Some late night gossip I just ran across-

I hope I did the link correctly. If not, its on people.com
Congratulations to Brad and Angelina- I had hoped she would go for a natural birth (because I am a birth nut) but it seems there were minor complications that might have led to a c-section.

Something occured to me today as I read my new People Mag (FYI: the pics of Brangelina's baby are really cute- That baby is beautiful- SHOCKER!)
Why haven't Tom and Katie released a picture of Suri?
Any thoughts on this? I think it is suspicious (as was the whole pregnancy to begin with). Every other celeb has released a picture or pictures of their new baby-
What is going on?? Why are they hiding her? How do we know she even exists??

Ooh! Good question!
What I want to know is why Nicole would confess to Ladies Home Journal that she still loves Tom when she is about to get married to someone else. Does she think Tom will read it, leave Katie and remarry her?

Doesn't Suri have to spend like 2 months with the Scientologists so they can annoint her or some shit like that?
If the pregnacy was a sham, Katie has really been keeping up her acting skills because you could not get in a nursing bra again unless my newborn babies like depended on it.

I think that quote was blown WAY out of proportion. I interpreted it as "I still care deeply about the man who is the father of my children and it is important to me that his life turn out well", rather than "I cry myself to sleep at night wishing he'd come back to me"...

Pekmboyd - Valid point. I reread the write-up (below) and I think she sounds sad.
Despite splitting from Tom Cruise five years ago, Nicole Kidman says that she still considers their 2001 divorce a "major shock" – and confesses that she still loves her ex.
"To me, he was just Tom, but to everybody else, he is huge. But he was lovely to me. And I loved him. I still love him." Kidman, 38, tells the Ladies' Home Journal in a new interview, in which she also reveals a certain premonition about something dire being about to happen.

I just cant help but be catty and bitchy (its my nature) so I thought we could all snark on those that may not cross our paths on our beloved reality shows or series. In the spirit of Joan, I will start snarking and I look forward to your many replies...
Has anyone REALLY looked at Nicole Kidman lately? Or is her name now Nicole Urban? Besides looking like she belongs in Madame Tussards (and even Madam Tussard would probably add a little more color to her face so she looks more life-like), she is scary fugly. She was a natural and beautiful girl (think Days of Thunder) and now she is a scary monster. Really. Disturbing.
Keith Urban looks like a greek god compared to her. She is so shiny and plastic that I am afraid she might get recalled. Is she an alien? Did Tom and the Scientologist create a curse or biologic weapon that will slowly render her lifeless? Its working whatever it is!!

Kate Bosworth. Pale, and PAINFULLY thin. maybe she's not getting enough of Orlando's juice lately, but she is the co-star of one of the biggest movies this summer. She should really try and look healthier for all the press she's going to receive. Some sun and some carbs would help.
funny thing is just as I was typing this, they announced that she's coming up on the Today show. We'll see if she looks any better.

I am with you on Miss Bosworth. She has a forehead you could project movies on. I was so disappointed when they cast her as Lois Lane - couldn't they find an actual brunette to do the job?
I saw Click this weekend - Julie Kavner and Henry Winkler were scaring me. I am not sure which one of them has had more scary plastic surgery. Why can't people just age gracefully anymore? The new trend towards botoxed foreheads, tight eyes, shaved noses and porcelein veneers is breeding a scary new wave of mannequin people.

Cruise & Holmes Baby Pictures Fail To Sell
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes refused to sell pictures of their new daughter Suri, after the photos were offered to the media and failed to get a significant price, according to media reports in the US. Photos of other new born celebrity babies, including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's baby Shiloh, Gwen Stefani's baby Kingston and Brooke Shields' baby Grier have all graced the covers of major magazines. According to Fox News correspondent Roger Friedman, a photo shoot of Suri was offered to photo agency WireImage. Photos of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt were reportedly sold to People magazine for $4 million, but pictures of Suri Cruise produced not more than a $3 million bid. At that point the offer for the photos was reportedly rescinded. A magazine expert tells Friedman now that the baby is nearly three months old, her price will only go down, adding, "Shiloh was the whole deal. We won't see a baby like that again for a while."

