Okay, my thoughts.....
Cloris Leachman was so elegant and beautiful. I can only wish that I could dance like that at 82. She still looked awful and I can aspire to awful.
Rocco had to have pissed somebody off. He wasn't nearly as bad as they said he was.
Jeffrey was pitiful and perhaps the worst dancer they ever have had. I feel so sorry for Edyta.
Susan Lucci was Erica Kane. She barely moved and struggled to stay in control the whole time.
Misty May...those arms. She was much more graceful than I thought she would be, but those arms...
Cody and Juliane were much better than their scores too.
Warren is so huge and I was amazed at how good he was.
Derrick and Brooke were great.
Loved Lance.
Kim looked beautiful and I was shocked at her gracefulness.
Can't remember the others.
I think it was pretty good, but I don't think the quality of the dancers is that good this year.

I thought everyone looked surprisingly good for the first week. I agree, Julie - I totally thought Rocco was way better than the judges said.
A bunch of my guy co-workers are a little bummed today, after realizing that their time to drool over Edyta is limited, given the dancing talent of her partner (lack of it).
Cloris Leachman was very elegant and graceful... while dancing. Afterwards? A train wreck. Yikes. After Len gave her a 5, exclaimed "A 5?? You bitch!" I'm hearing from other people that this was typical behavior for her and most people weren't as stunned as I was by it. I only really know her from the later episodes of Facts of Life, so that tells you how much I know! :blushing:
And can I just say, Tom Bergeron was robbed? He deserved the Emmy for best reality show host. Granted, I don't watch Survivor, but Tom rocks.

I forgot to mention LACEY!!!! She was sooooooooo good with Lance.

I don't know if Jeff is the worst ever; Master P was pretty horrific! However you could see all over Edyta's face that she was really wishing she had Jason Taylor back.
Kim Kardashian was better than I wanted her to be; she drives me crazy!
I also agree, Warren can move for a big guy! Plus he has a great personality so he's going to be around for a while.
And I love Lacey and Lance together; I think they are going to do very very well.

I am officially in love with Cloris Leachman. I almost fell out of my chair in shock (then hysterics) when she yelled "YOU BITCH" at Len!! I can't wait to be old so that when I curse at random strangers, I'll be called "eccentric" instead of "whore."

I am very upset that Jeff was kicked off Dancing with the Stars. I think he should have had another chance. He would have been such an asset with his comedic ability (better than Clois who was obnoxious). He is so sweet and I think he should be compensated for the scratch on his cornea. I am not going to watch this show anymore. It is too upsetting.

I waited till the first elimination to post my thoughts for this season. I'm sorry Jeam O'Roarke for my little joke at your expense. Welcome to the forums.
I am LOVING this season already. There is sooo much going on and it's all fabulous. Now for my take on the dancers....
Lance & Lacey: I think their first dance was awesome, but she's no ballroom dancer and she ruined the quick-step. It's my favorite dance and she doesn't know what she's doing. I expect them to do well with all the spanish dances, but suck ass on ballroom.
Toni & Alec: I hope we don't have to listen to her whine about her heart condition every week. If she's that sick, she shouldn't have joined up. With that said, she has great legs and is very graceful. I think she's gonna go far.
Brook & Derek: Wow!!! They are great to watch. She even wore pants for the cha-cha. That long, flowing white dress for the quick-step was perfect! Their quick-step was dead on and I watched it twice because it was so magical. I agree with the judges, I never expected such good dancing the first week.
Rocco & Katrina: I admit, I'm a Rocco fan. I think he's a smoldering Italian who makes me swoon! Enough of that... their first dance, the fox trot, was awful, but I'll chalk that up to Katrina twisting her ankle just before the show. They redeemed themselves the next night with their Mambo. SMOKIN"! It was cute that Mama was in the routine! He's truly a mama's boy. I want them to stay for awhile.
Maurice & Cheryl: This is a pair that's not going to make it very far. He doesn't have the rhythm it takes for dancing. Maybe they will prove me wrong and I think Cheryl has worn that yellow Mambo costume before.
Kim & Mark: Mark doesn't have it easy this season. Kim is no Kristi!! I don't know why so many people hate her. I think she IS kinda shy & has alot to live up to in the ASSet department. I loved the choice of song they picked for her mambo. It made me laugh. She is just way too nervous and it shows.
Cloris & Corky: She is very funny & really works the crowd. I can only hope to live to be 82, let alone dance at that age. With that said, she needs to go home. She can't dance & this is a dance show, not a Comedy Central roast. At least she leaves Len speechlees.
Cody & Julianne: This pair is "cute" and I like that. I think we need some young blood. They really look like they are having fun when they dance and he did a great job with the quick-step. I hope they stick around. I like watching them.

