This show starts it's new season this Tuesday night at 10pm est. on FX. For those who've never heard of or watched this show, it's produced by Morgan Spurlock, the guy who made the documentary "Super-Size Me" about eating McDonald's food for thirty days and what it did to his body.

This series follows people who step out of their comfort zones and try something new or difficult for them for 30 days and what the end result is. It's a great show..... Better than those fat-ass bitches or the Hohan's or Charlie Sheen's ex-wife.... just saying.......

Found a little more info from Reality Blurred:

30 Days, the FX reality series inspired by Morgan Spurlock’s documentary Super Size Me, returns tonight for its third season at 10 p.m. ET on FX. The show follows one person who inhabits someone else’s life for a month, and despite the contrived nature of the situations, comes off as a mini-documentary and one of the most real and genuine series on TV. If you missed the first two seasons, season one is on DVD, and available for download on Amazon or iTunes.
The best episodes tend to feature the show’s creator, Spurlock, because his personality is a lot more compelling and he’s more used to being on TV, so he’s better at telling his own story. Because of that, the very first episode, where Spurlock and his girlfriend spent a month living on minimum wage, is still the best one for me.
Smartly, Spurlock has decided to be featured in two of this season’s six episodes. Tonight’s shows him becoming a coal miner, and episode six follows his life on an Indian reservation. But Spurlock says that episode three, in which a hunter lives with a family of vegan PETA members, is “the best hour of television you’re ever going to see in your life,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
Episode five reverses that somewhat, as a gun control advocate whose best friend was shot to death lives with a gun collector. On episode two, NFL quarterback Ray Crockett lives in a wheelchair for a month, while episode four follows a substitute teacher who doesn’t believe children should be raised by same-sex parents who—you guessed it—lives with a gay couple who have four adopted kids.

I am guessing she's talking about the Kardashians. You know, since all Kim Kardashian is famous for is having a big ass and a sex tape.

Rach wins the prize, she's right. I didn't want to try and spell that last name........

I can't wait to see the episode in the commercial where he and his wife try to live on $5.50 an hour!

Minda that episode was last season (or season 1, I can't remember) - I watched the first season but I don't remember if I caught all of season 2. I've seen:
Morgan and his girlfriend try to live on minimum wage
Border patrol guy lives with illegal immigrant family
Christian guy lives with Muslim family
Straight man lives with gay man
Mom becomes binge drinker like her college daughter
Somebody (a couple maybe?) live on a farm-type commune, no electricity, etc

The immigration one was really interesting, the minimum wage one was definitely interesting, the binge drinking one wasn't as good, but overall the series is excellent, highly recommended.

Tonight was the season opener.. he worked the coal mines for a month...

I loved it during the Mom binge drinking month --- her daughter stated...
"unless she dies or something I am not going to stop drinking"
Arizona State Rocks.

Mom turned into a lush pretty fuckin' quick too..... I think my favorite is the one about the dude going to India to see who took his tele-marketing job. He had to learn how to speak 'American' before they would hire him.. lol...

Tonight tho... I had an awful feeling they would find spots on that guy's lungs and they did.

I wish I could afford solar panels....

I watched the show tonight on being in a wheelchair for 30 days and it made me think of two great guys that I know who are paraplegic and they are great athletes. One broke his back when he dove into an above ground pool and the other crashed his car one night after a night of partying...... both were in their 20's at the time. They started pumping iron to build up their upper body strength and eventually entered competitions and both became champion weight-lifters. I admire both of those guys and they turned a horrible turn of events into something good. I miss seeing them.

Holy crap.... did you guys see the most recent episode. I swear I almost went Vegan! That guy that went to live with the animal rights activist family had kinda the same ideas as I do... his were a bit more extreme tho. I'm not a hunter but it is a big part of our area. Towards the end of the show, I was getting quite disturbed. I know what they showed goes on, but I didn't need to see it again!! When they went to the dog pound and took that dog on his final walk, I was truly upset and so was that guy. I love animals and do what I can to promote humane treatment.

It really makes you think..... but that's what it's all about.
Next week, a woman goes to live with a gay couple raising children. She finds the whole thing appalling. I wonder if she changes her mind?

Before the season started I read an interview with Morgan Spurlock where he said the Peta episode was "the best hour of TV you will ever see in your life" - so my expectations were high :) But yes, it was an absolutely enthralling hour of television - and certainly food for thought. I think most people know in their subconscious that animals suffer to be our food, but put it out of their minds in order to be able to eat it - and having it all laid out on TV like that makes it so much harder to put it out of your mind. Of course Morgan's wife is a vegan chef, so it was pretty obvious going in which way the episode would lean. I do wish they had shown a little footage of the guy after he went back home though.

ooooo... I forgot about his wife being a Vegan Chef!... and I agree Pek, more footage of the guy returning home to his hunting friends and their reaction to him would have been a nice balance.
