Can I just send a big F-YOU to CBS for changing the name of Big Brother causing my DVR to NOT rec it? I was looking forward to it all damn day and they changed the name of the show from "Big Brother 7: All-Stars" to "Big Brother: All-Stars". I feel betrayed. Thanks Leslie!

Just watch the episode on Innertube on CBS.com?

Clearly the only option is suicide....

Kidding :p
That sucks. I was wondering why my guide didn't have the show in red to denote it's set for recording, which is why I had to set it again.

I agree! Will networks ever catch on that when they change the title each season Tivo isn't smart enough to grab it? ie, Survivor Guatemala, Survivor Palau - every new season I have to remember to set it again. I waited long enough to set Big Brother that I didn't have that problem, but I feel your pain.

Please, how about when my DVR thinks every airing of The Daily SHow is brand new and tapes them all.

Still, it's better than watching commercials.

ARG! That TOO! (in case you don't know - the secret to figuring out which ones are new and which ones are old is whether they list the guest in the description - those are new)

It's hard to knock Tivo since I just recently got it configured to my wireless network so I can play mp3s on my TV....but some of those quirks drive me nuts.

Do you guys have non-Tivo DVR's? Because my Tivo knew to tape Big Brother last night and if I set it to record only new episodes, it obeys nicely.

I have a regular DVR machine that I rent from the cable company. I had the same problem, but luckily caught it in time.

Mine is actually a Tivo (our cable company didn't offer DVRs until very recently) - it didn't mix up Big Brother (I still think this is because I didn't set the Season Pass until right before the premiere), and nearly all of the time it does know not to record reruns, but for some reason The Daily Show fools it's programming.

Hmmmm... Networks not taking into account people who tape the shows then fast forward past the commercials. Go figure. :D

I moved in with my fiance and now we have 2 TiVos in the houe. Love the feature of transferring programs from one room to the other...fun stuff...

Ah, that explains what happened! I have a DVR and I set up Tuesday's recording sometime on Sunday night - I do it one episode at a time because I record the HD channel, and if I told it to record the whole season it would delete everything else in order to save space for upcoming episodes. Anyway, it was about 8:15 when I glanced at the machine and saw it wasn't recording. I gasped so loud my husband thought I was going into labor! Once again, I said thank the Lord for TVgasm because J-Unit's recap told me what I missed in those first 15 minutes.

Only three more episodes for me to watch before I head off to a two week, TV-LESS vacation. And it will be just when things start getting really good - last year I missed the whole Cappy/Michael fight and Kaysar's revenge on the Friendship. Maybe I can pull a Shane and craft a TV and DVR out of some driftwood and a lobster buoy.

displeased I see?

Well tell them your thoughts and suggestions here:

Have them get Mega back on the show while you are at it. This season's ratings are terrible!