Well supposedly (according to Gossiplist.com) Will is on the "downlow" with Eddie Murphy and some other African American celebrity men (I can't remember exactly who), and Jada has flings with women.
Seriously, this website has a lot of good juice in it. It is worth the 10 bucks. I think it was for a three month membership and then I terminated it (I had already read everything). But the archives are where all the good stuff is, and you can only read it if you pay.

Does anyone think Eva Longoria (the one from Desperate Housewives) is hot? I think she is attractive, but not sexy. And if Tom Cruise has all these fake relationships with actresses (Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Katie Holmes), why does always pick women who are taller than him? There are plenty of petite starlets in Hollywood who would jump at the chance to be in a "relationship" with one of the world's biggest stars.

too true!! i read in an article where she was whining about how growing up she was considered the 'runt' of the litter by her family, who apparently ddn't thnk she was v cute either. Umm, Eva, they were right!! It dsn't help that there are all these nasty stories abt her diva attitude (how she stiffed a Colorado waitress on an $18 tab, whining, 'Don't celebs. get comped anymore?!') Pls. seriously, if u go on nat'l TV asking to be left alone, to be left in peace, then maybe going nude on the front cover of a mag. is not the best way 2 go abt achieving that, Toots. I have felt bad for Britney in the past, & i still do, but that's mostly b/c she seems like such a misguided, naive girl, who needs some serious advice from Mom, or a Mom-like figure (Oprah, save ths idiot!)

hee hee, yea! I actually thnk ths dark color works nicely on her (as compared to the dried straw & split-ended blonde that was on view on Dateline last week, i mean). But when she was in her prime, her blonde hair looked pretty. (or were those extensions? still, the blonde looked nice on her).

Why do people like Rosie O'Donnell get their own talk shows, their own magazines, and acting/singing gigs as well? I wish that she and Oprah would shut their mouths, go away, and leave all of us alone! They're complete self-righteous and obnoxious. And increasingly delusional.
Why is Paris Hilton still being photographed & worshipped by the papz's? Why was she given her own show, along with the nasty-looking (and behaving) Nicole R? It bugs me. They're talentless embarrassments.
Why does Larry King have his own show? He's scary-looking, and I'm quite sure that his breath must STINK from all those Garlique ("as in Unique") tablets he promotes. He also doesn't do a good job anymore as an interviewer (assuming he did do a good job at one point...which I don't know for sure).

Isn't the dark hair dye bad too?
It's not nearly as bad as peroxide / bleaching. To go darker there are more "natural" products you can use, but to go lighter it's usually too chemically - some docs don't have a problem with it but for a lot of people it's a better safe than sorry thing. There are too many rules to keep up with them all. I can never remember which kinds of fish I'm supposed to eat and which kinds I'm not, so I just quit eating fish. You're not supposed to eat too much salt, certain kinds of cheese, MSG...the list is ridiculous. Some women are sticklers for all the rules - I just try to stick to the big ones :)

According to all our other beloved gossip sites she did check with her doctor about using veggie based dye.... HOWEVER...the flipside to that is that she apparently did it herself and it was a hot mess when she showed up for that photo shoot... she didn't tell them what she had done and it was so bad they had to retouch it and add extensions... i really do feel bad for her...a show biz obsessed mom and a dad we rarely hear about.... no wonder she's making such poor choices... Can we talk about Tori Spelling now? I'm getting ready to read the USWeekly article about how she never got to say goodbye to her father b/c of her fued with her mother. How hypocritical can you be to be mad at your mom for doing something that YOU deem inappropriate in a marriage when you STOLE another woman's husband AND divorced your own husband to be with him? I really liked Aaron Spelling, but this girl needs to go away. Her acting can't keep her in the news, so she puts her troublesome personal life out there for everyone instead, and then she wants my SYMPATHY? I never got to hear the whole dirt on Tori? ANyone?
And ok, its like 3 months now - where is baby Suri? Is there a baby Suri?
and why the hell do I care... :) :p
The basics on Tori are that she got married to Charlie Something, then went off to film some craptastic movie where she met Dylan? Darren? something who happened to be married with a couple kids, and poof, they both went home, filed for divorce, and got together and married in less than a year. And now we're supposed to feel bad for her because Dylan/Darren's ex-wife is writing a nasty book.
As for baby Suri, there was a blurb just today in Page Six:
BABY Suri Cruise isn't just playing hide-and-seek with the public. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have yet to show off their spawn to fellow Scientologists John Travolta, Kelly Preston and Lisa Marie Presley. Even good pals Will and Jada Pinkett Smith supposedly have not met the newborn despite repeated calls to Cruise, reports Us Weekly. "Every time, it's a different excuse: He's busy or Kate's not feeling well," said a source. "[The Smiths] think it's so weird."

