Amazing Race 3/29: An elephant stepped on my butt

I'm so sad that Mel and Mike were eliminated. That had such a good attitude and seemed to be enjoying themselves so much. I was really hoping they would make it to the final three.

The small bros seemed especially ditzy last night. They were really far ahead of the other teams, if they had take another 5 minutes, they would have come in first place.

The mean, nasty redhead (Jamie?) is getting uglier every week. I wanted to slap her when she was screaming at that elderly gentleman who was opening the drawers for them.


And when I go on the amazing race, I'm definitely fainting on the mat so Phil will catch me in his arms. A little heat stroke would totally be worth it. :simplesmile:

Wow, this week's race went fast!

Mike & Mark were the first to get penalties this season & they got TWO! From first to third in an hour.

Phil should have listened to Mom Margie when she said she needed a drink! He was too busy getting his sign launguage right. I think when she made the statement that her hands were freezing was a big clue! I wonder what happend. Did she go in the ambulance? I checked the site today & there is no mention of it.

I'm really ready for Jamie & Cara to go home anytime now. They were such assholes at the spice store!

I'm also sad to see Mel & Mike go home. I love those two. I knew they were doomed at the beginning of the race when Mike made the remark that they needed to remember to have fun while racing because it's a once in a lifetime event.

Does anyone else check out the "Phil Videos" on the CBS site. They are so cute. This week Phil is exercising in Russia by running up 23 stair levels in the hotel.

... and there's a little soap opera, "Big Brother" style with the eliminated teams. They all end up in Thailand together under the same roof & some are just not getting along! The southern couple, Steve & Linda, feel slighted by the others. Such drama!!! Hahaha.... there are clips every week.

Five teams left... Who do you want to win? I think I'm gonna root for Lakisha & Jennifer now that Mel & Mike are out of it, but I do like Mark & Michael too. I like them all except Jamie & Cara!!!

I have also been enjoying the videos on the CBS site - including Phil's. He really seems to have a good sense of humor. And yes, the drama with Steve and Linda - that's some good tv.

I also like the teams - with the exception of Jamie & Cara - pretty good karma in the spice shop where they walked in first and walked out last (except for Mike and Mel).

Was this the first episode without a roadblock or am I imagining things? The activities at the Phuket zoo were completed by both team members...

I am all set with Team Frodo. Everyone bitches about Victor and Tammy leaving the other teams behind in Russia or Marj and Luke using the U-Turn, but those are legitimate and fair tactics in the race. In my eyes, what the Tweedles did was far worse. Are they so lacking in confidence in their own abilities that they had to purposely try to sabotage the other teams? There was no need to actually be nasty little trolls and I am glad that their foul play came back to bite them in the ass.

The cheerleaders are gross. You may be pretty on the outside, but inside you are worthless. Jaime is the one spewing the most hate but Cara just laughs it off. They would EPIC FAIL on Wicked Pretty.

At this point I am rooting for Kisha and Jen, mostly because they are the least objectionable.

i cant believe that they all had their hands on the tiger for their pictures! that was insane! and i'm glad they all noticed that the tiger trainer/handler only had one arm... i would have been so nervous. plus he kept shoving that stick under the tiger's head before the pictures were taken - i would have peed my pants!

i too am sad that mike & mel are gone. i really liked them. it seemed like they made up alot of time. they said on realitytvworld.com that they finished maybe 5 minutes behind Lakisha & Jen. they also said that their cab driver kept calling in to find out where the other cabs were going and then taking them there. so they were get to places out of order. good try though cabbie!

i kept yelling at phil to hurry up & tell margie & luke what team they were so she could sit down! poor thing!

I adore Cara, and I think she's being hilariously passive aggressive in her interviews regarding Jaime's behavior. It's her responsibility to protect her working relationship with Jaime and to keep the team moving toward a million dollars. She's not there to protect the locals from her hideous bitch of a partner. It's a competition, not a goodwill tour.

I finally watched this episode online last night; we missed the original airing during our epic move.

I too was sad to see Mel and Mike go. They ran a good race and I know they had fun so at least they have their dignity and their memories! Now I will have to choose another team to root for and I don't think I can. I don't really like any of the ones that are left. Sigh.

Those cheerleaders are horrible people. Jaime especially is living up to the stereotype of the "ugly American" in every way. I hate watching them and it isn't even a case of "love to hate," it's just hate. I can't wait for them to go!

And can we please have a nasty eating challenge already? They rock!
