Shane's ensemble was horrid- and the hair! Is that what quitting smoking does to you? It was an awesome finale! I might even have to watch The Early Show tomorrow to see the check presentation!:p

Thats exactly what I said to my family tonight - Shane looks like Angus from AC/DC. First I thought a crazed catholic school boy (Jack Black) but then Angus Young popped in my head - Shane was so fun on this edition of Survivor - thank god for him and his wooden blackberry!! And Cirie looked beautiful...

I cant wait to talk about the end of this show when I wont spoil it for anyone!!! Till the morning....

Haha Jelliepair, when I saw Shane the first thing that popped into my head was Jack Black from School of Rock as well... Cirie did look stunning, and I'm so-ooo glad she won the car. Those two are why I loved this season so much. Ugh, I can't wait to discuss the finale! None of my friends watch it and my mom went to bed right after it was over so I've had no one to gossip with... :(

I wanted Cirie to win so bad!:( I couldn't help but last night I had to google for spoilers, I couldn't wait any longer. Watching it tonight, I just couldn't help but hope everything was wrong and Cirie really would win. Too Bad! I read that she did win a car, I couldn't find where to vote on CBS.com, but then I didn't know about voting until late last night.

Aww, Cirie didn't win. It was a nice finale, the reunion made me laugh. Good thing they devoted a big chunk of the reunion show to Cirie's awesomeness :D Now can she be on the next season of the Amazing Race? :)

Uh... you guys were suppose to use the thread to discuss the finale when it aired on the East Coast... hence, the spoiler alert for the west coast. ;-)

Highlights:

1) Danielle builds fire faster and wins the Tie Breaker Fire Challenge. Cirie loses. :( America mourns.

2) Terry wins reward... blah...

3) Danielle wins F3 immunity. Huh?

4) Aras blackmails Danielle into F2.

5) Danielle votes out "Terri" in favor of taking "Aris" to F2.

6) Medical Emergency Part 2: Call the Wah-bulance! Aras falls down on a champagne glass and cuts his back and wrist.

7) Courtney = crazy + crazy + crazy. Ah, yes, Courtney's speech was what we all expected from her and THEN some!

8) Shane = bitter + awesome. And the reward to Sue Hawk Speech Award goes to Shane! Perfect mix of bitterness and crazyness.

9) Aras wins! Votes 2 to 5 in favor ot Aras.

10) If Danielle choose Terry to take to F2, she still loses. haha! You lose either way!

11) Cirie wins a car! ::standing ovation:: Though it would've been more fun to have buried the key in barrel of leaves and told her to find it.

All and all, not a bad 3 hours. Since I'm not a fan of Terry's, I'm satisfied of the results. :rolleyes:

LMAO! Nice re-cap. I love love loved how Danielle was screwed either way. She definitely didn't deserve to win, but I'm glad she had the loyalty/decency to take Aras to the final 2. Courtney's speech was definitely above and beyond what I expected, even from her. There's always room in Survivor to cram in a little more crazy, even at the very end! :) Oh, there's so much more I'd like to comment on... but I'll wait til the morning when I'm rested and coherent...

here's my one concern (although I'm happy with the outcome). Why didn't Danielle just tank the final challenge? She knew that Terry would have taken her to final two, and Aras would have as well? Why out the target on her head when she was golden to go? Granted -she wouldn't have won either way, but she would have been in the same position. Did you guys notice that they spent more time talking to Cirie and Shane at the reunion than Aras or Danielle?

Yeah, wasn't this where we were supposed to talk about it? After all the "I don't want to spoil it's" I got a little freaked. Course people put spoilers in the other thread so, maybe I just don't get it.

Glad Cerie won the car. She did look lovely last night. But when she came out on the jury for the first time it looked like she joined the "Ladies of the Night" cult with the others. I realized this must be some sort of reaction to deprivation of shiny things and face paint. They go a little overboard when they get back to civilization.

I love when they were voting, and Courtney was STILL pissing off Shane! She may be a little nuts, but I have to say, I like her.

After the disappointment of Cirie losing, it was nice to have a couple of moments to cheer when Terry fell off the platform and again when Danielle chose Aras.
While I was disappointed in Aras in the way he kept harping on to Danielle, I was still happy he won. I have no problem with telling someone that if you don't take me, you lose my vote and that of my friend. But say it once, say it as nicely as you can say a threat, and leave it at that.
He also took a big chance in the final immunity. NEVER give it up if you don't have to. There are never any guarantees. And Zoobabe two posts up, that's your answer to why she didn't tank it. If Aras thought he had a better chance winning against Terry for whatever reason, he could well have taken him.

