Bye-Bye Beauties and Geeks?

There was a throw away line in an Entertainment Weekly article that Beauty and the Geek has been cancelled. Anyone else hear that? There were no details, because the article was about something else entirely-the cancellation was just mentioned in passing. Not sure if I care. Thoughts?

I saw BATG on a list of canceled shows -- I think it was from the link pekmboyd posted about the fall line up. I'm a little sad to see it go. But not much.

Mixed feelings and they are just geeks. It's not like we can save them all .
After watching the selection process they went through last season I think there were posers in that house that we both pretty and smart and geeks who were putting on the geekness to make a show.

i dont really mind that it got cancelled. the last season was pretty blah. i loved the first season though. ahhh memories!

Ah there's hope for my favorite reality show after all!
They're making it in Australia now. The first episode was broadcast this week. Haven't watched it yet, but I hope it's as good as the US version.

It'll be better - Beauties with an Australian accent will be hotter. Geeks with an Australian accent will be more interesting too.

Basically - accents improve everything.

Dunno...with the accent, it's hard to tell that some of them are geeks. Although at this point, I imagine the show stocks plenty of ringers.

One guy, for example, gives his glasses to his beauty to wear during a challenge. Which is total bullshit. No self-respecting geek could give out their glasses without blinding the other person. Hell, my own prescription would make the average person's head explode.

So apparently they're copying the script book of the US version exactly. This week: the massage and body-part naming contest. Next week: dating comp with bottle rocket comp.

I still love this show. Even though I think it sucks that they eliminate people. Just let them compete for prizes and cash along the way, what's wrong with that?

its basically the movie plus Human Again and Home... we went through the song list tonight and thats basically what it is.

Its very close to the movie, script wise.
