs though mixed in with the shitty ones? I didn't really watch season 1. I'm not really sure how she made the final 3. With Ricky all I've seen is shit. And I'm not sure that he's more entertaining, but with all of his crying, it at least provides something other than bland camera interviews.

I believe Wendy won the challenge when she designed a dress for GAP and it was sold in selected GAP stores.

Wendy always managed to do better than one other person. And the challenges that she won, she did a half-decent design when everyone else choked. I'm thinking of the Grammy dress design challenge in particular.
