Anyone catch last night's episode? It was very interesting. They've got teams of husbands/wives versus teams of parents/children. One thing they did this year that I don't remember from past years is they had a doctor show some of the people what a healthy heart (or lungs or whatever) looks like and then what the person's looks like; it was pretty disturbing. He was talking about how the fat in your belly pushes up your diaphragm and, combined with all the fat around your innards, it puts pressure on your lungs and heart and makes it hard for both to do their jobs.

I usually try to walk on the treadmill every night at 8 and I plan my TV viewing around that. Last night for some reason I decided to watch Biggest Loser instead of Greek and I think I made a good choice... I got on the treadmill during the second half and seeing all those images of fat surrounding their hearts and lungs made me stay on the treadmill for the whole hour (usually I crap out after 40 minutes or so). It was very motivating and inspiring. I wish the show was on twice a week instead of doing two hours every Tuesday. And I wish they didn't kick out the losers and make them go home; they should get to stay if they want, just not be eligible to win the big prize at the end. If NBC cared at all about people's health, that's what they'd do. And they wouldn't charge us to be part of their Biggest Loser Club online. :mad:

Jamp, I like your idea of letting the losers stay if they want.

Did anyone else think it was unfair that they let two teams climb that hill by themselves when their partners were deemed too unhealthy?

I also hate to see the losers have to go home, especially so early. At least it looks like the couple who went home has been doing well.

Also, I also thought of the partners climbing by themselves. There is no way Coleen would have one if her dad was with her. But he definately needs this show (maybe even more than anyone) so at least they got the immunity. But boy do I love this show!

I thought Jillian and Bob came out of the box pretty hard.
They would scare me for sure and possible kill me.

I actually dislike Vicky more than I dislike Heba. Heba does seem like a bitch but at least she is on the show because she wants to get healthy so she can have children. Vicky made it very clear in the last episode that this is about winning the money. Her smirk just drives me up the wall!

I definitely agree with the Vicky and Heba hate - and everytime I think I like Brady, his little snotty, angry asides peak out from nice-guy looks a bit too often and then I hate him again.

As for Vicky with the video thing - I hate to say I agree with her, though not about not trying at the challenge. And I say this as a mom, who adores her child, if I sign up to go away for 3 months and get healthy, I need to trust that my child is well-taken care of, and be focused enough that a video from home is not a crutch or a distraction. I honestly believe I would not want to see a video, for fear it would distract me from the goal at hand. I'm not sure that was what Vicky was getting at, and she had a real asshole way of saying it, but I agreed with the end result.

Yep you are right Pek... and Phil got to video confrence with two of his kids, who could not have cared less and Amy's parents...

That wasn't much of a reward for them either .... if they had just been home. By Vicky... not wanting to see kids.... I wonder if they wanted to see her?

Brady has lost his cuteness for me. He acts like a bitchy high school girl. However, I think Heba has a huge crush on him. Did you see the way she charged the stage to hug him after his weigh-in? Quite inappropriate. The bitch.

yeah I thought shouldn't that be Vicky his wife rushing the stage not Heba looking back over her shoulder to see where everyone else was.

Any honorable winner would not have rushed that stage in the face of Jillian's team that had just LOST. Heba and Vicky are just mean to the bone, real big bones too.
You know who I feel bad for in this case is BOB, damn he got stuck with evil people on his team and he freaking knows it. Did you see the bold face lies Vicky told him and the smirk she had on her face in the interview. Pure Shakesperian evil.

I am not a hateful person but I don't know if I have ever despised someone on tv as much as Vicky. There was some satisfaction in Brady going home (although he did it with class) but I was just hoping so much it would be her. She gets under my skin!!!

I missed the last few episodes, why does the blue team hat Phillip so much?

That Vicki is so dreadful, I feel sorry for poor Amy next week. I think she made the right decision, Brady (?) is a much bigger threat than the other woman who was up for elimination. I wonder if Bob will be upset because she eliminated a blue team member. (Or as my mom like to call them, those blue assholes, lol)

Did I miss something? What did Phil do if anything to cause that disgusting creature Vicky to hate him so much. She is just foul. And so was Brady and Heba. They all make me sick. I will be very glad when that pud faced fishwife is sent packing.

I wanted Stacy to win too. I also wanted Heba to SHUT UP!

I think I've lost 5 pounds just from being irritated!

I take it back to the Reese's peanut butter cup episode with an episode where Phil tried to convince Vicky and Brady to vote off Heba instead of Amy.
Honestly he didn''t do shit to those people, they are just ass holes and I hope they get trounced off the show and neither Heba or Vicky are in the final three. And Bob will not be mad at blue kicking off blue... he knows those people are vile, he has said it on past shows. I predict Bob is going to celebrate quietly and cut back on the exercise he gives. And don't be surprised if the young girl turns in her blue shirt for a black on......... these people really got the worst edit you can imagine.. or did they???

The only thing I can think of for the PhilHate is when they had that challenge in the dark and Heba wanted to eat the most calories to be the one who dictates the new teams and Phil tried to quietly undermine her. Darn that loud peanut butter cup paper! It would have been cool to have seen him blindside her and piss her off.

