ANTM 9/17: Tyra makes an ugly fairy godmother

Can I say how much I hated the skit with Miss J and Tyra and the apple! That was too corny even for ANTM.

I really didn't like Elina'a red weave at first, but I thought it looked really pretty at panel. I felt so bad for her, it looked like a Bozo the clown wig when her makeover was finished. I would have cried too. Why do they insist on using red weaves anyway? They always end up looking pretty bad, remember the girl whose hair made her cry?

Clark looked much more modely with dark hair, but I think it is too dark. They should have gone with a nice chestnut or mahogany instead of jet black. I think Mckey's dark hair looks roadkill on top of her head. Sheena looks a lot different with highlights, I liked her better darker.

Lauren Brie looks so much like Caridee in her photos. Nigel is right though, she has no presence in person.

I thought the swimsuit photos all looked pretty good. I loved Marjorie's photo the best. She looked just gorgeous. I wish she would show some confidence at panel, she always looks like she's in front of a firing squad.

I agree too - just finished watching it on my DVR. Here are my random observations:

- Clark with dark hair looks like Amanda from BB9

- McKey looks like she took some of the Joker's Smilex, I preferred her with red hair but her photo rocked so hard that I had to almost rethink that opinion.

Marjorie - amazing photo, but they gave her a hard time for not showcasing the suit. I rewound and the photographer MADE her turn her back to him and he was her director this shoot so that shouldn't be held against her.

Elina - like you guys I was worried about her red raggedy ann weave - it looked great in the photo but she's clearly struggling with styling it. I think the dark hair was more striking with her eyes. How weird was that whole "mom hate" scene?

Hannah - Wow - now that was the make over of the week, she looks so much better with the hair. But then at panel Nigel critisized her for being too polished, she was wearing her hair the WAY it was styled at the make over.

Isis - why is she still there? Even Russell questioned her as a model. I know it's stunt casting but it's time to move forward with the real contenders.

And that whole Snow White skit was chokingly awful. Plus - they got princess party bags? I was waiting for pin the horn on the unicorn. Tyra has seriously lost the plot.

Still - Mr. Jay looks good with his new wig. I can't blame him for trotting it out every chance he gets.

Nigel's wife is smoking - I'm jealous. Could their little boy be ANY cuter?

I was really hoping in makeovers that they would do something with the bangs on McKey - they are so huge and heavy, they really bother me. I think she looks good dark, but I did like her red hair also, just not really the shade.

Did they do anything to Lauren Brie? She looks just the same to me and seriously - quit putting highlights and light hair on Asians. It looks so bad and does not do a thing for her skin tones. Mr. Jay thought she looked hooch before - I this this makes her look like she should be dancing around some pole in Vegas. Hate it.

How come they gave Marjorie hell for not showing off the suit, but then Trya did a face shot of Elina - no suit at all. It was a great pic, but it wasn't a swimsuit shot. I kind of like the red hair on her when it is softly curled - but the corkscrew curls they first showed her were terrible.

The thing about the skit that struck me the most? That Mr. Jay could pick up Trya and hold her for that long. That and the fact that her ass looked HUGE at that angle.

Yes, and yet... you couldn't even see Elina's swimsuit and she was picked first. AND no one mentioned this tidbit at all. I hate Tyra sometimes.

That was so random and unexpected. I wonder if a girl who hates her mother can be an easy, breezy, beautiful Cover Girl. Doesn't seem to go with the wholesome, girl-next-door image somehow.

i HATE when tyra does her stupid overacting skits and changes her voice/uses a fake accent! its so annoying. i really only watch the show cause i like seeing the photo shoots & the end results. Makeover episodes are usually my favorites but this one was kinda sucky.

p.s. i LOVE annaleighs hair! i want it for myself!

Tyra is officially too famous for her own good. She has no one around her who will tell her what a fool she looks (but she's nowhere near as famous as she thinks she is!! lol).
