I don't know why, but this "game" cracks me up. Start a new post and press Ctrl-V on your keyboard which will paste the last thing you copied on your computer into the post. Then explain what it is or why you copied it. Stupid? Yes! Dorky? Sure! Superduper fun? Hopefully! Here's mine:

Massholes

Okay, that was dumb! It's from B-Side's recent clipgasm (http://www.tvgasm.com/archives/clipgasm/002619.php). I didn't know what it meant (my brain was going in a completely different direction) so I looked it up on urbandictionary.com. (Because of another post, I had to look up FIBs, too, and I'm still fuming about that, being from Illinois and all! If it wasn't for FIBs/tourists buying all their crappy cheese and visiting their stupid water parks, Wisconsin would have an even crappier economy than they already do. )

Ok, I said to myself, "This is retarded," but I was curious. So here goes:

"he uoted like 8 aragraphsd of the aprts"

What's that mess you ask? Well, true fans of TVgasm would immediately recognize the handiwork of one Mr. EdHill. Last night he and and were GMail IM'ing, it was late, he was on his laptop, and he was in a hurry. That confluence of events led to the horrible spelling/syntax of the above.

Turns out, some guy from some show EdHill's recapping emailed him to tell him he did a great job and he loved the recaps. And, as Ed tried in vain to convey above, "He quoted like 8 paragraphs of the parts" which still only barely makes sense. So I copied it and replied with it quoted with, I'm sure, some dickish snipe.

Now you know what it's like when he's tired and in a hurry. That's a game unto itself!

08-11-2006, 05:39 PM
I didn't even have to read the rest of that one. This is indeed retarded and EdHill is also what's known as "borderline retarded". He likes to blame it on the hunting accident and only having 3 fingers and all, but I think we all know it's his other "handicap" that contributes to the nightmare that is his typing. ;) ;) ;)

Ok, I read the rest. I LOVE that game, but he always says "Go ahead and laugh missy..." then ranks on me. Good times AND great oldies!

I'm recapping the last episode of Treasure Hunters, and normally I make fun of Team Geniuses for being nerds. This week I've upped it and am doing a whole Trekkie thing on them. Charles was the one team member selected to do a task, and I loved that he was wearing a red shirt, but a lot of people might not get the joke so I linked to the above article to explain it.

That's just plain mean. Between nic75 and whoever's hating my "retarded" but harmless thread, I'm gettin' a little angry over here. Whoever voted... bite me.

TL: I started reading your blog but my eyeballs gave out before I got very far (old contacts). I bookmarked it, though, so I can come back to it. I didn't see a red shirt reference... is that in an upcoming post? Or were you refering to a different site?

BY: it's scary that you don't know what that is. Looks like a password!

TG: You must not have copied anything on your computer since your last reboot. Sorry it didn't work. Sometimes it's actually entertaining seeing what other people have copied.

Mine was so long I won't bother subjecting you guys to the whole thing. It was from one of those chain emails where you answer questions about yourself and then pass it along to others to torture them with it. This one was a little different in that it asked you to list 4 things to each question, such as jobs you have had, places you have lived, movies you could watch over and over, places you have vacationed etc. Oh, and 4 websites you visit daily - I had a really hard time answering that one, haha!

Here is some information for next week's Caseware Training - if you are not scheduled to attend the training next week you can disregard this email:

Where is this meeting? The Knowledge Development Center, located at Valencia Enterprises, 2411 Sand Lake Road, 407-582-6653

Where should I park? This is just a normal parking lot - just be sure to mark in a space marked Valencia.

Which meeting room are we using? When you enter you will need to go in through the front of the building and check in at the security desk - let them know you are there for the McGladrey meeting. They will direct you to your room number.

What should I bring?

- Bring your notepad and a pen
- Bring your laptop with all it's accessories (cables, mouse,
ten-key, etc.)
- If you are prone to being cold at long off-site meetings, you
might want to bring a sweater.