And finally Shane. Crazy, bitter Shane. He was great at tribal council, but in twelve seasons nobody has ever been able to hold a candle to Sue Hawk who still has the distinction of the best final speech ever.

Tabby- I see your point, but there's NO way that Aras would have taken Terry to the final two. He knew that he had a better chance of beating Danielle. Danielle's reasoning for taking Aras to the final two was a good one though. I'm glad Jeff polled the jury so she knew that she wouldn't have won either way.

I was disappointed that both Courtney and Shane did not rant and rave more. Shane was pretty good (loved the pick-a-number) but I was hoping for more bitterness at Tribal just for the entertainment value. And I was surprised that Bruce voted for Danielle, I would have thought him to be an Aras guy.

After Terry lost the Immunity Challenge, I was all about Aras winning over chick-lit teeth. She did not deserve to win and even though Aras was a faux hawk wearing new age mamas boy, I preferred him over her. (Plus there is the $250 my hubby would win in his work pool when Aras came out on top).

I loved Cirie but didnt think she'd make it to the final two. She would have been a shoo-in if she did because people just liked her and saw her as the ultimate underdog. I couldnt believe that Terry didnt do better on the balance challenge but still think he was a great survivor.

Who made the comment about Aras being homeless and living off his parents (Shane? Terry?). That was quite possibly the best of the season!

It was Shane who called out Aras on being a freeloader. He also said that if 'intentions worked he would be President of the Planet'....oh lord help us if Shane ever ruled the world.

Both Aras and Danielle proved, again that they are dumber than a box of hammers. Obviously not math majors. The only right pick for Aras would have been 500,000. But the doofus picked 4. After Aras did that Danielle's smartest move would've been, wait for it, it's a tough one.....5. At least she picked 10, but if Shane's # had been 5 or 6 she'd be out. Picture me, screaming "Five hundred thousand, you imbecile!!!" at my TV. But who trusts Shane anyway? That's the great thing about pick a number, you get to switch it to whatever suits your agenda. Time for me to stop thinking about this and proceed with the real world. Is CT Paula still crazy and anorexic?

I'll save my "A" material to post off the recap, but is it just me or were Aras and Danielle the blandest, least interesting people on the entire cast? Since neither did anything impressive other than successfully playing the numbers game, neither really had anything interesting to say. I really liked preppy Shane. I decided he might actually be cool after all.

I didn't think Aras was bland. That last reward challenge was exciting to watch, and he flat out THREATENED Danielle so she's take him to the finals. Plus- he slipped on rocks and cut himself open! Plus, he rocked a faux-hawk all season long an admitted how lame it was.

Danielle's boobs alone make her un-bland to me. Even though I'm a hetero chick, those things were impressive!

B-side will be a teeny bit late to the party with his recap. We had a rocking good time over at madeyoulaugh's watching the whole thing in high definition. We should have recaps of the show and the reunion later this morning. And about 100x more people are going to read the comment in the recap vs. the thread in the forum, so don't worry about repeating yourself. But anyway, GREAT FINALE.

Ok, I guess of Danielle and Aras, I prefer Aras. Danielle will always have the Playboy spread to get her extra dough.

Why are we usually denied the best players at the end? Terry and Cirie in the final two would have been an interesting scenario.

Let's face it, Terry dominated the challenges down the stretch and Cirie was really in control of the mental aspect of the game. The fact that Aras and Danielle made it to the final two proves only that they leeched off the right people (mostly Cirie).

At least they were honest about that one...

Just listened to Danielle on Paul and Young Ron morning show here in South Florida, and she confirmed that Terry has made several comments on the show regarding the general weakness of women versus men. Thus prompting the comment by Aras. Apparently they just didn't show any of it on the show.

Tell ya what, this chick has a lot to say about a lot of people. They asked her about Shane, Courtney, etc, and she was just mumbling stuff under her breath, doing her best to not let anything out. I have no doubt that if you get a couple drinks in her, she'll spill it all. I'll have to keep me eye out for her at the Elbo Room here in Lauderdale to get all the dirt.

I was a Terry fan because of his awesome physical abilities, but I wouldn't want to hang around him. What a puffed up toad he is.

I liked all of the contestants this year, for the most part. COurtney was a nutbag, but how fun! I'd totally be her friend, if for no other reason than comic relief.

Aras started growing on me over the last couple of shows- geez, get me the antibiotics! I laughed so hard when he fell. I definitely think the champagne went to his head, and apparently his feet.

Shane looked so goofy in his get-up. What a poser- I LOVE it!!

Oh how I would love to be earsurfing when Danielle spills her guts about her tribemates. The look on her face when she realized that she never had a chance against any of the final 4 was painful. Could she be a Tawny Kitaen in the making?
