how awesome was that??!!??!! i think my brain is still processing everything!

real quick -
sayid = awesome. loved how he killed that guy with the dishwasher!
hurley - i feel bad for him. it was so cute when he was telling his parents about sayid & what really happened on the island.
daniel faraday - why was he on the island before? why did he leave? i hope his back story comes out more.

i know there was more on my mind but right now i'm having trouble.

I loved the 8pm show & how they refreshed our memories with all the characters.

I was thinking that maybe Daniel ......hmmmmm, I don't know! He looks the same age as now. Maybe he's time-traveling now to try and stop the island from "skipping". He knows alotta shit about each hatch. He might have known where to be at the right time......and is 'mom' Ms. Hawkin?

I can't believe Ben took Locke to a meat market for safe-keeping. Proves that he's really dead if he needs to be put in cold storage.

I have to go watch it again.........

i know! when i first saw her with the hood up i thought she was going to be dan's mom too!

god i love this show - so much to think about now!

chooch- I bet you're right about mom! She's got to be the lady in the basement!! It was very cool to see a little backstory on Daniel, and I'm glad they found a way to keep Desmond in on the action... His accent makes me swoon. Now I hope we'll get see Charlotte's tie to the island soon- I remember last season someone mentioned that Charlotte was on the island before, which has been bugging me ever since.

Poor Locke, no one ever tells him anything. :( "It's a compass." "What's it do?!" "It points north, John." lolol

And what's up with Sun? Is she being weird or is she being really weird? Also- very convenient that she is in LA right now.

So that's it for now... My brain is slow this AM and I'm still a little bit blown away by the fact that Lost is actually BACK ON! WOOT.

Oh p.s. I didn't watch the "recap" episode, but my trusty DVR caught it for me. Is it worth the hour of my life?

it was interesting because they focused on each character and did kind of a recap of what they did, why they were on the plane, and whats happened to them, etc. it was a different recap than i was expecting but i liked it.

Watch the recap show because the things they choose to emphasize can be very relevant in the future. I always think it's interesting when they focus on one specific thing that might not have caught your attention or confirm something that we have been speculating on.

I'm happy Lost is finally back! Great episode, lots and lots of stuff happening, that's my favorite kind.

So my friend is a total genius. She suggested that the army doods on the island were Rouseau's team, which I think is spot on.

I thought there were some great one-liners...I still laugh when I think about them. First one is when Hurley was offering Syiad some food and he said no then Hurley said maybe you should eat some comfort food then you wouldn't go around killing people. And then when Richard gave John the compass and John asked what it did and Richard is all uh, it points North! Just made me laugh.

Ok and this may be a dumb question so be nice, but who is Ms. Hawkin?

It's not a dumb question. Someone aske it in the Season #5 thread & I answered it there, so I just copied my answer & I'll paste it here!

Her name is Ms. Hawkin. When Desmond was blown from the hatch, he went back to 1996 & that is when we find out his backstory with Penny & the picture which he has no money to pay for. It's also when he confronts Widmore & asks to marry Penny. When he leaves there, he meets Charlie in the streets playing his guitar. He then has a flash-forward & remembers the island...... anyhoo....

Ms. Hawkin takes Desmond outside the shop & points to the guy with red shoes & tells him what is going to happen to him & it does, which freaks Des out. She tells him, it's his destiny to be on the island. She explains that the universe has a specific way in which things must take place, anywhere that things go off course, the universe will correct itself.

Desmond's full name is Desmond David Humes. David Humes is a real Scottish philosopher who discussed the ideas of free will & determinism & this is reflected in Desmond's time-traveling.

This is why he needs to go back. He knows about time-traveling because he is one.

My geek moment is over............

i also enjoyed when he threw the hot pocket at ben/the wall. and i liked rose & bernard fighting over how to make a fire. that would so be mr. crackers & i if we were ever stranded somewhere, LOL.

What an awesome, awesome, awesome episode! I loved it. My brain hurts.

Okay, I haven't tried to articulate this yet so I am not sure if I can make sense, but here is my big confusion at the moment. If nothing can happen in time that hasn't already happened then did everything we saw that we thought didn't happen actually happen? For example, as far as we know, Locke was not on the island when Eko's brother's plane crashed there, but he saw it crash this time. Does this mean Locke was indeed on the island when the plane crash happened, or was he just witnessing the crash because time had skipped and he wouldn't have been able to interact with it in any way? I am so confused by this.

When Locke was in the plane putting on a tourniquet and someone (Richard) approached with a torch I almost thought it would be Charlie!

Why doesn't Ben ever say that Desmond has to go back to the island? He was there and left, too.

I loved when Ben sort of took up for Jack with Jill in the butcher shop. "He's been through a lot." I am not sure if that was genuine, but it was nice. Especially since Jack wasn't there to hear him say it, he didn't have to say it.

Is Cheech Marin really that fat??

Never thought I would see an "I Love Shih Tzus" tee-shirt on Lost!!

Was the tall black cop in LA the creepy guy who shows up from time to time, for example, claiming to be rep of Oceanic Airlines? I can't remember his name on the show or his real name, but I think some of you have said he was on The Shield or The Wire? They never show his face so I wondered if it could be him.

I feel so sad for Aaron's disrupted life. When he said, "Mommy, I want to go home!" I almost cried. I think I am a sucker for kiddies these days!

i think locke wouldnt have been able to interact with eko's brother/the plane and that he was just seeing it because of the time skip. but who knows if i'm correct!

my sister asked me about the black cop too and if he was the same person. i tried to get a good look at him during the episode but i couldnt tell. anyone with dvr know for sure?

i think that they people that went to kate about the blood test were only doing that to get her to run. no idea who they work for - widmore or ben or sun - but thats what i think.

Oh, something I forgot earlier. How lame was the scene with Ana Lucia? Did that really happen, or does Hurley actually have some craziness in him? Just when I thought, "Okay, maybe this scene isn't as dumb as I think it is," A.L. delivered the "Libby says hi" line. Now that was stupid. It felt out of place on Lost. I don't know if the show was trying to be funny, or trying to make fun of itself, or if it was really supposed to be serious, but it just did not work for me.

Thanks for that Chooch. I might have to go back and read through some earlier threads on LOST. I used to keep up with all that stuff but I've kind of slacked off lately.

I thought it was kind of funny on multiple levels- because of the irony of Michelle Rodriguez advising Hurley to stay away from the cops, and because practically every Lost viewer on the planet absolutely loathes Ana Lucia- so I got a kick out of it.

Keep in mind, though, that I'm easily amused. *(I watch a lot of VH1, if that tells you anything  )