It's the Great Mystery of 2006. :)
Here is one theory that I ran across on the TMZ website:
The Flurry Over Suri (by Harvey Levin)
Where the heck is Suri Cruise? My cynical opinion -- Tom wants to out do Brad.
So here's my theory. Brad and Angelina got around $4 mil for the first pics of Shiloh, which they donated to charity. The word on the street is that Tom and Katie couldn't get more than $3 million for Suri pics. When you're as big as Tom Cruise, the only place to go is down. He was the biggest star in the world for a long time, loved by all. Now he's neither the biggest nor loved that much.
So forget about the conspiracy theories. People just weren't as into Suri pics as Shiloh pics, and it probably drove Tom nuts. But wait -- there's a solution. Create a mystery and the world will go crazy. That's exactly what I think is going on. If people start questioning if this baby really exists, the pictures automatically become more valuable. If he gets more than $4 mil, he beats Brad. I'm guessing if that happens, the money goes to Scientology, which could make the whole plan backfire.
In this town, stars make their own luck. Until recently, the Cruise machine was the master of managed publicity. I think this could be an attempt to re-capture some good ol' glory days.
derder
07-12-2006, 11:04 AM
Hmmm- That is certainly possible. I just hope this poor baby isn't sick or God forbid, severely handicapped or something. Remember, Tom Cruise admitted to purchasing a sonagram machine and doing his own personal sonagrams on Katie during her pregnancy? Come on, now- that can't be good...
God, this really is strange...

We were discussing this at the gym this morning and our collective theory is that Katie was impregnated with the frozen sperm of L. Ron Hubbard but didn't know it until Suri was born looking like the back cover of Dianetics.

And have you heard the I-have-way-too-much-time-to-spend-on-this theory about Cruise and Kidman working together to create this mystery? I wish I had time like that on my hands.
Okay, but you only get two more wishes. And no wishing for more wishes!

On Access Hollywood they said some hikers in Telluride saw Katie, Tom and the baby hiking, another one said they caught Katie breastfeeding. I find that second report odd -if I was hiding my baby from paparrazi I certainly wouldn't be breastfeeding out on a hiking trail.

Katie Holmes has hit back a rumors she is already expecting her second child with fiance Tom Cruise. The former Dawson's Creek star has rarely been seen in public since giving birth to daughter Suri on April 18. And one of the couple's neighbors tells American publication Us Weekly, "I heard from a lot of people that Katie is pregnant." Holmes was spotted in Telluride, Colorado, on Monday, where Cruise has a holiday home. She immediately hit back at the reports telling the magazine, "I am not pregnant again." During the star's outing in Colorado, she was accompanied by a girlfriend and was seen window shopping and sipping a coffee. Holmes once again did not have her new baby with her, much to the dismay of onlookers. She told the assembled crowd, "Suri's doing great! She's back at the house."

I am not big on sensationalism, but this whole deal smells like rotten eggs. Hiding Suri for $$$ or because she's fugly doesn't make sense (even if she bears no resemblance to Tom - unless its racial people wouldn't really notice with an infant, especially with a hat/bonnet). There are plenty of reliable reports that friends haven't been allowed to see the baby - what?! After 3 months?! And Katie's parents refusing to attend Scientology wedding....
I am seriously starting to believe that Suri does not exist, and that a whole lot of monkey business/adoption crap is going down. All because my poor Katie has been BRAINWASHED. My hope is that all is revealed soon and the big result is that Scientology is totally discredited.
Not that it had any credibility before....

