Oh God... a Kate flashback! I thought we were over those. It took the whole episode for us to find out that she came back to the island to find Claire. That's very sweet & even commendable, but the whole hour!
The best part of the show was when Hurley & Miles are talking about just what we, here in the audience, have been talking about.... TIME TRAVEL & what it means on the show... Loved it! I related to Hurley's reference to Doc Brown & "Back to the Future".
..... and am I to assume that it's all Kate & Sawyer's fault that Ben is the way he is today because of them?
Ya know what's weird. I've been recording the episodes from SciFi every day. They show s#2 (in the Swan hatch) at 4pm & s#3 (Others living in the compound)at 1am. Tonight's s#3 episode was a Kate flashback with her & Candy (Sawyer's GF) & how they met. It was also the episode where the Others take off with Locke joining them & leaving Juliet behind handcuffed to Kate. It was called ".....And Found". The relevence to what's happening now is quite interesting.
Next week it's all about Ben & I will be very happy.

and all the time travel theory was hilarious. loved when hurley was like "well then why doesnt ben remember sayid when we capture him 30 years from now?" and miles was totally stumped! so great!
i cant believe that Kate just left a sleeping 3 year old in a motel! wtf woman!

I thought last night's episode was really pretty good. Even though I feel like the episodes where they answer questions aren't as satisfying to watch as the ones where they give you a lot to think about, but we all wanted answers, so here they are!
I also really enjoyed the Miles/Hurley theory talk, I think they covered just about every scenario viewers have come up with. Jack added some food for thought as well.
I don't think Kate/Sawyer are responsible for Ben ending up the way he is, you could say it was Jack for not helping fix him. But even if he had, Ben still would have left for the Others because that's what he ultimately wanted and he would have been in lots of trouble with his dad for stealing the keys. Now that Jack hasn't helped him, Richard is gonna take him to smokey to get the quick fix. He'll probably have to sell his soul to the island and I liked what Richard said about him "losing his innocence" that was foreshadowing huh?
I'm glad they at least showed that Kate gave aaron to someone responsible and she didn't just dump him with someone crazy. The part with Cassidy and Clementine was interesting cause she put ideas in Kate's head that, as a viewer, I thought were crazy but then when Kate confronted Sawyer about why he jumped out of the helicopter they seemed to be confirmed. He was afraid of what would happen if he stayed on, though Cassidy might have been referring to herself and Clementine but Sawyer seemed to relate mainly to him and Kate.
Excited for Ben's episode! And will we get some answers about the Smoke monster too?

I was not happy to see the episode was about Kate. It sure seemed to drag even though we got answers. In fact all the episodes seem to drag lately. Don't mean to offend anyone but I have watched LOST from day 1 and these episode are lacking the excitement they one had.
My first thought when Kate & Sawyer was so they are responsible for what happens to Ben. Yes, he probably would have left anyway but still they played a role.
I am glad Jack didn't do the surgery & Juliet was like "i needed you blah, blah" and Jack is probably thinking well I finally thought about what I wanted and I am still getting crap from others & when I do what I think is right for everyone I get crap then as well. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I didn't think Cassidy's ideas were crazy...remember Sawyer left her after they pulled of a hiest. He doesn't take responsibilty and him leaving the island he'd have to deal, not only w/ Kate, but Cassidy & Clementine as well.
Ok and one last thing...does it bug anyone how long it takes Juliet to blink sometimes she like closes her eyes, does a double blink and then opens them again. Oh, and Kate...all she does is turn her head sideways and look up with her puppy dog eyes. Ok, now i'm just nit-picking. sorry :o

Jack didn't cry ONCE this whole ep! I am impressed.
I seriously stood up in the middle of my living room and said "YES" when Hurley was talking about how Ben doesn't remember them. Thank you, Hurley. And lovely little deus ex machina there, that Richard is going to take Ben away and erase his memory. So. very. lame.
I'm sooooo happy that next week is a Ben ep!! Hopefully that should pick things up quite a bit, because the Kate and Jack eps are almost always boring.
Mel, I agree that this season is not as thrilling as most, but I never really was into all the sci-fi freaky shit that the show offers; I was always drawn to the mystery of how all these people are connected. I guess we'll get more of that aspect next season, since this one is all about the weirdness.

I absolutely loved this. I was laughing hysterically because it addressed just about every question I have been asking myself about the time changes. Seeing the characters as confused as I am was making me feel slightly better.
And I HATE Kate episodes. She's just not an interesting character to me. I really don't see why she ever kept Aaron in the first place. The whole "needed him" angle was almost obnoxious to me. She "needed" a human being for her own reasons and now was okay to just give him to his grandmother for a bit?? What about the woman who Aaron would be the only memory of her daughter for? Ugh, Kate, you are so selfish!