I felt bad for Phil when he was in the kitchen trying to get one of the blue assholes (perfect description angiemarie's mom) to apologize to his wife and they all ganged up on him and he just quietly left the room.

Phil tried throwing Heba under the bus and then load Vicki and Brady on the bus to drive over her. That was before Heba won the challenge to reoganize the teams. Brady took his balls back from vicki for about 5 minutes and tucked them between his legs and ran to Heba and told Phil was trying to get them to vote Heba out.

I did a happy dance when Brady got the third vote and his ass went home

I'm still mad at Amy for not eliminating Vicki when she had the chance. And then she was eliminated the next week. Quelle surprise!!!!

If Vicki had any smarts she would have eliminated Heba though, even though they are friends. As long as she and her hubbie are still in the game they will never vote against each other.

How terrible is Vicki's new hair color? It's a nice color, for someone else. It's way too harsh on her.

Am I the only reality show geek who recognized that male stylist from the show on Bravo? I can't remember what the show was called but it was about a bunch of salons owned by a guy named Jonathan who used to cry and get really angry within a minute of each other.

So right you are re Vicki's hair. The hair was actually stunning, but it's the whole "lipstick on a pig" thing. Michelle and Renee are true beauties and Heba looked really pretty too. I knew I had seen that male stylist before, but could not remember from which show, since I watch way too many of them.

I cannot wait to vote for Vickie to NOT make it into the finals. This is a huge move for me to put aside my frugality and pay the standard text messaging rates.

Yup that was Tabitha - which was odd since we didn't see her at the salon doing any of the make overs, just the guy from Blow Out.

If Vicky is in the final 3 we will know with all certainty that NBC has manipulated the voting. There is no way anyone in America (other than Brady) will be voting for her.

When they showed Vicki after her makeover, I actually gasped. She looks AWFUL! I think it's a hair/makeup mis-match. The hair by itself is a good color, but not on her and NOT with that white pancake makeup on her forehead!

I voted for Ed, too. I'm hoping they'll think everyone will be voting for Heba. Didn't realize that he probably didn't lose weight on purpose until Bob mentioned it. At that point I realized I was going to vote for Ed. Makes me like them even less, even though I dislike Vicki the most.

I have to agree that my biggest gripe about Team Bob is that they can't even be happy for Michelle when she does well. And honestly, I'm really starting to dislike Bob more than I dislike them - it seems to me that working with him brings out the bad side of people. Maybe they were annoying to begin with, but Bob seems to focus more on the hyper-competitiveness between teams, and Jillian seems to focus on competing with yourself.

michelle did look awesome! and Heba really shocked me! i only watched the last half hour so i got to see the finalists weigh in but i missed the voted off contestants. when they panned to Heba i nearly fell off my couch!

The Biggest Loser 6, the family season, ended last night with Michelle Aguilar losing 110 pounds, 45.45 percent of her body weight, and winning the $250,000 prize. She’s the show’s second female winner in six seasons, following Ali’s win last spring.

Second-place Ed Brantley lost 139 pounds, 41.49 percent of his body weight, while Vicky Vilcan came in third after losing 101 pounds and 41.06 percent of her body weight. Ed made it to the finale after viewers voted overwhelmingly—84 percent—for him to join the final three instead of his wife Heba Salama, who viewers rejected for being such a bully. Heba would have won the prize, however, as she lost 138 pounds (46.94 percent of her body weight), earning her the $100,000 at-home prize.

Viewers weren’t happy with Vicky, either, due to her vicious game play. She “has been so widely reviled that she had to change her phone number because she was receiving death threats, and to this day continues to receive letters telling her what a horrible person she is,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
Vicky said, “Most people hate my guts. … I feel bad for the people who are writing those letters. They don’t know me.”

yes I kept saying she needs to put on a bra she has bellyboobs. And the floor was unreal, why would they wax it like that especially with Allison 8 mos pregnant.

It was ALL I could focus on! And the white camisole under the black dress - at one point my husband walked in the room and went "whoa". If someone like my husband notices that someone's boobs are in the wrong place, that's BAD. Doesn't the show have stylists?

I was excited that America voted Ed, but almost felt bad for Heba - you could tell she got her feelings hurt.

I don't think anybody should get death threats for their behavior on a television show, but I do hope Vicky learned something from the experience - how you can go on TV claiming to want to be a role model for your children and then behave the way she did, I just don't understand.

the preview of next season kind of depressed me. the 19 yr old kid who was over 400 lbs made me really sad. i hope he gets to stay on the show for a while just so he gets help getting in shape. and then the shot of the old guy looking like he was having a heart attack! i dont know if i can watch it!

So happy for Michelle and looking forward to the next season. Has anyone seen a preview on Lifetime for a Biggest Loser type show called "Dietribe"? I only saw it once and Lifetime does not have it on their site yet. Looks like it involves a group of 5 overwieght friends going through the weight loss process. All I could find on google was the original casting notice for the show.