Don't you find it kind of funny too how Tom & Angelina are like switching roles? Angelina used to be kind of crazy, but at least with her I think a lot of it had to do with youth and I'm sure some help via alcohol, drugs, or both. Tom used to be on the Tom Hanks track, becoming a better actor & making some good movies ("Collateral" sp? was pretty good.) Now she has calmed down and well, trying to do good in the world, I know it sounds schmaltzy but I think her "star power" is on the rise. Tom is revealing to the rest of us just how crazy he is and he's definitely on the decline. Does anyone out there besides celebrities really believe in & follow Scientolgy? And if so why would you when you have the stellar example of TomKat of how nuts it makes you? Or is it just that actors already are a little nuts & this just kind of goes along with their personalitys? Ok, that's my random rant for the day.

From "The Daily Whisper"
Remini: I Held Baby Suri
Since she was born on April 18, little Suri Cruise has managed to keep a low profile. In fact, at 3 months old, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes still has not been seen in public.
But at least one famous friend has gotten to meet her: "King of Queens" star and Cruise pal Leah Remini, who saw Suri at the couple's L.A. home recently.
"She's a beaming baby," Remini tells PEOPLE in its new issue. "She looks like Tom and Katie. She's just beautiful."
As for Suri's folks, Cruise is "one of those doting dads," says Remini, who, like Cruise and Holmes, is a Scientologist. Holmes looks "beautiful -- I'm jealous of her. She bounced right back."
"They're just great parents," Remini adds. "There wasn't a second that she was out of their arms except when I held her."
So why won't the proud Mom and Dad introduce Suri to fans? They're simply in no rush, Cruise's rep told PEOPLE in June. "Suri's in great shape. Everything's fine."

Lovin' this thread!
My favourite celebs to hate...
Ashlee Simpson - fake nose, crappy songs & has ridden too far on her sister's fame
Tom Cruise - I am a firm believer in the "fake baby" conspiracy
Oprah - Have you seen her without makeup? Scary as hell!
There are lots more but that's all I can think of at the moment!

he had 2 kids tati. Tori and Randy. I think that Randy will get a bigger cut, but Tori can always marry her way up right? Not to be too judgemental, but no rift with her mother would keep her away from daddy. Her mom can't block the doors. Her father still loved her. She was the one that chose to air her (and her family's) dirty laundry in public. If she really wanted to be by her father's side in his illness, she would have worried less aboout selling her "hush-hush" wedding pics to People magazine and got her ass to Beverly Hills to see her father.

Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will are the latest celebs to catch a glimpse of the heretofore invisible spawn of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes – and then tell the world about it.
What's more, Cruise's rep confirms that wedding bells will be ringing for TomKat sometime in the late summer or early fall.
Jada Pinkett Smith fills out the ever-blossoming portrait of Suri, who was born April 18 but has been absent from the public eye since then, describing her to People as "gorgeous" and "one of the sweetest babies I've ever met in my life." What's more, says Pinkett Smith, who's met the baby twice at Cruise's Beverly Hills home, Suri's an "absolute beauty" and "Daddy's little girl." That description – suggesting a resemblance to Tom – veers a bit from Leah Rimini's recent and non-specific portrayal of Suri as looking "like Tom and Katie."

Sorry to bring up tax law in such a fun thread :D - but Tori and the brother proably won't pay taxes on an inheritance. Generally, the estate of the deceased pays a tax on the fair market value of all assets owned by the person at death. The bequests go to the recipients tax free. Minor exception: if the kids are a beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement plan, that money is taxable but there is a special deduction available if the estate paid tax on the same money. OK, class is over. Play nice! (Not!)