Will there be food at this meeting? Most definitely. We will be providing continental breakfast in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and an afternoon snack. There will also be beverage service throughout the day.

What time does the meeting start? The meeting will begin each day at 8:00 a.m., breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting will conclude each day at 6:00 p.m.

I hope this covers everything - but if there is anything I missed, please feel free to let me know.

^---That was from a meeting that I am organizing - I send out these little info emails for every meeting to cover any questions our peeps would normally bombard me with.

I don't know a long version to this story . . . all I remember is it was a beautiful spring evening (64 degrees, slight northwest wind at 7 mph) and we came upon the 6th hole
(168 yard par 3, two sand traps to the right side, trees to the left. I pulled out my 6 iron (TaylorMade rac OS, stiff rifle shaft, Lamkin dual density grips) teed up my ball
(Titelist ProV1, number 4, two black dots above the second "t" and a red "L" on the right of the serial number). I started my backswing (wearing black Dockers, red Adidas golf shirt, white Ashworth wind vest in my Dri-Joy shoes) and then . . the golf Gods took over. The orb took a perfect arc on its destination to immortality. It retuned from its majestic journey 7 feet from the hole, bounced twice and rolled slowly into the bottom of the cup. Once I saw the ball had fallen in I turned to the other members of my foursome who were jumping up and down and came over to hug me and said "Did that actually go in?" We finished the rest of the front side and went in to the clubhouse.

Wow . .do not know how that got there.

WWE is saddened to learn of the death of WWE Hall of Famer “Sensational” Sherri. She was 49.

In the early 1980s, Sherri began her career in the AWA. In 1985, she defeated Candi Devine to become the AWA Women’s Champion. Their rivalry lasted more than a year with the championship trading hands on several occasions.

It was during this time that she began perfecting her skills as a manager, leading “Playboy” Buddy Rose and “Pretty Boy” Doug Somers to the AWA Tag Team Championship. On June 28, 1986, Martel would win the AWA Women’s Championship for a third and final time from Candi Devine.

On July 24, 1987, “Sensational” Sherri debuted in WWE, pinning her trainer and mentor the Fabulous Moolah to become Women’s Champion. Sherri defended the gold against Debbie Combs, Velvet McIntyre, and Desiree Peterson.

She quickly earned the reputation as someone who would do anything to win, even if it meant using unsavory tactics. Her rivalry with Moolah continued as they became the captains for the first-ever female Survivor Series teams in 1989. Sherri held the championship for 15 months before losing to Rockin’ Robin.

In the early ‘90s WWE phased out the Women’s Division, leaving Sherri to focus on managing the male wrestlers. Her first client was “Macho Man” Randy Savage. It was during this time that she became “Sensation Queen.”

The couple had rivals with Miss Elizabeth, Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire. In 1991, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase enlisted her services. After that relationship dissolved, she took on the managerial duties of Shawn Michaels.

In 1994, Sherri appeared in WCW as “Sensuous” Sherri managing Ric Flair during his rivalries with Sting and Hulk Hogan. After separating from Flair, she became “Sister” Sherri guiding Harlem Heat to seven WCW Tag Team Championships.

Sherri was enshrined in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006. “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase was her presenter.

I was posting that on another site about the death of Sensational Sherri

Okay tonyagasm I am perplexed.
I kinda step on egg shells around you and I guess now I know why?

This is a quote I placed elsewhere in the forii--- nothing important.

"We've been the dominant interactive player in the ‘home' and ‘food' categories for some time now. By focusing even more on the consumer and the online user experience - much in the way Recipezaar does - we believe we can broaden our reach and deepen our relationship with the consumer in these categories as well as other aspects of lifestyle," said John Lansing, president of Scripps Networks. "This is a great first step toward our plan to rapidly expand our revenue base from interactive media."

I sounds like a world take over huh?

