YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
I can't wait!!! :) Look at it as more of a chance to bombard everyone we know with the DVDs (S2 will be on DVD by that point!)
(Now if I could just get that lame Smallville CW poster in my metro station to magically change to a VM one...)

I'm reading all over the place that the CW only guaranteed p/u for 13 eps for season 3. Am I hallucinating? After the upfronts in May, didn't we all get excited about the order for 22? Where is this 13 stuff coming from?

As J-unit mentioned in the renewal thread, they ordered 22, but can cancel after 13 eps if they want to. I'm very happy they got renewed, especially with all the network merging madness.

Smart networks, smart choices: So everyone is finally taking a page from FOX's "24" and "Prison Break" playbook. "ER, "Lost" and "Veronica Mars" will run interrupted and then take a break before returning for the remainder of their seasons. And "Veronica Mars" will really make it easier for viewers by dividing the season into three separate mysteries that will run uninterrupted (in nine, seven and six episodes installments)....

I like the idea of uninterrupted runs of episodes. Last season there were some shows that seemed to be a repeat every other week - which totally kills the flow of the storyline.