Okay, now were talkin' to the right person!! All I know is that we only paid a small amount on a somewhat large inheritance, but that was because of the way it was set up- and apparently it was kind of unusual and we got lucky (I can't go into details about the monies.... you know how it is).

Family issues are always a bit dicey. I can't speak to the specifics, naturally, of the Spelling situation. But here's my general overview of this:
-Adults accept responsibility to care for their offspring/children until the age of 18. This responsibility includes basic care and essentials: for the children to be housed, fed, educated and clothed in a warm/clean/appropriate/basic manner. Anything beyond this is their choice to give, but not their responsibility. And children have no right to expect anything beyond the basics.
-Children should not EXPECT to be put through college, to be taken care of financially (or bailed-out of financial mishandlings), to be given vehicles, houses (or downpayments for houses), or to be given inheritances upon the death of their parent/s.
-Parents should not feel obligated to do any of the above.
-My parents are well-off. However, I expect nothing from them...either now, or when they (hopefully many years from now) die. My expectation in life is to be self-sufficient. And I want to teach my children the same expectation. I don't think that you do your kids any favor by simply handing everything to them on a silver platter, or by bailing them out. My parents did a lot of this, and I'm STILL learning and recovering from that. It's my fault at this point, not theirs, if I haven't planned accordingly and made good financial decisions. Shame on Tori if she lived too large, and didn't save any of the tons of money she's made over the years. Should MaSpelling give her a larger inheritance? That's up to her, but perhaps she's doling out in smaller amounts initially, and seeing who handles their $800,000 wisely...and then later she'd give them other gifts. It's impossible for us to know. But what I do know is that I'm not inclined to feel sorry for Tori!

I don't know lots of the stuff they're auctioning is fairly cute, if not a bit young? I've certainly seen her wear worse stuff! But I guess that's the stuff that she's TRULY fond of, so she won't be auctioning it anytime soon!
That's a really cute dress, Obstinant! Kinda strange that she's selling her stuff, is she really that broke?? I have a hard time truly feeling sorry 4 her, only b/c there are other truly broke people out there, trying to make ends meet all the time. Suck it up. I know Mom dissed her w/ the will stuff, but really, she'll be fine. She'll have to get by, just like e'one else!

I love ebay...and I've gotten tons of great things via ebay over the years. But, beware of buying high-priced items on ebay, or of dealing with the mega-sellers. That's where I got screwed. And ebay offers no method for dealing with a client services rep to try and iron things out. They've got a very specific set (and not all-inclusive) of things you can complain about, or try to work out, but if your situation doesn't exactly fit into any of those then you're stuck. Very frustrating.
So at this point I stick to dealing with smaller sellers, for smaller items. And even at that I'm vigilant about checking their seller profiles!
Has anyone here seen the old movie "Teacher's Pet", with Doris Day and Clarke Gable? My husband and I love that movie, it's one of our favorite stand-by's. Anyway, I found an original photo (with accompanying paperwork from the studio) from the shooting of that movie, of Doris Day, on ebay. It's gorgeous, and I bid on it & won it! I had the photo & paperwork framed and it's hung in various places throughout our house. What I love is the varied reactions we've gotten from people over the years. Everything from "Oh, I love Doris Day!" to "Uh, why do you have a picture of Doris Day in your house?" to "Who is that woman?" It's like our own little private joke (well, it was until I shared it here!)
So at this point I stick to dealing with smaller sellers, for smaller items. And even at that I'm vigilant about checking their seller profiles!
thx 4 the advice, i'm a newbie on ebay & i'm really enjoying some of my deals so far, some real bargains. I've bought mostly shoes, mostly fr. independent, small dealers. No problems so far but appreciate the tips. congrats on ur Doris D score!

I love eBay too! I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work and I can get them for much cheaper on eBay than in a store or at Amazon. When I am finished I sell them to someone else (and usually make a profit). I've dealt with many wonderful sellers and bidders and very few deadbeats.
I agree with you about mega-sellers, not all of them can be trusted. But smaller sellers with 100% positive feedback (like myself) are on the up and up. :)

I've dealt with all kinds of dealers and have been lucky to avoid some of the common nightmares I've read about. About the worse thing that ever happened to me was when I bought a pair of ski's from a guy in Canada and customs held up the delivery for over two months.

