So I did not get to see last weeks episode until Saturday, but I have caught up on last week's post, but only made it through page 7 of the large post- so I'm dying to know LizardQueen- are you able to view PR with the rest of us? I agree with eveyone about the Bravo website, I get so distracted by all the bs on the screen. Daniel V.'s blog is a bore. Andy's is pretty funny. The four four website is great for screencaps and audioclips from the show. I haven't listened to Tim's podcast for last week. Any tidbits?
So any predictions for tonight? Who has gone outside the bounds of good taste? Jeffrey, vincent? or maybe crazy Angela will return insead of this new controlled Angela that I do not like.
Laura is still my favorite personality wise.

No big surprise tonight about who went home (I won't spoil it until everyone's seen the episode) but I think a nip slip got past the censors! Anyone else catch that at the end? :scared:
Also, I just realized... if I ever need a dress designed for me, I'm picking a straight man to do it. They just seem to have a woman's best interest in mind when they design. They don't do it for themselves, or for others to ooh and ah over, but they design clothes to actually accentuate a woman's body. Like Daniel from the last two seasons or Michael this season. They just design gorgeous dresses for women.

NO! I call bullshit on this one. Heidi has been just waiting for a chance to get rid of Allison because she's so cute. Then they voiced over her sayng that they couldn't believe a female designer did that....damn, damn....I knew it was either vincent or alison, kayne has made some great garments.
Laura- love her style, but she does design for herself, but I don't think that is a bad thing in her case
loved hearing Tim talk about waste management.
wow was jeffrey pissed. i think his was more innovative, but im happy to see michael win

Ditto on the alison bummer! I was PISSED. I think in the long run she has far more talent than wacko Vinny and that should have been taken into account.

when she was barking at vincent near the end of the episode, there was an UNFLATTERING side view of her tiny boob drooping out of it's cover

jam--did u mean Laura? she was getting on my nerves a bit this episode, she seems to critique the others a lot, kinda snotty & condescending. She hasn't even won a solo challenge so i don't see the need for the 'tude. Her outfits are def'ly elegant & wearable, but it's true what Heidi said, the minute u see a certain style on the runway, you know its hers. She seems to sew along the same thread. ah well.
But i'll admit i was surprised by the Auf'ing---i thot the 2nd place loser should've gone---that dress wasn't great, not wearable or creative.
I liked Michael's but I actually thot Jeffrey's was more innovative.
Horrible decision by the judges, IMO. Is it so difficult to see that Alison is a good designer (despite her dress tonight) and Vincent is fucking nuts?
Alison always designs garments that the judges like, or at least she's rarely in the bottom group. And she has so much more potential than Vincent to make a complete line that is fashionable and wearable.
Except for the green Miss USA gown with weird shoulder wings (which the judges liked for some reason), Vincent has designed crap and the judges have called him on it. They hated the basket hat and the Twiggy dress. Even the dog hated that stupid hat Vincent made him wear. :)
They both made horrible dresses tonight, but Alison is consistently better than Vincent. Why isn't the designer's entire history on the show taken into consideration more? Alison should not have been auf'd.

I tend to agree with Tati and Hardly@Work that Jeffrey's dress was more innovative but the colors were waaaay to UofM maize and blue for me. But I doubt Nina Garcia and Michael Kors would have caught that...:D
I couldn't tell if that was a nip slip with Laura but if my boobies looked like that I'd make darn sure to keep them fully covered at all times.
I wasn't too surprised about Allison leaving. Vincent is this year's Santino, far out but innovative enough to keep him around for shits and giggles.
I was very surprised Robert wasn't in the top 3, his dress was constructed so well although it was little shiny...

Jewelry. Famous for their diamonds. They always loan them to celebs for the red carpet.

Actually I guess I did know that. But wasn't that a stupid comeback? It didn't make sense. Unless he is referring to her rich, snotty tude. And in that case, good one, Vince.

Heh. With Vincent, one hardly ever knows what he's talking about.

Tati, I agree. I like Laura and yes, her critiques are usually dead on but she was being such a bitch tonight. Was there really a need to kick Vincent when he was down about his model? She's just really negative.
I thought Alison was so cute and I'm sorry to see her go. But I think she's got a great career ahead of her. I personally love Vincent. Mental instability is SO FUN!

I freaking LOL'ed on that one. I thought it was awesome. I'm glad he and Kayne called her out on opening her mouth when there was just no need to.

