I actually just read only a week or two ago that Navarro made out with Tommy Lee as well. Maybe he just likes to makeout.
Clooney- well, what can ya say about Clooney? He is the most gorgeous slab of man-meat in Hollywood. He is my generations Rock Hudson/ Carey Grant. I LOVE HIM!

I have to add that it is a welcome relief to know that I am not the only person here completely obsessed with celebrity culture.
I am truly a freak about this. If I could have focused the energy into my career that I focus into my knowledge of all things celebrity related, i would be a gazillionaire.
My husband and his friends go to a bar where there is trivia on Thursdays (simply because it's nearby and they have huge microbrews cheap). I can always guarantee at least three phonecalls from them on Thursdays.

derder-I'm right there with you. I know if any of my friends or family were ever to be on "Who Wants to be A MIllionaire" I would be a lifeline simply for pop culture. Oh, I have a college degree & all that jazz, but for some reason I'm much better at remembering completely useless tv show, movie, & celebrity facts.

me, too, me, too! It's easier to rem'br some of this stuff, than say, the nuances of the different ethnic groups in Iraq & why they war so often. I try 2 keep tabs on political stuff of importance but it certainly dsn't come to mind as easily as the random celeb stuff. I rem'br stuff like 'ths actor played ths small role in that other movie' or 'he grew up in' or 'was married to' or 'i think he has X kids'.

Even w/ movies or TV shows i haven't seen, i'll have a good idea of who won Amer. Idol or Survivor or who's on BB (but that's fr reading these threads & mention of names here or there, i've never watched any of those shows). I have a good memory in general, will remember stories friends tell me about their friends, so it definitely extends to celebs.

nope, u're definitely not alone in pursuit of celeb gossip, it's an element of human nature! & we're not the only country that does it, the British are infamous for it! But they're also particularly more brutal about it---whereas we definitely admire some of our stars, they don't seem to at all, only reporting on the truly bad, personal stuff. & gleefully report it!

i keed, i keed!

i don't know if thedave's gay or not. does "experimenting" with guys count?

Experimentation definitely doesn't count, I don't think. I experimented with girls in College, and I am most definitely not gay. (Although, my husband is convinced that men who experiment are gay, women who experiment aren't)- he has a few double-standards.
I also think that kissing a couple of people doesn't exactly qualify as experimentation. I think these guys do it for shock value, more than anything.

That reminds me of the part in Chasing Amy where Jason Lee says he doesn't buy girl on girl action because deep down inside all anybody wants is a good deep dicking. I don't know why it reminds me but it does....

And yay for all of us! We have found a place where we are no longer judged for our useless pop culture knowledge. Bask in our awesomeness!

BTW my friends and I play trivia every monday night and I too am the go to girl for dumb pop culture stuff and I was always okay with it until one day when there was a countdown question (as in the more clues given the less points you win) and the first clue was "This person was born on December 19, 1980"...it was Jake and I ran up with our answer and we got 20 points...i've never been more embarrassed.

no, your husband has it right. although i hear from a coworker that it doesn't count if you're in prison, because then "you're just doing what you gotta do to get by." how he knows that, i'm afraid to ask.

The third condition is in times of war (as far as doing what is necessary to get by) at least according to Sassoon and Graves.

Well, not for some of us. I'm old enough to remember Rock Hudson and Cary Grant...and to have LOVED them. I own many of their movies, and those are among my favorites to re-watch over and over again! But George Clooney does nothing for me, never has.

And, erm, I have to take exception to the 'doing what is necessary' mindset.
Sex is lovely, but it isn't 'necessary'. I just don't think that people are animals unless they choose to be. Everyone gets horny sometimes, but it's not like a man (or woman's) body is going to be harmed by allowing those feelings/urges to actually pass without acting on them (particularly with someone of the gender to which you are not normally attracted, or to someone to whom you are not involved (ie: having an affair)).

I'm totally unconvinced that McConaughey and Armstrong are gay. They are just acting like overgrown frat boys - they happen to be single at the same time, and they both have plenty of money to do all the guy things they want without any other responsibilities to distract them.

Of course, if I somehow missed the serious evidence in this matter, I would love to see it - anyone?

Cheer up, Jampony! Just because an actor is "pretty" doesn't mean he is gay. Look at Jude Law, he couldn't be any prettier, and no one ever accuses him of being gay! An out of control horndog, yes. Gay, no.

Back to the are they or aren't they gay convo... I had a friend who swore Matt Mc was gay because of that naked bongo playing thing. There was also a guy in the house while he was doing it, but then again, that plays into the frat boy kinda mentality. Heck, the frat boys take showers together, so then again, maybe EVERY frat boy is gay?? :huh2:

I'm still pretty sure that Tom Cruise is. I was told that many years ago (before Nicole) and it was from a reliable source.