From the TMZ website:
Our weekly Suri Cruise sighting comes not from a Scientologist spreading the word of the as-yet-invisible child, but from one of Tom Cruise's ex-girlfriends.
Yesterday, Penelope Cruz said that she had in fact seen Suri and that the child is "one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen."
While attending the London premiere of her new movie "Volver," Cruz spilled the goods – just a tiny little bit – on her old squeeze's new kid, saying that Suri is "really beautiful." The Spanish actress, who co-starred with Tom Cruise in 2001's "Vanilla Sky" and dated him for three years, wouldn't give any more details about the unveiling.
This is the third Suri sighting since July, when, first, avowed Scientologist Leah Rimini and later actress Jada Pinkett Smith both told the world that they'd seen the child, who was born April 18 but has yet to be glimpsed by the public. They described her resemblance to both of her parents as well as her full head of black hair.

I don't think Tom's winning any points by getting his friends to tell us all he has the world's most beautiful baby - it's not bad enough you think you know what's best for women's bodies, now your kid is prettier than ours? New PR rep needed, stat!

I think a LOT of the problem is that he fired his former publicist and then put his sister or step-sister in that job. I doubt she has the clout or the know-how of the former publicist. I'm wondering how much damage control the former publicist did before he got fired. That would explain a lot.

I believe he fired the sister and hired a real guy here not too long ago...it was after the couch-jumping but before the imaginary baby was born. But his problem is with offending female fans, so he really should have hired women - any mother (even us soon-to-bes) will tell you that the way to our heart is not to brag (even through carefully planned releases by friends) that your kid is better than ours.

I don't really care if Suri exists. But I'm DYING to hear if the Pinkett Smith's are Scientologists. Does anybody know about this? What is their connection to Tom Cruise? I always thought Will and Jada were cool ass dudes in a very non-typical Hollywood way.

None of these recent articles about the Pinkett Smith baby-sighting have mentioned anything about them being Scientologists--and it seems that they usually would do so if that were the case, as they did when talking about Leah Remini & how she saw the baby & she's also a Sciento. I've never heard mention about them being Scien., let's hope not!

I think the connection between the Smiths and Tom Cruise stems from the fact that Jada Pinkett Smith was in Collateral, which, by the way, was a pretty damn good movie.

Actress Kate Hudson and her husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, are splitting, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
The You, Me and Dupree star's rep, Brad Cafarelli, confirms that the couple are separating after nearly six years of marriage.
Hudson, 27, and Robinson, 39, wed on New Year's Eve 2000 after dating for about a year. Their son, Ryder Russell, was born Jan. 7, 2004.
In September 2004, while shooting Skeleton Key in New Orleans, Hudson told PEOPLE about her relationship with Robinson since Ryder's birth: "We're sharing something so gigantic now. I think it's the best we've ever felt being together."
I was stunned when I read this.

Just goes to show ya, I guess. It's pathetic to me how so many Hollywood marriages only survive a few years (and many times months). I have discussed this with friends. We think it is because the majority of stars are so spoiled, that they don't know how to compromise.

I wasn't all that surprised - I remember hearing a radio interview with Kate not too awful long ago where she was basically saying that if he felt like he had to cheat on her she just didn't want him to be stupid enough to get caught - a don't ask, don't tell sort of policy. Supposedly that works for some people but it always strikes me as strange and a major red flag on the relationship.

i agree, derder, i think that has something 2 do w/ it, i could believe that most stars are spoiled more than the average person and that that's bound to affect their personal relationships. I also wonder if their egos come in2 play as well---1 person gets more popular than the other, so the other gets jealous. Or one person is away from home a lot to promote/star in a new movie, sitcom, etc. But Kate & Chris did seem down to earth, not overly spoiled.

 definite red flag. A long time ago, i remember telling a friend how i thot Goldie & Kurt Russell were so cute in 'Overboard' & how I like that theyre still together, etc & friend said that supposedly 'Goldie lets Kurt have affairs w/ other women'! Wow that is a horrible way to look a marriage. I think celebrity couples get caught up in the romance to never take time to work on marriage. Just live together and date if you dont take anything serioulsy! Marriage is serious and it annoys me that hollywood couples think it is as easy as paying a traffic ticket to get ride of.