Well, we know you didn't write it, but you did find it interesting enough to repost it somewhere. And that's why people walk on eggshells around you or don't know how to take you. Personally, I think you just like stirring things up and then sitting back and watching what happens with a big Cheshire Cat grin on your face. So here's my take on it... I'm sure the author of that post thinks he made some good points but I think he's confusing race with ethnicity and nationality, which just proves his ignorance and stupidity.

If this is the case, can somebody generate an addendum that looks similar to the first one, but with an August 16th end date. If my calculations (by that I mean ‘looking at the calendar’) are correct, this will be for 12 days at $50/hr.

A completed evaluation form and a brief written project report are due to ****** on the Intern's final day. This project report is the Intern's opportunity to summarize and assess his/her experience while at ******, as well as to characterize how s/he intends to apply the new skills or knowledge during the second half of the internship. Project reports and evaluation forms may be shared with ****** staff, as appropriate.

Wow, BORING! I copied this so I could paste it into an e-mail to send to my little interns. They will be here until August 10 and I wanted to get a head start in reminding them they have to write a report. Pirate Master--CBS will burn off the remaining five episodes online, with a new one every Tuesday (good choice, since the show flopped on Thursdays and died on Mondays).

I'm so sorry Tink... it seems wierd that this show is so bad they will not even finish it... OMG have we EVER heard of this before???? Mark Burnett crashed and burned on this flotilla.

If you click on the Recaps tab on the website - my newest recap is the 4th or 5th one down. Guess it won't matter anymore. I mean if only 3 people were watching the show when it was on TV how many are going to take the trouble to watch it online?

Well, I am! I'm addicted to this damned show! If you're not going to recap it anymore, let's live chat about it on aim or something. Hmm, I wonder if my computer could handle both.

Farmington is a 14-room Federal-style home that was the center of the 19th-century hemp plantation of John and Lucy Speed. Designed from a plan by Thomas Jefferson and completed in 1816 using slave labor, the house is newly restored with original paint colors, historic wallpaper and carpets, and furnished with Kentucky furniture and other antiques from the period. Abraham Lincoln, a close friend of John Speed's son Joshua, spent about three weeks at Farmington in 1841.

No house in Kentucky more gracefully embodies Federal architecture than Farmington. Striking Jeffersonian features of its perfectly proportioned 14 rooms include two octagonal rooms, the adventurously steep and narrow "hidden" stairway, and the fanlights between the front and rear halls. Exquisite reeded doorways, carved mantels, and marbleized baseboards add special elegance to the interior. Most of the structure, including the woodwork, glass and brass, in original and still in excellent condition.

The present 18-acre site also includes an elaborate early 19th century garden, stone springhouse and barn, cook's quarters and kitchen, blacksmith shop, museum store, and remodeled carriage house which may be rented for special events.

I'm so bored with banning spammers that I've given up giving them a reason. I tried to come up with some funny ones, but the best I could do was you're ugly and your mama dresses you funny. But knowing that these idiots probably will never even try to log in here again, so they'll never see my reason for banning them, I lost interest in the game.

The JIB for the ROTD (AS35030.04) calls for 5 screws, however, spec 09-0309 only indicates a need for 3 screws. Also, the JIB calls for using a squaring device. On the conference calls we had the week of 8/13, this was identified as an optional activity. Any clarity on this matter will be appreciated.

Yet some solutions are more effective than others. “Segmentary societies” and such “inclusive hierarchies” as lineages, clans, and tribes into which they often coalesce may thus be the most cybernetically “natural” types of system formation, and so the types from which “first” arose (Luhmann, 1990: 428). They nevertheless contain a “latent possibility for asymmetry” or stratification which they must devote considerable energy to suppress. Quite often, they succeed; sometimes not. “Functionally differentiated” societies – modern societies – are in contrast, liberated from such socio-libidinal policing. They devote themselves instead to the technical control of the environment and the “negation of negation” (1990: 434; ef. Luhmann, 1998 [1992]; and 1980: 162-234).

I.m working on a paper about Social Theory and Anthropology...its just as fun to read and write about as it appears in the above blurb