Susan & Tony: Tony never gets a winner to dance with. I'm totally disappointed with Susan Lucci. I was really expecting more from her. Maybe I thought she was going to be like Dr. Quinn. She's no Dr. Quinn.
Misty May & Maksim: I am soooo happy that Maks is back! They have teamed him with the perfect partner. They are great together. I love the way she performs and I get a kick out of their training segments. She did a great job with both of her dances, but her mambo was better than her fox trot. I have to admit that I watch Maks alot.
Ted & Inna: She's new to the show and she's got a difficult task. Ted is the epitamy of "White Men Can't Dance". God bless him, he really tries, but the poor guy's not going to be on the show long. At least it adds character to his resume.
Warren & Kym: He is just a joy to watch. He is just having so much fun and it really shows. I loved his purple suit last night and I really enjoyed his quick-step.Kim is a good match for him. He reminds me of my kid, not Matt, but Justin. I'm looking forward to watching him dance every week. What a teddy bear!
Jeff & Edyta: I am totally pissed that Edyta got teamed with Jeff. She has been on every season. She is my favorite pro dancer & now I won't be seeing her this year. WTF! How can we have DWTS without Edyta's scantly-clad body enticing her partners? I know she poked Jeff in the eye & hhe never got out of the gate, but he wasn't going very far to begin with. It's just not fair and I'm going to miss her talent this year. (well, we have orange-skinned Cheryl still!)

Jeff, you're not fooling anyone. We know it's you.
I will miss Edyta's collection of legwarmers. :(

No I am not his mom although I am old enough. You people on this forum are very disrespectful. I hope Jeff gets a lot of publicity; he deserves it as his talents are wasted in this phony dance show. People do not vote for the dancing talent just popularity as was shown in previous seasons. chooch I hope I got that right are you male or female or homo?

I did apologize for my remark & I was sincere. As for a popularity contest, yes it is to some degree, but nothing like on "American Idol". You really have to know how to dance to win this show, as can be proven by the previous winners. That's not true on "Idol". I also agreed that Jeff was robbed of his chance because of his injury, but it was apparent that he was going to be one of the first to go. I'm upset that Cloris didn't go tonight. I don't know if I can deal with her another week.
As for male, female or homo?
All of the above!

You people on this forum are very disrespectful.
How? Because we joke? And BECAUSE WE EVEN APOLOGIZE (and by "we" I mean chooch) for being funny????
Please provide examples of this disrespect of which you speak.
And with all due respect, I still think you're Jeff. :D

Loved the dancing this week. Jeff I agree was not going to do all that well. Yes he is very funny but not a good dancer. He did all right last night though. Cloris really needs to go but she does make me laugh.
I was sad to see Ted go. He was charming. Susan Lucci is a disappointment. I hope that changes.
I really like them all especially brooke and boy Rocco was hot doing his Mambo but still not as hot as Maks.
that is my two cents

Katmandu - I could have written your post word for word! I didn't much care for Rocco after his first dance but after the mambo??? YUM! I am so glad Maks is back, too (as is my husband even though he doesn't watch the show) :infatuated:
I had expected much more from Susan Lucci. She needs to make pretend she's Erica Kane dancing I think. Cloris is completely annoying. I tried to cut her slack but after 2 shows I can't stomach her anymore.