I think another problem with two celebrities getting married is the amount of time they spend apart. If you are working on a movie, you can be gone 30-120 days. And even if your spouse comes with you, you are stuck on set all day and have little time for them.

I agree with all of these theories. Let's face it... These people really are unable to lead a "normal life" because of all of these things. I always think about how great it would be to be famous and fabulous until I really think about the sacrifices these people actually have to make.

Sorry, but I don't buy the "being apart" line...I'm married to a Marine, and he can go on deployments for 7 months or more at a time and at our previous duty station was gone for a month here and a month there in between the 7 month stretches, and even when he IS home, his work hours are like 4:30 in the morning until sometimes midnight. When you marry someone you take the whole package, and if that means someone who isn't home much then you signed up for it and you need to set your marriage up in a way that makes it work. Yes, it's hard (and the divorce rate in the military is probably pretty similar to the divorce rate in Hollywood) but I think the "being apart" thing is an excuse.

Heather Locklears response was something like "That's because she was screwing my husband and quit taking my phonecalls".

After reading a few other confessions on another post, I see there are other "Celebrity Gossip Whores" on Tvgasm forums. I cant get enough of all the snarky celebrity websites and blogs. Thats actually how I found my beloved Tvgasm!
Please out yourselves and join me in my shame.

HA!! I love Heather's response! I agree, Denise is scummy---being w/Charlie S alone makes u pretty scummy---sorry, but he dsn't seem like the rehabitable type. I hope their kids aren't all messed up by all of ths....
Anyways, the only reason I mentioned the Chicago thing is b/c I'm from Queens & if DR was from here, that seems like something I would've heard of by now over the years. (not that I care if she's from Qns or not, she very well could've been dancing up & dwn a ton of poles, I just meant that it's something that prolly would've been mentioned in the local press at some point---you'd think so, anyways!)

Jelliepair, I share your shame. I think it might be a sickness. I cannot get enough celebrity gossip and for some reason my brain is like a sponge for information about who is dating who, but when it comes to something about politics or economics, I can't remember it to save my life. Why is it that the useless stuff sticks? I sometimes wonder what I'd be capable of if all the brain space currently occupied by celebrity obssession was freed for more noble pursuits. Would I find the cure for cancer? The answer to global warming? The secret to world peace?

I with you guys - my shame is having an interest in the TomKat mystery relationship/child. Why is he so odd? Why is she with him? Where is the kid? Even more shameful is that I let my "Suri Who?" posting die down a bit when there was some news of a Suri sighting at a birthday party!

I'd say I spend the vast majority of the day bouncing back and forth between gawker, perez hilton and the superficial. I also love Go Fug Yourself. I just love when celebs dress poorly. I've actually had to do work over the past few days so it's been tough balancing the reading and working...i'm totally into this Owen "Butterscotch Stallion" Wilson/Kate Hudson thing

I LOVE gofugyourself.com. I just wish they posted MORE! I get a real hoot out of their sense of humor and they are some bright yet vicious girls - I'd hate for them to get a look at me most days. They also have the website Televisionwithoutpity.com. I also read gawker (and I live nowhere near NYC), perez hilton and a score of others - never heard of superficial - is it worth a look?
You should try Pinkisthenewblog.com - very similar to perez but without the whole "I'll talk about myself in the third person thing" which I find pretty creepy.
Its shameful and yet, I love it.