I hated Michael's outfit, and I can't believe that it won & that the judges gushed over it like they did. It reminded me of the scene in Fried Green Tomatoes where Kathy Bates character greets her husband at the door wearing only Saran Wrap. Fug, Fug, Fug.
And I hate to admit it, but I thought that Jeffrey's outfit should have won. It was designed and executed well, it was clever & the colors were great, even the model's hair and makeup were perfect.
To me, Laura's was right up there with Jeffrey's...and could easily have won.
I still like Laura, even though she can be a bit bitchy at times. And it's funny, but her wardrobe of plunging necklines don't bug me too much (I guess because she's so flat-chested they're not even offensive) but they do make me go "well, huh..." because I find it odd that a woman of her obvious level of sophistication and socioeconomic lifestyle would deem that appropriate daywear. Particularly considering that she's (did you know?) the mother of 5. But I'm choosing to believe (don't burst my bubble) that she doesn't normally dress like this, but is trying to show a distinct style and level of (self-perceived) class and sophistication to the judges. I don't like it, and I wouldn't choose it myself, but it just doesn't bug me all that much. My husband is, on the other hand, completely repulsed.
Vincent's a wackadoo, but I agreed with Allison being sent home last night. Head to toe, her outfit was hideous and horrid. Vincent's was salvageable with some work.
I barely remember any of the other outfits, I'll have to Google the Bravo site (groan....) when I have time and see what they looked like. I just remember Laura and Jeffrey's being standouts, and being irritated about Michael's win.

ditto, u said it Bevo, i agree 100% w/your critique! Alison never even came close to losing before & Vincent never even close to winning, so y get rid of her 1st? ths was just a blatant sign that the judges/producers are really after the drama & personalities. Alison will be ok in the long run, she'll be successful, but it would've been nice to see her possibly win the money.

I actually picked Alison to win tonight (and for Vincent to get booted) on the Bravo website. I kept hoping that all the stuff on her being unprepared during the show was blatent misdirection, forgetting this was Project Runway, not The Apprentice.
I'm glad Michael won.
Actually I guess I did know that. But wasn't that a stupid comeback? It didn't make sense. Unless he is referring to her rich, snotty tude. And in that case, good one, Vince.
It's possible he was referring to her rich lifestyle, which might be even more apparent to the fellow contestants. In that intervu w/ Kayne & Robert that was posted on another thread, one of them says something like 'she has more $ than God & she would not be embarassed if I told u that'---something along those lines. It wasn't a facetious comment, more of a fact, I'll try 2 find the text so it's more precise & not so out of context. Anyways, whether she has tons or not is besides the point, but what truly bugged me is how she picked on stupid Vincent as if it was his fault the judges chose him over Alison. He couldn't & wouldn't very well run in there & waive his pass to the judges b/c the contestants, like many of us, thot Vincen'ts outfits was worse. Laura made a lot of snotty comments in this episode, which true or not, are better left unsaid---you're on TV! Like the stuff about New Jersey, even if u think it's a shithole, don't blab it on TV like that. I know it's all about editing, too, it definitely didn't present a great side of her. But it makes for great TV!

Now it all makes sense...I think Vincent is only on the show to further his acting career...he has no intention of becoming a designer, but he does want to be a celebrity!

I agree regarding her comments about NJ, but regarding her comments to/about Vincent after Allison was auf'd? Eh, I can imagine that Vincent was sitting there all pleased as punch with himself and his outfit (just like he always is..."Oh, I love this, I LOVE this...it gets me off. It turns me on." and Laura just couldn't stand it any more, particularly when she saw someone like Allison get voted off rather than Vincent, and thought that Allison was truly far more talented than Vincent.
Hey, like I said, I think that Allison's outfit (and hairdo) from last night was such an abomination that she DESERVED to get auf'd last night. But, I do recognize that Vincent's a complete nut & has questionable taste and skills. But I go back to that lovely gown he made, and then I remember Allison's outfit from last night...and I dunno.

yup yup yup! I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case b/c after viewing that video, he struck me as being some1 who wants to act more than possibly design. (& show off the rear, of course!) Very Woody Allen, Rick Moranis (honey i shrunk the kids!) to me.

The hairdo Alison picked added to her undoing, when he the stylist suggested it they all kind of laughed, like heh heh, thats ridiculous, so I didn't really think she was going to do the bow, it definitely made the model look ridiculous.
Vincent- ugh, I had seen that Vincent clip last week and everytime he kept saying 'i get off on my dress, and it turns me on' [which Nina and Mkors looked totally freakedout/disgusted by] kept bring up images of his ass, so be thankful you just saw it today.
-I added every time Vincent mentions his 401k to my season 3 drinking game, so far so good.
From the interview with kayne and robert- how great is it that bonnie went off on keith ha- good for her, the aufd designers had every right to be pissed.

I have finally figured out who Alison reminds me of. She talks like Drew Barrymore but looks like Michele Williams.

Vincent's outfit was so bad...his model could hardly walk...but he kept creeping me out when he kept saying how much it turned him on. I felt bad for Alsion because she spent so much time on that first skirt that she just ran out of time.

hey jenny - i had forgotten about Vincent-the-Bonkers and his unnatural desire for his own creation....creepy. He kept calling it 'art' as though this was Project Picasso.

That was funny in the end (no pun intended). The rest was annoying.
When the camera pans down to his ass, and the phone isn't plugged into anything, and he's obviously talking to himself, is this supposed to be more proof that he's insane? It's performance art, fine. But I seriously don't get this guy at all.
His face was thinner in this video than it is on the show, and he looked a lot like Fonzie.
