Mel Gibson use to be a freaking Hottie and not a freaking religious nutcase??

Tell me he doesnt look a bit like Sadam Hussen? Eerie isnt it? And I use to think he was HOT. Now he just makes me cringe.

Wow. My mom used to be obsessed with him. She had pictures, t-shirts, posters...every movie he ever made, including the old crappy ones (like Coast of Terror).
Now when I see him all I think of is him on South Park, begging people to torture him in various...graphic ways. :D

That picture was...well, yuck. Man, Mel used to be such the hottie! I was sooo in love with him in all the Lethal Weapon movies, but he was REALLY hot in The Year of Living Dangerously & the first 2 Mad Max Movies. He even looked great in Signs. And now Staciatrix has made me feel old, seeing as how he is one of her mom's faves. I know looks aren't everything, but now the latest image I have of him is Saddam-ish. Well, Forever Young was on cable today so that helped.

Would it make you feel better if I told you when I was born? Oh, wait, yeah, nevermind! :D
Besides, it's only as old as you feel, right? (ooh that's not any better hehe!)

He was hot as hell - he made having half a face burned off (Man Without a Face) look sexy. Couldn't people see past the burn to the beautiful blue eyes?
Saddam could never look as good as Mel - even hairy and scary he still has those eyes that melt me - and if that makes me old, well than, <sniff> line me up with a good rocking chair.
I saw Forever Young too (actually 3 times in the last week, I can't pull myself away when he's onscreen) and each time I see it I just swoon.

I guess we can agree that Mel's looks are timeless, and span generations too! I actually think he is a great actor too, and his smaller movies like "Man Without a Face" were underrated. You know I've never seen "Braveheart?" But I've seen all the Lethal Weapon movies like two dozen times. What can I say, sometimes easy entertainment & eye candy win out. (Although his mullet phase made him look like a troll doll.)
As far as his "religious nutcase" stuff-as long as he doesn't start jumping on couches & pretending to be some kind of Messiah, I'm ok with him. At least his wife & kids aren't in exile or brainwashed, as far as we know.

He was always my favorite actor - Mad Max movies, Gallipoli, Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, What Women Want (he looked great in those panty-hose). Then he started going all nutso on us. Building his own church, the Passions of the Christ, and now that picture of him...it makes me sad.
He doesnt have to jump on any couches - he is nuts and no longer can I think of him as my hollywood hottie. I will just have to rely on my memories (and cable).
There's always young Brad Pitt and Kevin Costner...

Lindsay Lohan was a nice teenage bubble-gum actress/pop star instead of a drunken idiot who wouldnt know inappropriate from getting your picture taken in a row boat in public giving your new boyfriend a blowjob? N.I.C.E....

He doesn't look too excited. Maybe she's throwing up in his lap.

Considering her pose, thats possible but jeez- she knows she is famous and the paparazzi is everywhere...she cant take a dump without them considering it a photo op and wanting to know where she ate so they can credit the texture.
What a fall from grace. And since the guy looks so miserable, she probably isnt even good at it...

Since this thread is about movies - I have to post what I just read on the EW website. Disney is remaking "Adventures in Babysitting" and are casting Raven (That's So Raven) in Elisabeth Shue's role. :(

OMG, tell me it's for a tv movie & not the big screen. So now movies from when I was growing up are now up for remakes?? Ugh. What's next, a remake of "The Goonies" with the kids from "High School Musical?"

I realized that I must have had a premonition of sorts when I started this thread with that insane looking picture of Mel. Perhaps I am clairvoyant or something. I always wanted to be clairvoyant.
