Since I anticipate more players and more activity for this game than we've had in the past for Fantasy Amazing Race, I'm going to keep it veeerrrrry simple for my own sanity, and hopefully a game that is easy to keep up with for everybody.

The Basics: You will have one "active" player at any given time, and earn points based on what happens to that player.

To Play - you will send an email to: fantasybb9@gmail.com

Your email will have subject line: Your TVGasm name - Player you are "activating" (for example: Pekmboyd - Bob)

I will NOT even open the email, the only thing I want to see is
"Username - BB Player Name" in the Subject line.


You will earn 5 points each time the player you currently have "active" does one of the following:

Gets Nominated
Gets Voted Out
Wins Power of Veto
Wins Head of Household
Wins Food Competition
Wins "America's Choice" reward


I may, at various points in the season, offer bonus points for other events- to be decided as the season unfolds, so be sure to check in occasionally.

You are not required to send new answers every episode, or even every week - if I don't get a new email from you, your old "active" player will remain your selection until you change it.


Deadlines:

First deadline is Tuesday, February 12, 9pm Eastern. Submissions received after this deadline will not earn points for any events that take place during the premiere episode.

It may take a week or two to smooth out a schedule, so we'll just start with this for now. I hope you join me in figuring it all out as we go along :)

I don't care if feed people play. I don't watch the feeds and probably won't read the feed recaps, but like fantasy football, it's my choice not to do the extra work in between "games."

Question though, I'm reading it's a "couples" thing (I may be slow on the pick up here) so how does that play into this? Perhaps some variations down the line as this implies that more than one person at a time may be doing the activities?

According to Alison Grodner (or as I now refer to her Cousin It - have you seen her hair?) she said they will room together, share a bed, play together, get nominated together and even be voted out together. Their fate rests with the chosen soulmate even if they don't get along.

Good questions, and the same ones I've been going over in my head. How can I set deadlines for the game when CBS will change schedules and make house decisions based on ratings? It's been said that if the ratings do well they'll split the couples at some point and have them compete as individuals so the show can last longer - as it is we're looking at only 8 couples, so that would make a very short show, and give them a way to bow out fast if the ratings dive when the hiatus shows return.


Official Adjustment to Rules:
You should NOT vote for a couple - continue to vote for an individual - that way, if they do split, we're covered.

Voting deadlines will work like this:
Vote whenever you want. But there's a catch. Two actually. You may only vote once a week (a week will run on BB time - Sunday night after the live eviction and HOH starts a new week), and I will hold your vote as "pending" for 48 hours.


This means if you want your vote to count for Tuesday's 9:00 episode, you must send your vote by Sunday at 9:00. If you want your vote to count in time for the Wednesday 8:00 episode, you must send your vote by Monday at 8:00. If you want your vote to count for Sunday's 8:00 show, you must send your vote by Friday at 8:00.

Example: I get a vote that was sent on Saturday at noon. That's too late for Sunday's show - your choice will be active for Tuesdays' episode.


So: You may only send one vote each "BB" Week, starting Sunday at 9:00 when the show is over and running through the following Sunday at 9:00. And all votes will be held as pending for 48 hours, so that the game isn't just "who watches the feeds the most".

If you voted in time for the first episode (19, yay!) you MAY vote again this week, for this week only.

Correct - whoever you have selected could earn you points either by winning Power of Veto OR by being evicted (or if BB goes insane and does something ridiculous, both).

And yes, you will get 5 points for HOH, and you may choose to change your vote if you'd like. Note above that you can only change your vote once a week - so you can't earn points for all things, you want to select someone who gives you the best shot at winning SOME points.

FANTASY BB FINALE POINTS:

New Deadline: Sunday 8pm Eastern - you have up until then to change your person.

Points You Can Earn:

If you forget to change your person, and still have somebody like Natalie selected, you will get 20 points if your person votes for the winner. So if Natalie votes for Ryan and he loses, no points. If Natalie votes for Ryan and he wins, 20 points. (This is just a way to get some points to some people who haven't changed their person in awhile).

If you have Ryan or Adam selected, you will get 5 points for EACH VOTE they receive, and a bonus 10 on top of that if they win. (NOTICE: If the vote is really lopsided, like EVERYBODY votes for Adam, and Ryan doesn't get any votes, you'll actually earn MORE by picking a jury member who votes for Adam than you will by picking Ryan. Tricky, no?)

If you haven't changed your person and still have a non-jury member like Amanda selected, too bad.
