This is the best Survivor season in a long time. The surprises never stop! Wow, I was blown away when James had to go. A big burly guy like that brought down by a cut......but there he is with the jury and his IV right there with him. Like Jeff said, 3 people gone and not by being voted off is a Survivor first. The jury was ecstatic over Amanda blindsiding the other girls and Alexis getting her torch snuffed. I hope Erik wins another immunity..... the girls won't know what to do then!

This is THE BEST reality show ever.... can't beat a classic!

This really is a great season - I would have kept Alexis to final 4, with the leg she never would have survived the final endurance challenge - but she needed to go before the final because nobody hates her yet.

I loved this episode. Except for the part where James had to leave. Boo.
But Amanda was hilarious! And the looks on Natalie and Alexis' faces was GREAT!

I love this season.

Was anyone surprised that Nasty Natalie wanted to kill the chicken?

Poor James. Poor, poor James.

What was with Amanda laying into Erik at TC? Wasn't everyone betraying her? It wasn't just him...

I love the episodes when the family member gets to visit. It's like that commercial where the daughter gives her mother the refrigerator with the big red bow!

Natalie and Alexis are both annoying. I hope Natalie goes next... she's just awful. I don't know how many times I'm going to say that... but it has to be soon. UGH.

I was thinking they would keep her because of the knee and having both James and Penner taken out for medical. Even Cirie said that with James and Alexis having injuries that two less she has to worry about.
Also why didn't Amanda tell Cirie don't worry about it being a tie I have the idol, it would have been a smarter move now Cirie doesn't trust Parv and Amanda

I thought it was pathetic for Amanda to lay into Eric. Like she wouldn't have voted for HIM if he didn't have immunity? That being said, we finally have someone smart enough to use the damn HII, although I would have preferred to have seen that asswipe Natalie go instead. She is seriously grating on my last nerve. Keeping Alexis would have been the smarter move. Girl could barely walk.

that was a great episode! i'm so glad that amanda got the hidden immunity idol! loved that! i really wished that they had gotten rid of natalie though. i cant stand her. i'm kinda glad that she didnt have any confessionals prior to the merge or i would be ready to kill her now!

does anyone else watch the ponderosa videos on cbs? i just finished watching them and it seems like the jury doesnt really like alexis at all!

Voting out Natalie would have been better. Alexis is all lame and gimpy so I don't think she posed as much of a challenge for immunity. Nonetheless, it was good to see an idol actually played this season. Well done, Amanda!

Does Cirie have a younger man?

I think she didn't tell Cirie because she wasn't sure if she could trust her - she knew Cirie was voting for her to avoid a tie situation, so how far could she trust her with the II knowledge - would she just go tell Natalie and Erik and Alexis so they could switch their vote to Parvati? Cirie is one slippery sucker, and I think not telling her was the safer way to go. But I completely agree that Natalie was the better choice to go - let Alexis get worse and wait for her to be taken out by medical or take her out down the road.

I don't know if he's younger, but he definitely looks a hell of a lot better than he did on her original season - either he realized what he looked like on tv or their lifestyle has improved so he can look stylish - on her original season he was kinda skeezy looking.

I think that Amanda used her time before tribal very wisely. By playing the victim she was able to find out where everyone's loyalties lie. I think that is why she gave Erik such a hard time. She was giving him a chance until the end to actually do the right thing. So not only did she save herself in the end, but she also was able to gain a lot of very valuable knowledge that could help her going forward.

I LOVED James' dad - wasn't he just the most adorable charming man? I felt so bad for James but I am really pleased he gets to stay on the jury. And the jury reactions were hilarious last night.

Erik being so excited to point out Probst to his brother was pretty cute. At this point I'm hoping for an Amanda or Erik win.

Loved seeing Parvati's statue get smashed to bits.

I loved the blindside! I.m fine with either and Amanda or Erik win, as well. The swimming with the jellyfishes looked really cool, and it would be a great way to catch up with your family.

Poor, poor James with his owie on his finger.

Loved seeing Parvati's statue get smashed to bits.

those statues were awesome.. and i loved amanda getting freaked out at how violent the smashing was.. cracked me up. amanda rocks, i was rooting for her on her original season, and still am.

those reactions when she played that Idol were priceless... at first it was all smiles like "omg she DID have the idol".. then it quickly turned into "Holy shit i might be going home." i feel bad for poor, dead alexis though.

best survivor since allstars.

I watch Ponderosa, and I don't think anyone likes Alexis either. The videos are cute though. Ozzy makes me laugh.

I think that Amanda laying into Eric was part of the Amanda-Poverty misdirection (brilliantly played, in my opinion). By laying into Eric it appeared to Alexis, Grinch and Cerie that Amanda was trying to avoid elimination - reinforcing her play that she "didn't have the idol." If the others had suspected that she did - then they would have thrown a few votes Poverty's way.

And after Cerie made it clear that she was aligning with the others, I don't see how Amanda could have trusted her.

I think it was a great play, and for about the first time this season, I actually liked Poverty.

My favorite part was Poverty's excuse for why Amanda wasn't eating chicken: "I told her she stank, so she's washing her armpits". Ok, that's a believable excuse and all, but isn't that a little embarrassing?

I will miss James but did it kind of seem like he wasn't THAT sad to go? Maybe the night before, he realized he would probably have to go and had already come to terms with it. I'm glad he's on the jury-I wasn't sure how they would handle that. Does anyone know if the final voting will be for three people, or two this season?

But it pretty much guaranteed that no one would go looking for her during dinner!

How many people are on the jury so far? I can't remember - but if a final two gives an odd-numbered jury they'll probably do it that way, if having two would create an even-numbered jury it will be a final three.

Did that make any sense? I guess I could look up how many people are left and how many are on the jury but I'm lazy.

Cirie/Amanda/Parvati/Erik/Natalie
James/Ozzy/Jason/Eliza - is that all?
Then I think its final two.

Ooo, I did. Then I think it has to be a final 3, otherwise there would be an even number on the jury and the possibility of a tie.
