Eureka premiere's tonight. Anyone gonna watch it? (That was a joke... I know it's CBS night.) Actually, I might be watching it. CBS keeps going out on my cable (as did NBC and Bravo last night) so I might be stuck watching SciFi all night. Which isn't so bad, I guess. I'm glad they're showing reruns of Dark Angel and Dead Like Me. I'm in geek heaven!

Yeah, but what I really want to know is if those two monsters that like peanut butter will be there.
Ten points to anyone who gets that.

So did anyone watch this? Anyone? Beuller? I thought it was pretty good. Not as quirky as I thought it would be, which isn't necessarily a good thing, and there doesn't seem to be any big mystery about what's going on. But as long as my computer remembers to record it, I'll give it a try.

Finally saw the pilot episode. It's okay so far. I'll keep checking it out. I was surprised they didn't do anything with the father and daughter seeing themselves in the other car. Were alternate doubles created or was it just a warp of the Time/Space Continuum with that doohicky thing the guy made.
::shrug:: Interesting so far. And surprisingly, Eureka on the Sci-Fi channel had higher ratings than premiere of "The One" on ABC... I smell cancellation soon.

I record it on Tuesdays and watch another night. Was it good? I missed the second episode completely (this was before I figured out how to set Media Center to record a whole series) but I saw the third. Problem is it's on my computer and it's a little blurry and kind of small and I think this show would benefit from a larger, clearer screen. It has some special effects that I think I wind up missing because of the quality of my recording.

I don't think there's anything on TV at 8 so I'll try to watch it tonight. Is nobody else watching this show?

Eureka is great, every episode has been worth watching...I'm sorry to see that there's not that many people talking about it. And I don't know why I didn't watch Dead Like Me when it was on the first time around, that show is really hooking me.

Please tell me someone else is still watching this! I need a little clarification about the last episode.
In the series premiere, Carter is taking Zoe back to Los Angeles because she ran away from her mother. They pass through Eureka, crash the car and wind up staying.
In this last episode we find out Zoe stole a credit card to pay for a bus ticket to be with her dad in Eureka. They made it sound like he was already in Eureka and she wanted to go live with him.
So which is it? Am I missing something?
Also, have they ever mentioned again the weird thing in the pilot episode where they passed themselves in a car while driving into Eureka?

Im enjoying Eureka (or as its called over here A Town Called Eureka), we are only 2 weeks behind the US screenings which isn't bad as we are normally around 4 months behind.

I don't remember the last question. But both father and daughter left Eureka after the car trouble, he came back for the job....then Zoe came.
Also, I just blew my own mind. I couldn't figure out what my connection with Allison Blake (who looked super hot in the last episode) was. I just figured it out, she (Salli Richardson) was the voice for the hot detective Elisa Maza (in the animated series Gargoyles).....That explains why everytime I see her, I get this weird feeling inside....

I hope SciFi takes a Saturday and does a Eureka marathon. I don't remember them leaving at all. I thought they just stayed. Plus, I lost SciFi for a few weeks and I've missed a couple of episodes. I was finally getting into it, too.

I really liked the premiere a lot, I thought it opened up a lot of ways for this season to go.
I was really surprised that Henry kept his memories like that at the end after he wiped Carter's, totally didn't see it coming at all, though now I'm really worried about how far Henry will be willing to go...he must be searching for another way to save/bring back Kim, right? I wonder if he will still be angry with Carter for what happened. I love the somewhat more serious twist in his character.
Why does Allison's son know what the artifact looks like? I'm curious where this plot line is going to go too.

Okay. I'm very much curious about this now - what is Beverly doing? Why are they so against Henry working in Section 5, and why was she lying about being in Kim's office? Who is she working for, or with?

I would post a few big paragraphs here right now, that I finally realize there's a Eureka thread, but I'm too busy being pissed off at last night's episode. And good job with the spoiler, Wayne. :p ;)

lol -- it's usually us yanks who spoil it for the brits. But the unofficial rule around here is if it's already aired, it's fair game to talk about. I'm glad I'm not watching it anymore if they killed off Nathan. Wait... who's Nathan?
Wayne

The head of Global Dynamics, Alison's ex-husband or would of been husband again if they hadn't killed him off on their wedding day.
Appologies about spoiling it, but since it had aired i thought it wouldn't be a problem.