2006 -- PARIS Hilton's career as a pop star is fizzling as quickly as one of her blink-and-you'll-miss-it relationships.
In its first week out of the gate, Hilton's first CD is being widely seen as a certified flop. "Paris," which features the single "Stars Are Blind," sold a lackluster 75,000 copies in the United States - a pittance compared to Christina Aguilera's first-week sales of 320,000, according to Soundscan.

And projected sales for next week are said to be a measly 30,000, which is a larger than normal second week drop.

"Paris" is languishing at the bottom of Billboard's Hot 100 - so Hilton's label rushed out her second single, "Turn It Up," which isn't doing very well either.

"The international outlook is not much better for her," one industry source told Page Six. "The international people are not inclined to do a big push since she can't back up the album with a tour. Obviously, she can't sing live."

The source added that Hilton was advised a year ago to train her voice, work with choreographers and learn an instrument to prepare for a limited tour, but "obviously she didn't listen."

Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, said, "To me, [the album] sounds huge. For a newcomer, this is incredibly impressive."

Meanwhile, Hilton's reputation as a dirty girl put one of her former sex partners on edge after they'd been to bed together.

Elijah Blue Allman, the hunky son of Cher and Gregg Allman, boasted to Howard Stern the other day that he had a fling with Hilton before she was famous - but he got nervous right afterward that he might have picked up a sexually transmitted disease from her. Allman says he was so worried, he raced downstairs and grabbed a household cleaning product to pour over his private parts and "disinfect" them.

While Stern flipped over the tawdry tale, aired over his Sirius Satellite Radio raunchfest show, Hilton wasn't thrilled with the disclosure. "She's not happy about it," said a source, despite the fact Allman tried to lessen the low blow by noting she was a "sweet girl" nonetheless.

derder, loved the Paris article. I'm so sick of her going on & on about how serious of an artist she is & how hard she works, & all the public sees is her "persona" she puts on as a front & that no one knows the real her. I think she doth protest too much! Right now Jessica Simpson's "Public Affair" sounds like a classic compared to "Stars Are Blind." And I hate that I have heard either one. Put this right up with K-Fed who is now going to be a "serious actor" because his album flopped. All 3 of these talentless wannabes need to just go away.

Paris Hilton is releasing her album Paris on Tuesday, though for the 25-year-old hotel heiress, socialite and star of The Simple Life, making music is nothing new, she reveals.

"When I was little," she tells Blender magazine for its September issue, she was forced to practice piano, violin and guitar "every day ... since I was 11. My mom made me."

All the practice seems to have paid off: Of her new album, she tells the magazine: "I, like, cry, when I listen to it, it's so good."

Already, her breathy, reggae-infused single "Stars Are Blind" has climbed to the top of Billboard's dance music chart, and her producers are waxing enthusiastic about how hard-working Hilton is.

"She would sit for hours and not ask for a break, and she never gave me one bit of attitude," says Kara DioGuardi, who worked on three tracks with Hilton (and whose credits include Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me").

Hilton says she had DJs at clubs play cuts from the album without revealing the artist, to test reactions.

"People go crazy," she says. "They love it. Everyone's like, 'Who is this?' I don't tell. Because I don't want someone putting their phone up and recording it and making a ring tone off of it. I think when people don't know it's me, they won't judge it. But if they know it's me, then they'll be like, 'Ugh.' They won't even dance."

Hilton, who recently told British GQ magazine that she was taking a vow of chastity for a year ("I'll kiss, but nothing else"), also tells Blender that she's just a girl who can't say no – when it comes to the constant attention from fans asking for pictures and autographs.

"I think people expect me to be this bitch snob," she says. "But I'm really nice, and I feel bad if I'm mean."

i agree, Derder---I see some of these stars & I think, why? Get out while u can. Tara R. was cute at 1 pt, made watchable films for her kind of celebrity. I guess all the partying is what has ruined her so much, all her clubbing & drinking (Lindsay L, take note!).

Because for many of these people, teir self worth is what other people think of them. I think Tara's screwed up like that. And a lot just wnt and need the attention. And some probably arent' that mature - haven't made it past that stage yet. Some people never grow up :(

There's a new breed of celebrity out there...one who looks to any press as good press. That's why you see so many nip slips at red carpet functions and see-through tops that the celeb professes to not know was see-through under the lights. It's all to get more press.

Think of the time Ho-han went to the Nick Kid's Choice Awards and didn't wear panties. Rushed up on stage, where fans were blowing to keep the presenters cool. Nice crotch shot to all the little ones.

She went to an awards show with mostly eight year olds in the audience and thought to herself: "You know, I should go without panties and wear a really short skirt. There's be a lot of little kids there..."

