I just finished re-watching this episode and let's get the obvious out in the open......
LOST needs to get better wigs, Clair's was so phoney that I noticed it instantly.
Hurley has definitely lost some weight during the strike. It shows in his face.
Sayid is still HOT!!!

The show answered a few questions but left me wanting more. I didn't want it to end. I like the fast forward. It gives me more to think about as I lay awake late at night. I wonder why Ben can't kill Widmore? and "what rules?" as Sawyer said. I was shocked when that asshole killed Alex...... and Ben has the power to release the smoke monster. AWESOME! Bernard knows morse code. That's an ancient form of communication, but he was in the merchant marines wasn't he, so he would hafta know it. Do you think Ben will make Sayid kill Penny?

Best episode this season and worth the wait!
....but no Desmond.....

this episode was AMAZING!

my jaw dropped so many times - the smoke monster's release, clair's house blowing up, and Alex killed! insane!

the part when sawyer was going to rescue clair and some of the others were outside was kind of funny.

that part was my little comic relief in this episode!

they have left me wanting more!! Cant wait until next week!

I think Ben has the ability to time travel, as does Widmore. And he knows how the events are supposed to play out. I think whatshisface was not supposed to kill Alex, and since he did (changing the rules), he has altered the timeline Ben was following.

I thought last night's episode wouldn't be very good for some reason. Boy, was I wrong.

I still can't believe they killed Alex, I wasn't expecting that at all. :ohmy: Very sad, she was so young.

The smoke monster summoning was awesome, just amazing.

I'm so sad that Nadia was/is going to be murdered after Sayid marries her. No wonder he joined forces with Ben.

It made me think of Desmond going back and forth between the two time periods-he always wound up unconscious and on the floor/ground so I guess that is just part of the way time travel works on this show. Obviously by the time Ben made his way to the hotel in Tunisia he had come from somewhere else in time since he needed to ask what date-including year-it was.

My heart went out to Ben and my heart factor went up when we found out he could summon smoke monster. Best smokey appearance since the stare down with Mr. Eko. I had to rewatch it later because I had a screaming 11 year old in my lap who had to sleep with me last night because of smoke monster dreams.

The girl who plays Alex did a wonderful job. Had big old tears in my eyes.

Sayid joining up with Ben...how cool was that?

Yea, and the fact that he was wearing a parka, and cold air came out of his mouth when he took his first breath, leads me to believe he was somewhere else. Which is actually probably how the polar bear got to the desert to later be dug up! Dharma probably tested on the polar bears before trying it out themselves.

I love you guys! I wondered why he was in the desert too but it never connected in my brain about the parka and the frost coming out of his mouth.... I only gave it a moments notice and 'dust' is what I assumed. I was more focused on the Dharma emblem on the coat....duh!
..... and I don't even remember him asking the date at the desk, and I watched it TWICE!!! .....so it seems you guys think he was time-traveling.... hmmmmm .... so the smile on his face after striking a deal with Sayid was totally of his doing after "someone changed the rules'?

but it's always fun when shooting deaths make me laugh. that was hilarious.

Do you think he's time-traveling to look for Penny?.... and that's why he couldn't kill Widmore, he was in a different time... and I wonder what or who his constant is.... maybe it's Widmore....

Wow - I only just saw it today so all my shock and awe is fresh. I thought the reason he couldn't kill Widmore was similar to the reason Michael can't kill himself. That the island won't let it happen for some reason. Though I could be wrong.

But - that is a good eye for an eye plan. You killed my daughter so I'll kill yours.

Sad to see Alex die, but loved the way it affected Ben.

So for all those people who read tie ins between Lost and Star Wars - did anyone sit up when he they revealed Ben was in Tunisia?