Suri's been spotted again-this time by an actual civilian! The heretofore mysterious daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes put in an appearance at a recent birthday party at a Los Angeles roller-skating rink for Jaden Smith, the son of Jada Pinkett and Will Smith, according to a report this morning.
The anonymous source says that Suri "is a beautiful baby. She had no deformities that I could see! She has a gorgeous head full of dark, curly hair, and she resembles both parents, though she looks slightly more like Tom."
Of course, this sighting, reported by Ben Widdicombe in his Gatecrasher column, raises more questions than it answers. For one, where are the photographs? Every kid's birthday party has a cameraman (or several), and it seems odd that absolutely no photos have surfaced from the party. Second, why is there only one source that claims to have seen Suri? Presumably there were more people at the party. In any case, the public's curiosity about the baby shows no sign of being satisfied. Perhaps the rumored sale of Suri's baby photos to Vanity Fair will quell all the rumors once and for all.

I like ur post, Marslo (the possibilities of wasted brain space were funny)! But yea, i read my share of gossip stuff, definitely keep up with it. (as can be evidenced by my multiple comments on the other threads!)

thesuperficial.com is definitely worth checking out if you like snark. He doesn't update his site as often as a lot of other bloggers, but it is good for a laugh every now and then.
And I am totally with you on the pinkisthenewblog. I love the fact that I can rely on him to post every day - it provides me with much-needed structure.

oooh! thanks for the site tips, i luv gofugurself, too, that's 1 of my faves!! i love the Chloe Sevigny section on there specially (what in god's name is wrong w/ that woman?!!) I read gawker too, & will check out Pink & Superfic. i checked out Perez once & almost DIED over how obsessed he is w/Paris, i loathe her!
Oh yeah, I'm a big time celebrity gossip whore. I'm a little embarrassed about it. I wish I was interested in noble things, but I'm just not. I'm interested in TV and pretty people falling in/out of love. Yep, I'm shallow. I admitted it to myself long ago.
In all seriousness, I sometimes find the amount of pop culture/celebrity knowledge I possess disturbing. Why do I know that Keanu Reeves' birthday is September 2? There is absolutely no reason for me to know that, and yet, I know his birthday like I know my own. Frrrrrreeeeaaakkk. My friends make fun of me for it (as they should) but in my defense I am just naturally very good at remembering number sequences like birthdays, phone numbers, addresses etc. Keanu Reeves should just thank his lucky stars I don't know his phone number and address.
Oh, and Samynoodle, I'm totally obsessed with the idea of Kate Hudson/Owen Wilson too. I hope it's true. Is that mean to say?
Websites I regularly visit and recommend: Defamer, gawker, mollygood.com, usmagazine.com, perezhilton.com, people.com, hello-magazine.com.

Helllllooooooo! Does anyone care about the end of Brad Garrett's marriage?

More than Kate Hudson's? Yes.
Really? Not trying to be a smart ass here, but why?

Of course I don't care about Brad Garrett's marriage. He isn't in the tabloids.

Because I'm more familiar with his work, and enjoy him as a stand-up.
I do find that question interesting though. Why shouldn't I care more about Brad Garrett's marriage ending than Kate Hudson's?
Well, you can care about whoever and whatever you like, of course. I just think most people care more about Kate Hudson's marriage ending because she's more famous and hotter. Plus, there is more than one celebrity involved in her breakup. Possibly three, so...it's got that going for it.
Ugh, I'm grossing myself out with this conversation. I'm going to go read the news or something. Aren't there, like, wars and stuff going on?

Because although I like Brad Garrett in Everyone loves Raymond (which I only see when i forget to turn the channel after Seinfeld), he isn't a guy we read about all the time like many of the other celebs.
If you waste as much time as I do reading that garbage- you tend to become interested in the lives of the ones you read about and see pics of frequently. At least that is my spin on it. Brad Garrett isn't out there with cameras chasing him around.
Although I'm not really interested in the young, stupid starlettes like Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Mischa whateverhername is etc. I find them all pretty much revolting.

omg, you guys are too funny in this thread, i'm luving it!! I for one ddn't recognize the name Brad Garrett (& i'm usually pretty good at this kinda thing) but once Ray was mentioned I knew who you're talking to. I'd have to agree w/derder & Mulv's posts abt why his marital woes wouldn't be as interesting---he's