I was fully on the bandwagon for this being an alien baby, but perhaps I was wrong. (Note this date in history...I've never admitted to being wrong before.) Her eyes do remind me a little of Tom's, but I still fail to believe that Suri is a baby born from a union of Tom Cruise's sperm and Katie Holmes's egg. I think that I'm going to start subscribing to the theory that this baby is actually Chris Klein's.

Baby Suri does look a little Asian, I guess. But I think she looks more like her mother than her father. Same eyes and lips.

About this whole firecrotch thing... are people using it as its original meaning (referring to hair color) or has it evolved into a description of some sort of burning vernereal disease? And if it's the former, is that such a bad thing? It's not like a redhead can help that. I guess she can break out a bottle of Nice & Easy, but I wouldn't imagine that would be very comfortable.

Several years ago, I was watching Nick's Teen Choice Awards (with my kids) and I was not so happy that Britney Spears chose to wear this skimpy tank top that let everyone know that the temperature in the room was quite chilly. I happened to be watching Rosie O'Donnell's show the next day (that shows you how many years ago this was) and Britney was on. Rosie presented her with a very thick cardigan sweater "in case she went out in public and got cold again"... :thumbup1: I haven't thought a lot of Britney's choices since then have been very well-thought out. And then this recent post about her baby's name just justifies my thinking.

This is a very strange and sad story---it must be awful to give birth to one child and lose another so soon thereafter. I didn't realize she even had a son. I wonder if he suffered from health problems, an undiagnosed heart condition perhaps? Seems so sudden and strange.

LL always seemed to me to be a Paris Hilton wannabe. Especially when she had that bleached blonde hair. Paris made the "accidental" crotch shot her specialty. I mean most people - if caught once on camera getting out of a car pantyless - would make adjustments so it didn't ever happen again.

These girls - I think they think any press is good press.

Is the baby's first name Sutton? That's my first name! Please God don't let one of Britney's children share a first name with me. My name is my grandmother's maiden name. Britney's from the south like me so perhaps she used a family name as well? Oh, I ddn't know this was a practice in the South. I think it's a nice tradition. I believe some Irish-American families do this as well, as it's an Irish tradition to name first baby girl using Mom's maiden name. (hence my friend's name 'Kiernan').

The chosen material the wig is made of, usually either: nylon, yak belly or human hair, is woven onto a transparent mesh. This is then applied to the pre-shaved pubic area with spirit gum; alternatively the wig can be attached to a transparent G-string."

Awww, thanks for asking HB! Evan's doing great...his Mommy is slowly going insane, but he's good :) There's a special kind of brain rot that sets in when your day consists of nursing, rocking, finding pacifiers, and changing diapers. You ever see that episode of Grey's Anatomy where Christina is babysitting Dr. Bailey's kid and she rants about how she has an MD from one fancy school and a PhD from another so she can totally do this? My degrees are less prestigious, but I find myself muttering something similar at least once a day. I'm a smart woman, my 3 week old will not beat me!

That photo reminds me of a friend of mine, he was dating this "wild" girl who liked to dye her hair down there. He said he never knew what he was gonna get a smiley face, lightning bolt, four leaf clover. He said it got to where all he wanted was to see a nice normal everyday carpet.

Hmm. I'm torn. I hate Perezhilton, but I love cooter shots.

What about a cooter shot of PerezHilton?

Yes, mommy brain. I know it well. Your babe is beautiful:D Is he your first?

My brain has never gotten back to what it was before, but how could it?!?! These little humans bring so many new experiences to us so quickly that our brains go into auto pilot- nurse, change, nurse, change, nurse. Ahh, I look back on those times fondly now, but at the time I thought I was losing it.:o

Congratulations to you, Pekmboyd! ETA- It just gets better as they grow. 6 months- 1 year were the best for me because they learn so much then. Its such a contrast to the first 6 months. Happy Babymoon to you!

Did anyone notice that Ms Lohan's cooter looks like one that would be on a much older woman? Maybe she's bare down there because she always changing her hair color, and it's too hard to keep up with the carpet part - so she goes with hard wood floors. (a little too worn, hard wood floors)
I told my hubby about a merkin last night, and he just looked and said "where the hell did you learn that?" and I said "oh look, Lucas won"

If you had a a blue merkin and swapped it for a green one, would that be a merkin-teal exchange?

For the second time this month, "Laguna Beach" star Jason Wahler has been arrested. As Perez Hilton first reported, the LAPD arrested Wahler on Friday at 5:30PM for misdemeanor battery and set his bail at $20,000. According to LAPD documents, he was released Saturday afternoon.

The reality show star was busted three weeks ago in New York and charged with one count each of disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and bribery. According to the court documents, Wahler was obstructing traffic by standing in the street and creating a public disturbance. Officers then attempted to handcuff the 19-year-old, but he resisted. When they performed a search on him, they allegedly found cocaine in his pants pocket. Wahler then allegedly tried to bribe officers into letting him go.
