Yeh, I wanna thank the Academy for totally sucking big time this year. This show was terrible. Jon Stewart is a horrible host. He has no business on this show. He's just NOT funny. His political monologue was uncomfortably inappropriate for this type of event. Made me wish the writers were still on strike.
There were no surprises as far as winners..... but the fashions were severely lacking in both the "Best Dressed" & "Worst Dressed" categories. They were kinda blah! Red was the big color of the evening with most wearing it..... and alot of bling. The jewels were big and long.... a lot more than just diamonds. Nicole Kidman had the most fasinating necklace. At first I didn't like it, but then when she came out on stage to present, I got a better look and found it to be quite nice. Laura Linney had a pendant on that looked like a huge blue sapphire. It complimented her strapless gown which was designed by our own PR judge Michael Kors. She looked great... but alot of dresses on the red carpet looked like hers. It seemed to be the style of the night. Jennifer Garner's dress was alot like hers too.
Perfect in every way was Katherine Heigl. She was absolutely stunning in her red gown, clearly the most beautiful woman of the evening. She is a star in every sense. The 'Best Actress' winner, Marion Cotillard, had on a cream colored, scalloped dress that looked like my mom's thanksgiving table cloth, and it had scallop circles right on each boob.
Jennifer Hudson should sue the designer of her grecian-style white dress. It accented her boobies and when she turned around all you could see was her back fat. It was coming out all over the place. If I paid someone to make me look good, no matter how fat I am, and I looked like that, I wouldn't go and I'd stop payment on the check!
Did anyone else watch this overly long and boring event? If so, what did you think of it all?
