View Full Version : cancelled
Shows that you miss that were was cancelled.
Thought of this because of jampony saying she missed La Femme Nikita, I loved that show.
Right now I'll just put down Firefly because I was watching my Serenity dvd earlier.

That's an excellent choice.
Vengeance Unlimited (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158421/) with Michael Madsen. Severely unappreciated.
Wonderfalls (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361256/). It was wonderful.
Strange Luck (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112182/) with the beautiful D.B. Sweeney.
Keen Eddie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0318390/). Oooooh, Eddie, how I miss you.

I'll never forgive NBC for cutting that show, bastards!

Firefly to me was an entertaining misfire. the juxtaposition of old west and sci fi was jarring and didnt really work. still it had intresting characters and that Joss Whedon humor.
Long live Buffy. I still can't believe she walked away from that show to make shitty horror movies.
They should've hired the original buffy to take her place and kept on going.

I think that would have ended the show with a slow painful death. But how long is SMg going to play Daphne? And poorly.

I really miss Buffy. I haven't found such a well-written show since.
I really miss Buffy. I haven't found such a well-written show since.
Me too. But I have to say that the show was headed downhill, especially after the move to UPN. The best years were prior to Angel being spun-off, and the loss of Cordelia and Angel.

I really hope showtime picks it up, there were some rumors. I just don't think Mitchell Hurwitz wanted to continue

Hello Tvgasm Message Board
I miss A Different World I know it comes on Nickolodeon but I want it to come back on stations such as TBS or WGN and The WB. A few Summers back I was hooked on this Soap called Sunset Beach and then they took it off the AIr and I want it to come back. That was the shows that I loved watching.

NBC are idiots by not picking up the show and matching it with Earl and The Office.

Strangers with Candy, anyone?
So politically incorrect... So good. :(
Arrested Development ; ;
Yea, I loved this one too.
I didn't really like Invasion till the end, I would have liked to see what would have happened if it had a second season.
the juxtaposition of old west and sci fi was jarring and didnt really work. Well it worked for me, and i'm usually not into any type of old western themed show or movie.
I loved Buffy up until Spike went and fell in love with her, that just killed it for me. I still watched it from time to time but it didn't really piss me off if i missed an episode or anything.

I'm posting this here because this thread has the most whedon love than the others. There's this chick who does the Avon Breast Cancer Walk every year and she's raising funds for this year's event. One of the ways she does that is by stalking celebrities and asking them to sign a little "thank you for your donation" card and to pose with an Avon teddy bear. She takes a picture and then auctions it all off on yahoo. This batch of pictures is mostly made up of people from the whedonverse and some from "How I Met Your Mother" (more to come, though, like Viggo Mortensen, Tim Burton and Naveen Andrews).
This (http://www.lisawalks.com/ptb2006)is a list of all her pix, but this (http://auctions.yahoo.com/s:Auctions:0;_ylt=AiBcFRH92FsMK2nkxlsOAWOtghUB?use rID=lisaspoavonwalk&view=grid)is the current auction. Anyway, here's the part that I'm all curious about. Anthony Stewart Head is pulling in more money than Nathan Fillion and they're both making more than Joss Whedon?!? I'm astounded. I mean, ASH is cute and all, and Nathan's got that great butt, but if I'm gonna be hanging a picture of any man above my bed, it's gonna be the brilliant and sexy Joss. Am I right? I'm right, right? Helllooooo?

Good call - I loved both of those shows. You can still catch eps of Wonderfalls on Logo from time to time. It definitely died before it's time.

I hated how Buffy and Angel ended. I'm not sure what would have been better though.

See, I was in lust with Spike - so seeing Spike get action was always fun for me. Even if it was with Buffy, have I mentioned I loved the show Buffy but hated the character of Buffy?

Excellent cause. Don't forget that ASH is better known than Nathan, and actors get more glory than directors/writers/producers.

"It's Like, You Know..." 1999 - 1999
I LOVED this show and especially an episode about a car chase in LA and how the city stops to watch it on TV...
Post nose job Jennifer Grey basically playing herself was too funny.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Paradise Hotel - but that was an addiction of mine a few summers ago. Though, I'm not sure it would be as good without that cast. It was such a Good v. Evil cast.
If they ever brought it back they'd need to bring Charla back. She was my Janelle of that summer.

Yeah I have a huge dislike of JLH - so it was just another reason to dislike her. And as for Wentworth - yeah that seemed like it was building to a big battle of Good v. Evil (kinda like when Buffy would go up against one of the many Big Bads). I was really eager to see how it played out.
PS: Cute new avatar and congrats on the 1000+ posts!

I am glad others have the same dislike of JLH- or "Pinhead" as I call her. As was appalled that she played Audrey Hepburn in her life story.
The show I miss most was Andy Richter Controls the Universe. Very funny show, I think it was on Fox for less then a season.

I have always had a girl crush on Audrey Hepburn - so out of respect for her I boycotted the travesty of a movie. JLH isn't remotely in the same class.

Is it the Gap that's using Audrey in one of their skinny pants commercials? I don't know why, but I'm slightly offended by that one. Like when they used Bogart and Bacall in a commercial years ago... don't mess with the classics, people!

I'm totally offended by the new Gap commercial w/Audrey Hepburn. What dumbass thought Audrey Hepburn dancing to AC/DC would make you want to buy black pants? :glare:

I feel like the target audience for those pants probably wouldn't know who Audrey is - and those who know who she is would be offended. It's puzzling. :confused1:

The Job- Denis Leary's original Rescue Me. It was great, too edgy for ABC I guess.
I also loved Homicide and rued the day it ended. Doesn't get much better than Pembleton. Which brings me to another great Andre Braugher show. Thief on FX. I know the whole deal about Katrina shutting down production on it, but that was a great little show.
OH MY GOD! How can I forget NBC's Kingpin? Loved it, loved it. Bought the DVD. Again, I guess too edgy for Network TV. Drugs, manrapes, Chato will take you... Great stuff. Should have transitioned to FX or HBO/SHO or something.

 The show I'm going to miss is Deadwood. Any show with a whore named Trixie is the show for me. It was also well written, extremely well-acted, and had such complicated storylines that I felt smart when I could figure out what the hell was going on. The cocksuckers at HBO say they're going to make two more whore-mongering movies, but I'll believe it when I fucking see it. (sorry for all the cursing, I just watched the finale)

I hope that they wrap up some story lines with the movies. I hate it when they leave things hanging.
